"Pepperoni" pizza with no toppings
David R.

This was some of the worst pizza I've ever had. We ordered two pizzas for delivery, one pepperoni and one mushroom. The pepperoni pie had zero pepperoni on it (even though we were charged) and the mushroom pie had a few small pieces of mushroom. The crust was nearly tasteless - like something you'd expect in a bad school cafeteria meal. Definitely not worth the price or the time.

Came in for a quick slice as I was in the neighborhood and was generally unimpressed. The place was spacious and empty when I came by, about 6:30. Pizza was almost cardboard-like and had a rubbery tasting cheese. Maybe I came in on a bad night, but I wasnt impressed. The garlic bread was okay, and the prices weren't bad for the area. Overall, not super impressed, but on a positive the guys working were nice and seemed to have fun, as they were singing to the music in the place.

My friend was visiting from out of town and only had two hours in between meetings to come say Hi! He wanted to try a bunch of "Chicago food" and there wasn't one spot that I could decide on, so instead I chose to check out Primos because their menu looked HUGE. This popular lunch spot had everything I was looking for: pizza, Italian Beef, and pasta. Sure it all sounds overkill on the carby side, but this was exactly what my friend wanted. Not only was their menu vast but their portions and offerings were just as large as well. Nearly all the items come with some soup to accompany your already heavy meal. We ordered everything I listed above and enjoyed two spinach-chowders as a side. The chowder was pretty salty so we barely touched it to be honest. However, the real mission were the pizzas and Italian beef sandwiches. The thin crust pizza was decent and the Italian beef was the clear winner of the two. It's not as good as Al's or Porto's but I feel you get a much bigger portion here at Primos. Oh, we didn't end there. We also ordered their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (yes we were crazy) which was toasted up in a tin tray. The piping hot pasta ended up being my favorite of the three main dishes that we ordered. In the future, I think I'll stick with either the pasta or the Italia beef. Overall, this is a great lunch spot if you're feeling indecisive and need a spot with plenty of options to choose from for affordable prices.

About a mile walking distance from the Amtrak station. I had a brief layover and decided to walk to grab a bite to eat before my next departure. I called ahead and placed my order. Once I arrived my pizza was being pulled out of the oven. Fresh hot and ready. Service was attentive. Slices are HUGE. You have the option to have it sliced in half (like a regular pizza) or in small squares. EPIC. Decent spot to grab a bite to eat.

A little gem in the west loop! If you are looking for an affordable place to eat while in the west loop, check them out. Great pizza, sandwiches and soup! My husband and I would come here often for lunch when he use to work in the west loop and the owners were always there working behind the counter. This was years ago, and I haven't seen them recently but very nice people. I recently came back when I was in the area and the food is still excellent! They have a great variety to choose from.

We tried Primo's for the first time tonight and we were quite disappointed. Delivery was fast and the pizza was hot; however, we cannot rate it more than 2 stars. The pizza would have been 3.5 to 4 stars if, and this is a big if, it had sauce. We still want to try the pasta, but we won't be back for the pizza. -B

Food it delicious! Fast and friendly service. Old Chicago. You can get pizza by the slide or whole. Delicious hot and cold subs. Don't miss out on this chicago gem

If I could leave less than one star i would. I ordered a salad with no green peppers for $9 and received about a whole pepper cut up and places throughout my salad made of iceberg lettuce and some sliced tomato. Then for the "Chicago pizza." Now I'm not from here I'm from Las Vegas. This tasted like the shitty gas station pizza we would get while I was wasted. I wouldn't spend my money at thIs place ever again. And extremely disappointed I did in the first place.

Terrible pizza, wrong salad, and no salad dressing. Just awful. Granted it was 11:30 pm so maybe the A team wasn't cooking the pizzas.

Small spot you could casually pick up food and walk to if you're around downtown. Lots of cheese and sauce with a beautiful baguette to remind you that this place makes pizza too. Dough, cheese, and sauce are what this place really excels in. It's no surprise that they do it well across the board. Out of the sandwiches I tried, the gardinera pairs the best with the Drunken Chicken sandwich. I'm unsure if my hunger pangs were amplifying my experience, but this sandwich was something of legends... The ingredients combo into something a little too unfair to not be distributed to the rest of America. The food really feels special when you have it late night after a really long day of fun. The people are casual and nice and didn't make it awkward to eat there even though the place itself is quite small. Considering cops came in to order here out of all the places around, I can see how anyone could make this their staple spot.

It is shareable and hearty. The bread is so good. It's crusty and soft on the inside. It allows the right amount of sauce to soak in without being a giant mess. I don't consider it a save half and eat later sandwich though. In my experience it loses a bit of structure if not eaten right away. I have had the turkey, tuna, and meatball sandwich as well. All good and able to split into 2 meals and they save well. As mentioned, this spot is on repeat for me and haven't disliked anything. The pizza is ok but I wouldn't choose it as my pizza spot. There are better but if you are in a pinch a single slice option is nice. I enjoy the little Tiramisu cup. Perfect size. If you normally scroll by and wonder if you should try Nonna's go ahead. It's a good option.

My friends and I just want to enjoy our Chicago summer and decided to go to the beach so naturally my mind went to sandwiches and immediately thought "this is my opportunity to go to JP Graziano" Ordered the Italian and the Mr. G and it was seriously the perfect beach sandwich. Me and my sister split each one to try and genuinely the Mr G is something ive never had before in a sandwich and it was amazing. The Italian is also delicious and is giving your classic Italian sub sandwich. But the Mr. G is what Im ordering again! I heard the bread is supplied by Damatos Bakery so thats definitely a plus! The atmosphere inside is so cool. It is very Italian/chicago vibes. Long line but it goes by very quickly. The staff there is working hard and fast and the owner himself is very nice. Definitely worth a trip for the sandwich. Id like to try their cannolis next time!

I decided to cross over & check out this old world Italian Deli. Conti Di Savoia is small Italian grocery store w/an Italian deli that has w/outstanding & inexpensive sandwiches. When I went in there was a line of people waiting @ the deli counter waiting to place their order. I must have looked confused because the owner directed me & told the line started on the other side towards the back of the store. What I found was an awesome of fresh handmade sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I ordered an 8" pastrami w/mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onions, mayo, & Italian oil drizzled. What I got was an awesome inexpensive sandwich loaded with/fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. After I got my sandwich the owner (I introduced myself (I think his name was Mike) rang up the sandwich. He said they have been there for 35 years. There's also a small dining area in the front of the store where I sat & devoured my sandwich. Like I said this is small Italian store w/a nice selection of products like meats, cheeses, pastas, wine, olive & deli items. I throughly enjoyed finding Conte Di Savoia. The pastrami sandwich was awesome w/a generous portion of pastrami & toppings for a reasonable price. I'm the type of person who who loves finding new places to eat. Most times unless I find great food & reasonable prices I won't go back but I feel like I found a real gem W/Conti Di Savoia. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.
