First visit and it won't be my last! What an incredible addition to Gulf Breeze. It's just brunch and lunch. I was jonesing for a burger. The mushroom and Swiss was the answer. Cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted absolutely delicious. Others in my party got the avocado toast...awesome. BLT...awesome. Omelette...awesome. All the portions were very generous. Don't get the eggs Benedict. They have tough muffins and they don't use Canadian bacon they use like sandwich ham. The egg poached was good and the sauce was just ok. My wife ordered the pancakes while it was on the menu. They charged her an extra $3.50 for the blueberries. Kind of a rip off I think I'll never go back as the first time I've been, but I'll never go back. had high hopes this would be my go to breakfast place, but it did not pass. read more

First timers here. We were greeted and seated right away for a late breakfast, early lunch at 11am. It's a really nice sized restaurant and it had a great crowd. Noticed a handful of elderly patrons and some young families with small children. A nice mixture of people. My friend wanted a decaf iced coffee, not available. Which I thought how hard would it be to pour over ice? Also asked about fresh juices, again none available but they did offer 3 different options. We like the choices on the menu but preferred the potatos to be a little larger instead of tiny cubes. I had the Avocado salmon toast which was delicious and again would have preferred slices of avocado instead of it being creamy. It was very tasty but messy as I took each bite. The waitress was nice and friendly which was a plus and checked on us periodically to see if we needed anything else. They also have a bar where Bloody Mary's and other adult beverages were available. We plan on returning to try other things on the menu soon. Chirps is absolutely amazing!! The food is good and their customer service is beyond incredible!! My 94 year old mother loves to go there and loves the fried green tomatoes. She lives in Gulf Breeze and I live in Wyoming. I tried to Door Dash her some but they don't go there. I called the restaurant and asked if there was anyway I could get some delivered to her. They took them to her and they were still hot when she got them. She was so happy!! read more

There wasn't much business at Chirps when we arrived, though things picked up considerably during our visit. We were seated quickly, though our party didn't find the straight-backed booth seating terribly comfortable. The dining area was clean and well organized. However, the waitress didn't start things off well with her initial tasks. She brought the wrong drinks. And though she apologized, she had to be prompted to correct the ticket, as we were still being charged for items we never ordered. After the drink debacle began, and though we told her we needed a few minutes to choose our dishes, she waited no more than 90 seconds before asking again about what we wanted to eat. Perhaps it was just nerves or something, but she didn't seem to have it together. Opinions about the food were spotty among our group. My salmon Benedict was reasonably good though nothing special. The BLT was graded by another diner as okay, but the bacon was said to be a bit tough. Another group member sampled one of the omelets and called it dry and relatively flavorless. I get the feeling this could be a nice breakfast stop with a little more refinement. read more

I was on vacation in the area and this spot has good reviews on Yelp. I got a ham, cheese, and mushroom omelette. Serving was huge, price was good, and they kept my iced tea full the whole time I was there. The restaurant itself is super cute, very homey feeling. We had Sunday breakfast here last week. It was around 11:00 so when we arrived it was not at all crowded. The hostess was nice, and our server, Benny, was one of the best servers we have ever had. There were four of us. Two of us ordered the California Benedict, one ordered the Traditional Breakfast, and lastly one ordered the Country Fried steak. All of the food was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly, however, when brought to the table everything was almost cold. The Country fried steak was ordered with breakfast potatoes but was served with tots in error. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. We asked if they had gluten free bread and were told they do, however, after ordering we were told they were out of it. The coffee is excellent. We asked for half and half and were brought non dairy creamer instead and were told they were out and couldn't get more until they used up the non-dairy creamers. Again, not that big of a deal but worth mentioning. All in all a good experience but with a few hiccups. The place is clean and nicely decorated for Christmas at the moment with a fun "Grinch" theme. Prices are about average. Would dine here again to give it another chance to get everything right. read more

Excellent find for New Year's Day. Went to the beach to watch the sunrise and found this place open today for breakfast. I didn't take a pic because it was soooo good was their croissant beignet. Bland with just a couple of tablespoons of Hollandaise Sauce each. They remind me of my attempts to make eggs Benedict at home with grocery store bought ingredients. They need to get a better supplier. The grits were a definite improvement over the fried potatoes I had last time, but they were still just ok nothing rememberable. Poor value for price. Upcharged for credit card use and honey. Had discussed with waitress the need for 'real' sugar syrup and was told they offered honey, which was fine. They brought a very tiny amount (1/2 inch). When we requested more (for a Belgium waffle), was told we would be charged extra. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for shrimp and grits. I was genuinely impressed with the food, I couldn't stop eating--it was that good. However, I decided to try two mimosas, and it was clear they used low-quality champagne. As a result, I became quite sick, and my husband had to take care of me afterward. It was incredibly embarrassing since we had invited friends, and they also ended up feeling unwell. I strongly suggest that you reconsider your champagne brand, and check the menu, maybe was the doos, who knows. I will not return until I see a change reflected in the reviews. And btw, they only have good reviews in theirs website, it appears that they choose what reviews they will choose. I don't one anyone who get that sick like me and my guest did. read more

I can't complain about the service, except our waitress was clearly overwhelmed with complaints about the food and at one point seemed on the verge of tears. This lead to us deciding not to complain to her. The food was pretty terrible. We both got the southern breakfast which should be simple and difficult to mess up. Someone in the kitchen fancies themselves to be good at seasoning and they are wrong. The potatoes were undercooked and over seasoned to the point of being inedible. They had an overpowering garlic flavor (and I love garlic) and almost a liquid smoke flavor? They were not fully cooked though and kind of slimey--almost like they were boiled and not fried. Bacon was undercooked and the flavor was off putting. Eggs tasted like they out of a carton (as in, they didn't have to crack them). The biscuit was "ok." Definitely would not return or recommend. Also- they add a charge onto your bill if you use a card instead of cash. read more

This place is in a shopping center, so it doesn't have a view, but you can get breakfast or lunch all day, and both are delicious. We had a party of 4- two of us had omelets- one veggie and one custom- and the others had a burger and a BLT. All were delicious. I like that you can get tater tots or a green salad as a side for the breakfast. And the hot tea was actually hot, which made me happy! The service was excellent and quick.
