There was barely any meat and was flavorless (carnitas), the cheese was unevenly tucked in a weird way among the other ingredients, the fajita peppers were under cooked, and generally the flavor seemed pretty bland. it's a bummer that this location is so close to my boyfriend's place that it's the convenient one for us to walk to. the last few times we've gone they've been completely out of items (and it wasn't close to closing time) and very poor with customer service. we asked for half barbacoa, half sofritas and the employee on the line gave a small pinch of barbacoa compared to a reasonable "half" amount". when asked for a little bit more, they rolled their eyes, gave a little bit more and then sloppily tossed the salsa on threw the salsa on. and that doesn't even account for the long hair found in one of our burrito bowls once we got home... yeesh. read more

I've never had an issue ordering from this Chipotle but today I was dismayed that they got my Door Dash order completely wrong! I had ordered a bowl with brown rice, black beans, lettuce, fajitas, corn, and the green salsa with guacamole. I received my order from Door Dash and it was clearly someone else's bowl perhaps because most of the items were completely wrong. They added sour cream and cheese and no lettuce or guac and the wrong salsa. I ordered two bags of chips and a side tortilla which did correctly come so clearly the order was somewhat correct but the bowl was a TOTAL mistake. I do not typically eat that much dairy and had to scrape what I could of the cheese and sour cream off. Very dissapointed!! read more

Amazed at how unbelievably and consistently rude one of the employees here is to customers who have done nothing to her. It has been MONTHS she has been doing this. I chalked it up to a bad night at work the first time but now I just think she has a vendetta against customers. Most recently I saw her go out of her way to leave the line and walk up to the register and chastise a customer for not speaking loudly enough for her. She scowls, huffs, rolls her eyes, verbally berates you for not ordering how she likes you to order, slams the food. Girl, quit your job!! It's nobody else's problem that you hate it so much. I can't imagine management hasn't received multiple complaints already. On top of that this location is routinely out of common ingredients and the quality is very inconsistent. During the recent Boorito offer, I spent hours trying to order on my app to only receive continuous error messages or not accepting the code. I also tried their web page and receive different error messages. It's disappointing for them to offer a special and that their system cannot handle the volume of orders. At least I am assuming that was the problem? Needless to say I was not able to process and order with that promotion. read more

This is better than some other locations I have been to. There has never been a long wait to order. The staff have always been friendly and provided large portions. I have found that it is always clean and well organized. The refreshment area is always stocked as well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. However, parking in this area can be quite a headache. read more

Let me start with the fact that Chipotle is my favorite chain restaurant. After going to this location 4 times I have to agree with other reviewers that this has to be the worst location in the region and the worst I have been to in multiple states. Employee morale is horrible, the food is kept lukewarm at best (microwave it or risk getting sick!) and the portions are below average. I only gave it four chances because I live two blocks away and this time is my last. It's worth driving a few miles further for quality Chipotle and there are other, much better Mexican restaurants in the area. Chipotle corporate, I only gave two stars due to brand loyalty. If this is one of the few franchises you contracted you should definitely look into revoking their license as they are horrible for your reputation. If not, you may need to clean house with management here. read more

Placed an order for 34 burritos that we picked up for an employee event. First problem was the order was 20 minutes late being ready and then as we are passing out the orders we find that we are missing four. When I called after the event to person on the phone asked what I wanted her to do about it and then she said if I wanted my $50 refund i had to go into the store with my credit card. I finally hung up and called the 800 number for catering and they were much more helpful and were able to issue the refund from my original order, of course they offered nothing for the inconvenience, but at least I got my money back. This place is hit or miss. We always order ahead. One time there was a strand of hair in my burrito bowl. They made me a new bowl. Another time, our pick up wasn't ready at noon and instead we waited until about 12:30 pm. 11:40 am pick up seems to be the best time as after 12 pm, they can get extremely busy. Sometimes they overload your bowls and one time I ordered a salad that had a couple pieces of greens. There's no consistency here. I guess my recommendation is to order in the line so you can see that your order is being done correctly but the whole point of online ordering for pick up is the convenience. They deserve the 1 star for the 1/10 burritos that are done well. And because they're right around the corner from me. I wish that I would go in and discover that the new phase of employees might actually care about their job, the customers, the food, and changing their depressing attitudes. The purple-haired manager with the accent is so rude. Myself and other DoorDashers I know role our eyes when we have to tolerate her, but today went too far. Normally it's something petty like correcting me on the pronunciation of a customer's name (Danielle, not Daniel). Today I asked her to remind me of the restroom code while I waited for a DoorDash order. She had the gall to stutter out, "sorry, new policy, DoorDashers can't use the restroom" "You have to buy something and we'll write the code on your receipt." New Chipotle policy? Come on...You expect me to believe that's the Chipotle policy? I know this location is in the heart of Midtown and they need to keep the homeless out of the bathroom, but I'm working delivering your customer's food. Where are we supposed to use a restroom? My roommate told me of a horrible experience she had at this Chipolte and her review was censored and never appeared. I'm going to add it as an attachment in the hope that it reaches the "owner" and he can take action to clean up his store. This involves the mandatory wearing of face covers and the refusal of service after she stood in line and waited her turn. A woman in front of her in line did not have a face mask either and they served her. Face masks should be voluntary not mandatory because of the health risks to the wearer. I dropped by Chipotle on my way home from shopping. As soon as I walked in the door I received a warm welcome from the women preparing orders behind the counter. I was third in line but the time went by fast because of the efficiency of the Chipotle worker, she was making orders, greeting incoming customers and letting me know she'd be right with me. I made my order and I noticed how she made it with care. We made small talk, I paid and she invited me back to Chipotle. I told April that I would be back soon! Midtown Chipotle is an easy, fairly quick lunch spot. The line gets to be long during the noon hour so come early if you can. The food is always good. Customer service is average. They are quick so there isn't time for pleasantries. Some outdoor seating although it's usually full because there aren't many tables. It's extremely loud in the room with the counter, loud music blasting and staff shouting. The other room is a bit quieter. You can order ahead and pick up at their pick-up counter and even order catering for parties. Their prices are decent, eg. $8 before tax for a huge chicken burrito. Healthier place to eat and get your veggies. Street parking only, metered out front or free 2-hour if you park a couple blocks away. read more

I'm updating my review because the service has had a complete 180 since my last one. They have all new staff members and everyone there is much better than the previous. The food always tastes amazing. The staff are generous with portioning ingredients and everyone is really nice. All my orders are made exactly how I order them. I placed my order in advance online last Friday for myself and my family. We were attending my daughter's Senior Day bring your parent to lunch, and she specifically requested Chipotle. I requested the order be ready at 12:00 pm. I arrived within minutes of noon, and was informed they were still working on the order. Shortly after I was given a bag and sent on my way. However, I did notice they did not give me any utensils so I grabbed them myself, and the bag appeared pretty light for 2 burritos and 1 salad. When I arrived to my daughter's school, I was appalled by the size of all our meals. My salad was supposed to be half steak and half chicken; there was barely any of each (which steak cost more). I requested almost all the salsas, there was a "drizzle" of each. It was plain pitiful. My salad was carb free (no rice and no beans), like normally I thought they would give me more vegetables and lettuce, again did not happen. The burritos were just as bad; the size alone was just plain sad. Again barely any salsa or meat, majority rice and dry as heck. I also noticed though online asked for names for each meal, they did not label them, so we have to open each burrito to determine who's is who's? I have been to this location before so I am not sure if it is because the To-Go orders are made behind the scenes and not in front of the customer but they should rethink their size/portion process. I have never seen my kid eat her whole burrito! This visit was very disappointing and not worth the price. Never ordering online again (at least not here). Update: I did email this same review to corporate, they replied within hours; apologized, will be reaching out to midtown manager and sending me free coupons. Chipotle, why are you so close to my apartment? Friendly neighborhood Chipotle, don't you know how crazy addictive you are? I have a steak burrito problem and you don't help to make it better. Well, actually you do. This is an awesome location with plenty of room to stay and munch, along with patio seating, which is part of the fun of dining in midtown. I sometimes take it to go because it's so so close, but often times I'll stay on the aforementioned back patio and read a book as I scarf. I don't have many gripes about this one other than sometimes getting bits of gristle in my steak and meh greens. Don't tell me what's in the guac, please. So delicious. The chips are quite salty, but also a tasty treat. I just need a lot of water if I'm going to be chomping some of those babies down. Chipotle almost never lets me down, and I appreciate their willingness to make me the weird things I ask for such as quesaritos (two kinds!) and burrito bowls with taco shells so that I can make my own perfect tacos, thank you very much. read more

Go ahead - eat Satan's burritos... addendum - I got a complaint from a yelp elite that I didn't have my facts straight on the McDonald's connection - well I didn't mean to misstate things - but here is what I know: "By 1999, (McDonalds) had grown to a controlling interest, and by 2005, it was 92%. The McDonald's connection allowed the firm to quickly expand, from 14 restaurants in 1998 to 480 at the end of 2005." One of my chief objections to Chipotles is that it is a corporate chain restaurant with a similar corporate model to McDonalds. They came from Colorado, not Mexico, and they engage in propagandist advertising. Coli for just a dollar more?" "Yup." For the record, I have never gotten food poisoning from this location or any Chipotle that I've been to (and I get my Chipotle fix pretty frequently). This whole E. Coli thing is kinda the elephant in the room though, so until next month when corporate can reassure the public the meat we've come to love and enjoy is no longer tainted, let's take a deep breath...and exhale. OK, moving on. Chipotle A is usually no different than Chipotle B in terms of the quality of food you're gonna get. Trial-and-error of their ingredients over the years was a process that slowly refined into my favorite dish (flour tacos, steak, no salsa, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, guac), and since then I've been programmed as a customer to mechanically recite the same order. I have no qualms with this--it comes out pretty good because it's MY dish. There are a few things though that make this Midtown Chipotle distinguish itself from its other twin restaurant siblings. MEAT This location is pretty liberally with the meat they dish out. None of that one scoop deal, where the Chipotle chef underestimates the amount of meat for your entree and then attempts to "spread out" the meat across the tortilla rather than add another scoop. This isn't a soup kitchen, there's plenty to go around for everyone. WAIT Don't come here during lunch...just don't. For one hour it becomes a white-collar haven for all the offices around Midtown. The line can sometimes take 15 minutes. On the plus side, because this Chipotle gets most of its business during peak lunch hour, it's actually pretty quiet during dinner. That's your best time to go. PARKING There's really not much of a parking lot. There's metered parking on side streets, or if you come after 6pm it's free. Again, you can avoid a lot of inconvenience if you make this a dinner run rather than coming around lunch. All in all, get your Chipotle fix here for dinner, not lunch. read more

Days like this I justify eating out at Chipotle because of the great food choices (brown rice, veggies, sofritas etc.) that fit into my nutrition plan as a runner. I was pleasantly surprised by the label on my lunch ordered online "prepared with love by: Isabel" It made me smile so I posted a photo on Yelp while I ate alone on the sunny patio. I just read this article from The Onion about Chipotle, and the same thing happened to me. Then I realized these burritos probably have two days worth of fat and calories anyway, so I didn't need it. When I got to the cash register, I ordered a bag of chips, forgetting that Chipotle is run by penny pinchers who overcharge for their micro bags of chips. Unlike most Mexican restaurants which give them away free. Then they put my salsa in a itty-bitty widdle cup about the size of a shot glass. I was thinking two things at the time. LA & ME. No, I don't mean Los Angeles and a "Me, a name I call myself." (Thank you Von Trap Family Singers.) I was thinking....LAME!!! Why am I paying for this tiny little serving of greasy, nasty, lime-soaked chips and a shot of salsa. I could go to almost any other Mexican restaurant in town and eat a platter full for free!!!
