From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like we were old friends, so warm, so welcoming, and genuinely fun to be around. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves before the food even hit the table. We sat outside with low lighting, soft live music in the background, and the most perfect relaxed atmosphere. The music was lowkey but so good, it added to the experience without taking over. And the food... wow. The wedge salad with the fish of the day was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and just done right. Very nice restaurant on 30A just a couple miles from "downtown " Seaside. We had a reservation on a busy holiday Friday night and we got a great table. Such a cool spot that feels a bit hidden away from the 30A hustle. We were the first to show up for dinner and seated outside right away. We were greeted by about 4 or 5 different guys dropping us their business cards and they took exceptional care of us. Most of us got the fish of the day which was blackened grouper. Delicious couple pieces of flaky fish that came with green beans and mashed potatoes. $48 for all of it which felt a bit pricier than other comparable places but they make up for it with great friendly service. Some of the best service and some of the most kind people ever! We made reservations in advance but came in on a slow Saturday. The staff greeted us immediately and any time we met someone new, they dropped off personalized business cards which are so fun! The food came out fast and all of it was amazing! Yikes, not sure where to start. The owner gave off an odd vibe; boasting about her custom Tesla she picked up in Atlanta fell flat, especially when she parked it right out front. Not exactly the best first impression. I get you worked hard for it, coming from someone who was previously in the industry, but it was a little awkward. Our server Sam was awesome, genuinely attentive and friendly. I really appreciate that they hire young adults and give them a chance to make good money. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the prices. My redfish plate was $45 for what felt like a pretty basic meal of fish, mashed potatoes, and green beans without the creamy creole sauce offered. The oyster special came out on a plate with no ice, which immediately made my stomach turn. My husband, 10 month old baby and I stopped in to Grayton Seafood for my 30th birthday. We didn't have a reservation, but the host Navin was exceedingly accommodating and found us seating quickly. The service throughout our whole meal was exceptional, especially our main server Emma. From the bartender to the other waitstaff to the host, our experience with the service was outstanding. They even offered a few sweet surprises after learning it was my birthday! Just as importantly, the seafood at Grayton was genuinely some of the best I've ever had in the gulf. We got the smoked tuna dip, grouper special and shrimp with grits. Each dish was perfectly prepared and had large portions...my only regret is not snapping a picture for this review because it was beautifully plated as well! What a gem! We stopped in during a family vacation on 30A! We were blown away by the exceptional customer service. The owners were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The pasta was absolutely fantastic! My step mom enjoyed her crab claws, said they were the best she's had. And my girls loved their kids meals. Service- have to be one of the nicest restaurant staff I have ever met. Very attentive, Nicky and Jordan never let us go unattended and accommodated me being difficult lol! Such an amazing place!!! There is a small parking lot next to the place for cars. We came on a Friday evening around 7:45PM with no reservation and we got seated relatively quickly inside! Our waitress was such a delight and she took our drink orders. I got the Grayton beach pale ale and it was pretty decent! For the main, I got the fish of the day grilled which was triple tail that day with fries and onion rings. The fish was grilled to absolute perfection! The fries were piping hot and those were some of the best onion rings I've had in a long time. This meal was absolutely excellent! Our entire table loved everything. We came here to meet some friends for dinner after seeing some great reviews. We made our reservation and got here right as they opened. I know we had a large party, but it took them a LONG time to bring out drinks. They also didn't bring out the children's food until almost an hour after ordering, and the adult's food probably another 10-15 minutes after that. The party was definitely getting restless... The food was a mixed bag. The burgers that were ordered were dry and well done when they were ordered medium, and the people who ordered them were not able to finish them. Thankfully the restaurant comped those meals. The restaurant was busy, but considering we were there at the opening, I figured it would have been better service as it would only get more hectic as time went on. Maybe it was due to the fact we were set off to the side and kinda forgotten about - out of sight, out of mind. My wife got the grilled shrimp, and I got the creole shrimp pasta, and both of our meals were good. I really enjoyed the pasta. Recently visited with a larger party. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Service however was not good. This is the primary reason for the 3 stars. We had to continually ask for refills (cups were completely empty). Had to ask for napkins, sauces, etc. Food was good though. I had recently dined with just my husband a few months back and we both thought the place was absolutely perfect. From the food to the service. I had really overhyped the place to our party and was let down. Two completely different experiences. Came here for dinner with friends. We had a reservation for 10 people for 5pm. I liked the reservation process. I just texted them, they responded, and I was all set. We arrived and the appointed time and sat outside. We ordered our food and the wait began. I am pretty patient and don't mind waiting because I like taking my time but after an hour I was annoyed. We had 3 little ones with us. Finally the kids meals arrived. They each had chicken fingers and fries and although I didn't eat them, the kids seemed to enjoy them and they were plentiful. We still had another 10 to 15 minute wait for the adults food to arrive. My husband and daughters burgers were overcooked. They were this side of burned. Totally dry. They did their best to eat them because at this point they were starving. I ordered a salad with blackened chicken. Fortunately mine was pretty good and I enjoyed it. My daughter and son in law enjoyed their crab cakes. The service was decent considering the place was busy. They comped the burgers which I appreciated. Grayton Seafood has a special place in my family's hearts. We came here for an impromptu reception following a semi-impromptu beach wedding of my sister and her now husband in September 2020 and now it's a must visit. We come to Grayton at least once a year (sometimes more) and came in April 2023 for a small (you guessed it, impromptu) family reunion. I don't ever finish my plate but I guess when the chefs special is blackened grouper, mashed potatoes and asparagus, it's easy. I cannot fail to mention the crab fingers (steamed and fried) - unfortunately they disappeared before I could snap a photo :) These folks even decorated our space with a happy birthday banner. That is genuine, simple customer care. The owner was at a table nearby and she greeted us and said goodbye to us. We feel like family here and that's what keeps us coming back. read more

Great seafood. Not that expensive. We were a group of 6 adults and 8 children ranging in age from twins at 6 months to 10 years old.

We actually showed up the day before and it was booked for the evening. So we made a reservation for tonight and we were glad we got a chance to enjoy the food and ambiance. Seating is limited. Changed to the grouper it was heavily salted and only ate about half. Wife ordered the crab cakes. They were mostly filllers with very little crab meat for the price. GSC was incredible! Everything was top notch from food, to service, to beachy ambiance. Our server, Logan was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. We are in 30A on vacation and read so many great reviews and decided to check this place out. We made reservations by texting which was answered in a timely manner. We showed up a little early to be seated and were seated right away. The restaurant is well-appointed with a rustic nautical theme and the servers were extremely friendly and attentive. I am Gluten-sensitive and was pleased to learn there were multiple things I could eat on the menu. The food was SO GOOD. My husband and kiddos raved about each of the dishes they chose and my blackened chicken tenders with homemade cheddar grits and fried okra was delicious.
