Well, this sure is a shame. Brand new --only been open a few weeks and Sadly understaffed. I waited over 20 minutes in line at 3:30 (not a rush hour time). The beans looked crusty and the meat questionable liked they'd all been sitting out too long. Instead I opted for chips and dips (Can't screw that up, right? wrong.) Eager to get back on the road after waiting so long for "fast food" I got to my car after paying $15 and noticed my barely filled "Large" bag of STALE chips. The queso was cold and the guacamole was barely edible it was so salty. So, folks, truly save yourself the wait. They need to hire more people and DEFINITELY not serve stale chips. Bleh! read more

So far I haven't successfully gotten food and I am on my second try. The first time they ran out of meat on the line and the staff just walked away except for one who wouldn't say anything or make eye contact. I figured they are new and just got overwhelmed, after 15-20 minutes with nothing happening we just left. Now it's been a while so they should be moving more efficiently, but I ordered on Grubhub over an hour ago and it still says "in the works". The time keeps on moving back. At this point the estimate says it will be here at a minimum 1:45 after I ordered. This is crazy for a simple order at Chipotle. I really wanted this place to succeed, our neighborhood needs more good options, but I just don't know how many chances I can give them at this point. read more

Certain people in line received double the size of mine. I don't like beans on my salad, so I asked for extra lettuce. The female server grunted at me. I did not receive extra. I had to allow 5 people to go ahead of me because the lettuce bin was empty. Cool? No! It wasn't fresh. It was old and some was rotten. My chicken portion seemed way less than others. I ended up throwing it away after only a few bites. Never again. I'll drive 5 miles to go to a better run Chipotle! My friend asked for beef and received chicken. New chipotle in skyway marina area. Has a drive thru! Located in plaza with smoke shop and pawn shop. Drive thru is only for picking up order. I tried them out in their first week of operation and they are slammed with business so be patient. I suspect the crowd will lessen once the community is acclimated. I decided to order from this chipotle via mobile order and pick up in the drive-through and they had no record of my order even though I ordered on the app. I had to circle back around the drive-through for them to make the order and showthem my screen. It is a little frustrating but again they are still very new and working out all the kinks. I don't think I was the only person that was affected by this because when I looped around again to get my order, it looked like they could not find a record of the other person's order in front of me either. Again, patience is a virtue but thankful to have them in South St. Pete. Food was hot and prepared well. read more

I frequent different chipotle locations. This one has long lines. Slow staff. Decent portions. Honey chipotle chicken which I love , at this location was the regular chicken so I paid extra for the same chicken. read more

When a new location opens you think that they would ensure that they are properly staffed for peak hours of business so everything runs efficiently, being that it's a popular fast food chain and will get a lot of business. I guess not ! Looked like chickens running around with their heads cut off, no sense of urgency but also extreme disorganization To start off this Chipotle has a drive through which means there are 2 stations, one for walk-ins and one for the drive- through. The line inside was so long I waited 30 minutes until I could order. After 10 minutes of waiting I was already committed because I didn't want to wait or drive anywhere else for food. It's almost my turn to order but as I'm watching the person in front of me trying to order their bowl, someone from the drive- through station comes and takes the dish of white rice for the station for walk-ins. With no replacement for white rice being available to order. The lady asks "well since you just took the white rice from here why can't I get some from where you took it?!" They "couldn't" give her the white rice from the drive-through station (yeah that makes sense). They were out of/did not have the following items prepared/ready: white rice, black beans, chicken & steak. All of which are pretty common things that people order. I just ordered everything they had because I didn't feel like waiting longer and was just hungry at this point, the walk-in station was so messy, the girl wrapped up my burrito with rice food all over the tinfoil on it still. The food was decent but it seems like they did not care about the portion sizing at all because she tried to give me about 5 pieces of chicken in my burrito when you definitely get more than that. So I asked for more because I'm not paying $12 for a burrito that has a sprinkle of chicken on it. Safe to say I'll probably just drive to the chipotle on 4th street because they're more efficient and actually have a manager present to make sure everything is running the way it should. read more

I don't typically review but this restaurant is in my neighborhood and I like Chipotle so I'm hoping Ownership/Franchisee reads this and makes some changes. Been in line for 35 minutes and still have 5 people in front of me. No one moves with purpose here. There is only one person working the line while 3 are working the drive thru. Cashier stays busy (slowly) but should help on the line. Two workers took their break during this rush. This place could be a gold mine in this area but soon will be abandoned by neighborhood people not wanting to waste their time. read more

so my wife takes me to a chipotle for the first time. it had been open a few weeks so I understood the slow service, but wow, was it a bad experience. at 430 pm, we stood in line for 35 minutes - go to order and there was no rice, no beans, and the chicken in the pan was taken by the drive thru team as I asked for it. I asked the employee to go back and get it for my order and she was told by the other employee - no. we asked for the manager and he just walked by and said it would be 15 minutes for rice, not sure on beans, and chicken maybe 20 minutes. all that meant, we were not getting dinner. so we left. how can the manager and chipotle corporate let that happen? horrible management. read more
