Accidentally ended up on 34th street due to 275 being a parking lot, and drove by Kings this afternoon. We were on our way to a friends for a birthday cake celebration and to catch up for a few hours. Surprisingly as we got in the car to head back north, I was asked if I wanted to pick up some chicken and since I had not eaten there in a few years, I said sure. It was only a 25 min drive home, so we weren't worried about it being hot, and the service was super fast. I really enjoyed speaking with the person at the counter for a few minutes and the way he thanked us and hoped we enjoyed the biscuits/chicken/fries made the entire experience great. I had a 3 piece combo and my wife had 2 piece. I have to admit, I ate the whole thing and loved it. My wife saved some of hers for later, but my guess is that by tomorrow it will be eaten. The chicken is tender and juicy, the skin is delicious. I only eat fried chicken as a rule maybe 3-4 times a year and it has to be great because I am not naive on how healthy any of this is. But everything in moderation. Fries are so plentiful and they also were wonderful. Hot, but not overly salty and parked under the chicken. Very generous. The biscuits are famous for a reason. I could only eat one for sure. Very dense, but still moist when we got it home. We will be back again next time I am in the mood. read more

I have heard good things about King's Fried Chicken, so I decided to also try it out for myself. I was welcomed and assisted by the friendly Jocelyn. The menu was overwhelming so I made the decision to focus on the chicken. Jocelyn was so kind to help me in making my choices on which side and what kind of biscuit to choose. I went with the Snack Box which consisted of 2 pieces of chicken, a side, and a biscuit. I chose Mac n' cheese for my side with the honey biscuit. I also added a side of corn to my order because...who doesn't love corn? The fried chicken was delicious and the honey biscuit was AMAZING!!! I'm giving them 3 stars because the guys working there were really nice, you can order online and pick up, and they seem to be a welcome part of their community. I'll own my part in not verifying but I thought buying them from a restaurant that has fried chicken, they would be pieces of chicken and not processed, rubbery nuggets. The chicken dinner box we bought came with honey biscuits. These were really different from any honey buiscuits I've ever had. I wish I had taken a photo but I didn't, so I'll try to describe them. They are typical buiscuits but it seems they are sat in a big tray of honey, so the entire bottom is drenched in sticky honey. It's just the bottom. It sounds good but they were mushy and way too sweet for us. I think this item could be subjective since a person with an incredible sweet tooth might enjoy these. We ordered ahead. It was very easy and our total was a little over $37 for a Dinner Pack (12 pc. Chicken, 3 individual size sides, 4 biscuits), a 20 pc chicken nugget, and 2 extra larger sides. The 2 guys working there seemed to be in a great mood and genuinely nice. They definitely earn stars! You can tell they do a decent volume of business. It was out first time here, so I went with a 5 piece chicken meal and a honey butter biscuit.
