Not a place for dining in, but as a resident who grew up in West Lawn in the 1970-90s, and returned a few years ago, Cholie's has a solid pizza. We enjoy the crust prepared extra thin. We also have had the fried chicken dinner which can be a nice switch if you're not feeling pizza. read more

Pizza is OK. It was delicious before. But after seeing new faces at the establishment, the pizza has become very inconsistent. I went from going a few times a week for a slice or two to hardly ever going. Stopped by today early for a couple slices and still the inconsistency. Never had I had such a horrible customer service experience in my life. Ordered for delivery and I received the wrong food. When I called to fix my order the person who I spoke to(who ended up being the owner) was very defensive and condescending. All I wanted was for my order to be rectified. The guy continually yelled at me that it was what I ordered and I felt like hanging up. Instead I took the high road and thanked him and then proceeded to hang up. The way he spoke to me I was definitely afraid of getting spit in my food and the food was for four children under the age of 8. They should not have to eat food that way. I honestly don't care how great your food is, if your customer service is horrible I will not go back to your establishment. Needless to say I will not be giving these people my money and I will be going elsewhere. This is Chicago! There are pizza places all over. read more

I like this place, has a family owned vibe to it. So much so that my food was served on two different house plates and one styrofoam plate. Shrimp was good, pizza was good, and the people who work here are super polite and kind. I'd come back, this place is what is, it's not a four star restaurant it's a neighborhood pizza joint. Had a really disappointing experience here. I ordered pizza and had them repeat the order to me just so I know it's correct. It finally gets delivered an hour and a half later, turns out my order was wrong. We called the place just to see how we can get the correct order, especially since we waited such a long time. The lady talking on the phone to us started getting defensive out of no where and was saying insulting things in Spanish not knowing I can understand her. I ask to speak to a manager and he was way worse, he was saying we didn't speak clear enough for then to get the correct order when I made them repeat it so it's correct. We ordered for pick-up the other day, large pizza and hot wings. The price was reasonably good for our order. The pizza was good but I must admit that I was looking forward to the wings. So when we got home I opened the wings and drooled.... the wings were big and meaty but the ranch sauce was GROSS! It tasted like generic mayonnaise with green confetti in it. I've been eating at Cholie's for years now, and haven't had a problem with them. Their menu is quite larger and which truly makes them stand out from other pizza places. But most importantly their pizza is the best, it's probably one of the best pizzas around at an affordable price. It does take a bit of time for them to make the pizza but quality seems to always be their aim. read more

Unfortunately,, many of the local places in the neighborhood have yet to meet my standards for the perfect pie. Then someone recommended Cholie's and I tried it I ordered a large pizza half pepperoni half sausage mushroom and green pepper pepperoni on top and well-done. First off let me compliment them for getting the order right Pizza Nova seems to always have a problem getting that done, next it was only $20.80 including delivery and delivery was here within 35 minutes! It was well done not burnt, it was crispy not hard, and every bite was delicious if you're looking for a new place to order try them out you won't be disappointed I highly recommend them!! read more

HORRIBLE! Ordered food for some of my out of town friends and I knew right off the bat that I had made a mistake in ordering from this place. It took the driver 1 hour and 40 minutes to deliver a medium pizza and some wings. When the driver arrived, he blamed the girl taking the order, then when I called back to speak to "the girl taking the orders", she blamed the driver. So go figure, lol. It is true, you pay for what you get. Will never order from this place again. Never received compensation or an apology, just sucked, never again!!! This is usually our go-to, but sometimes they don't cook the pizza through. I rather wait a few minutes for a pizza that is actually fully cooked than a pizza that is well under cooked. Customer service is also usually pretty good. Definetly take advantage of their deals for better options . read more

My family and I have been ordering pizza from cholie's pizza for more than ten years. The food and customer service has progressively gotten worse! This past Saturday, my mother ordered a pizza, well done, crispy, per usual. The order was placed at 508pm and it arrived at 535pm, almost immediately we knew it wasn't going to be to our liking. The pizza was cold and the cheese was runny and definitely not well done. My mother called the establishment to see how this could be rectified to only get a girl on the line who literally said "oh. I don't know. I don't think the pizza was cold. All I do is answer the phones." So she passes the phone to a man who RAISES HIS VOICE AND Tells my mother that he cut the pizza and that it was crispy! Which it definitely was not! He proceeds to hang up the phone on my mom!!!! Like he's seriously lucky I did not drive to the establishment just for the way they treated my mother. We had to take an L. I personally stopped ordering from them over three years ago after another half cooked pizza made me ill.
