    Corned beef sandwich
    Amber G.

PJ was our server and he was amazing. Very attentive and fast. Got the corned beef sandwich which was delicious with a side of coleslaw. I'm not even a coleslaw gal and I thought it was good. Ranch is good. Fries were delicious. I got the chicken parm sandwich.

Excellent omelette today. It was a well done Greek omelette with potatoes and a bagel. The veggie cream cheese here c is hood and the greek omelette was well cooked and loaded with feta.

You'll find Chompie's in the Mercado del Rancho plaza. Staff are the nicest and most helpful people. I got a few Florentine cookies to go. Their desserts are delicious and they have many to offer. I thought about a knish but I resisted this time. I just made potatoes at home and they will fulfill me. If you've never had a knish, they are typically filled with mashed potatoes with a light dough around them. They are either baked or fried. I like the baked ones. You can find knishes with potatoes and spinach, or with broccoli or sometimes with a meat but rarely. In any event, they are very filling. I usually eat about 1/4-1/2 of a knish. Put a bit of mustard on it and yum yum. Shared parking lot.

Sooo good!!! Great menu too, full of amazing breakfast classics, bagel sandwiches, lunch, and home cooked meals. I knew I had to stop by when I found out they have gluten free bagels. They were sturdy, filling, and tasty. It did not crumble or become soggy. The portions are quite large and greatly priced. My Scottsdale stacked GF bagel sandwich was so tasty and packed with flavor. They have a ton of seating and are good for large parties. We came on Christmas and it was quite busy, but service was prompt and friendly!

Food was great. Restaurant was very neat, clean and welcoming. Service was really good, from the moment we were seated to the moment we checked out we had great & friendly service. We really enjoyed trying this place. Sandwiches are delicious!

These people are the rudest, slowest, and most inconsiderate staff. I'm sitting outside waiting as my wife orders food and paying for overpriced bagels and cream cheese. There is one couple outside and 7+ free tables. Apparently I sat in the wrong section where they serve. There is no one here. So I had to move to the other side and wait. The rudeness and the tone and the attitude I got for sitting in the "wrong" seat was insane. They also charge for everything. You want your bagel sliced, charge (by a machine they don't do any work), you want it toasted, charge. To wait in line you have to navigate through all these people because they put junk on every side of the entryway. I've been here enough to know I'm good I'll be fine never coming back.

I have to be honest, it appears to me that with the exception of a handful of delis in the Valley of the Sun, Chompie's is one of the few so-called Delis that bring me back to my early years in Brooklyn! They offer such goodies as: Belly Lox; Salmon; Whitefish; Herring in different styles; Cod; Pastrami; Beef Brisket; and especially good Pastrami and much, much more reminiscent of the good old days! I must say, very few joints in the Valley can make really good matzo ball soup - this is one of them. So is the Reuben for that matter! The variety of selections on their menu is unprecedented, and one can eat here for a long, long time without repeating a dish. We'll be back soon... Genieße dein Essen!

Nick and Kelly are so warm Anna attentive in service and the good my last two visits was perfect! Bagels perfectly prepared! Love the side of salmon lock with onion biali! One ounce side of salmon lox was perfectly portioned! i added the side of tomatoes, onions and capers and it was so perfect! I'll definitely be getting this again...I'll probably just go with the bagel next time for less crunch, more tender bread. The only wish would be that they add an espresso machine for iced espresso options :) The host is always is always so welcoming and it was so nice to see Mojo's friendly face. And love the Sunday samples and treats they put out to try! Just a great vibe all around!

    Western Sliders

Another stop at Chompie's after a medical appointment. I arrived at 11:15 on a Tuesday morning and there were only a handful of full tables. More patrons arrived as I ate. I ordered two Western BBQ Sliders with coleslaw and it came to $15.63 plus tip. My meal came out in about 8 mins. It came with two buttery, warm buns, lots of BBQ beef oozing with BBQ sauce, some grilled onions, some fried onion rings and a thick slice of melted cheddar. There was also a side of BBQ sauce, along with my large helping of slaw. I dove right in and was met with the sweet sauce, tangy cheddar and rich beef. It was just what I wanted in a slider. The slaw was just as good, with a mayo based sauce. I prefer the vinegar based slaw myself but this version was exceptional. The service was spot on. I was greeted cheerfully at the hostess stand and my waiter was attentive. The manager checked in on me a couple of times as well. I'll be back to Chompie's if I'm ever in the area again.

Stars are gonna light up a midnight sky.. The sun's gonna burn on the fourth of July.. Tides are gonna turn with the pull of the moon.. Birds'll fly south when the Winter comes.. And I'm gonna love you.. As we loved Chompies.. We shared "Pastrami" so like NY good w. "Latkes", a little too thick but, quite tasty, Melt in your mouth "Brisket Sliders" on Challah bread w. crunchy good "Cole Slaw"... Washed down w. a Glass of "Cranberry Juice" by the Lass and a "Cup O Joe" by the Lad. This was a NY minute good time, for these.. Baby Boomers..:) Time's gonna put a few lines on our face.. We can cover it up but hair's gonna grey.. Life's gonna fly and be gone too soon.. And I'm gonna love you Baby, I'm gonna love you.. As we did Chompies..:) Best, Avram Rugelach Jr.

Goldman's Deli Where Your Soul and Your Stomach Both Get Hugged…read more If comfort food had a headquarters, it might very well be Goldman's Deli. Walk through the door and suddenly you're not just hungry you're home. The smells alone could make a grown person misty-eyed. Now let's talk about the pastrami. Lean, tender, and stacked so generously you start wondering if the sandwich needs its own zip code. One bite and you understand why people keep coming back. Two bites and you're already planning your next visit. The soups? Forget therapy have a bowl. Rich, comforting, and restorative. The kind of soup that makes you feel like somewhere in the kitchen a grandmother is quietly nodding with approval. And then there's the gefilte fish. Not the ordinary, polite little slice. This one is special delicate, flavorful, and downright magnificent. Even people who say, "Eh... I'm not sure about gefilte fish," suddenly become believers. There's a little schmaltz, a lot of love, and the unmistakable magic of real Jewish deli cooking. Eat there, take some home, and tell your friends because food this good shouldn't be kept a secret. You might arrive hungry, but you'll leave smiling, a little fuller, and possibly needing a short nap which is the highest compliment a deli can receive. And as they say with a wink and a warm heart: "Zei gezunt, un es gezunterheit eat in good health!" Or in plain deli English: "May you always be healthy... and may your sandwich always be this good." So I trecked 5 miles out of my way to Goldman's (when Chompie's was just a mile away --frankly I don't know why I didn't think about chompies) I ordered the chopped chicken liver appetizer which comes with slices of tomato, a piece of lettuce, slice of red onion, and challah bread. I paid $15.01 for this platter (lol) without a tip for a small scoop of the liver. Just look at the photo. I was shocked to see how small it was. I thought that with a base price of $13.99 that the scoop would be bigger or at least the same size as in the past when it was $9.99. The challah bread was yellow but did not take like challah. Yellow bread slices do not delicious challah bread make--no yeasty flavor as any good challah would have. So here I am regretting that I didn't give chompie's a try. I can assure you that I will not be returning to Goldman's. I know ingredients have gone up but this price for such a small scoop is an affront to the wallet.

I absolutely love finding places like Casella's. This is what a true family business is all about…read more Casella's has been here since 1977, started by Joe and Tina Casella, and 49 years later their daughter Denise is still carrying on what her family built. I happened to show up about 30 minutes before they opened after finding the place online. Denise saw me poking around outside and actually let me in early, and I'm really glad she did. I ordered the cold cut trio, which was fantastic, but the experience became so much more than just grabbing a sandwich. Denise started giving me tastes of some of the things they make in-house while I was putting together food to take with me. The chicken salad was incredible, the pickled vegetables were excellent, and everything had that homemade quality you just don't find very often anymore. What really makes this place special, though, is the story and the people behind it. Denise has basically grown up in this deli, and you can feel nearly five decades of family history the minute you walk through the door. Nothing corporate about it -- just a great old-school neighborhood deli, great food, and a family that genuinely cares about what they're doing. Places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. Five stars all day. Highly, highly recommend Casella's. And if you get the chance to meet Denise, even better.

With nearly 50 years in business, I really wanted to experience this family-run establishment -- and it didn't disappoint. Denise Casella, the current owner, was a pleasure to talk with, sharing stories and her parents' vision for the deli. You could feel the history in the room, especially watching longtime customers come in -- some who have been visiting for over 20 years. Tried the cheesesteak -- simple and satisfying, and very much in line with the deli's old-school charm. Overall, a great spot to step into a piece of local history and absolutely worth a visit. A very authentic surrounding that makes you smile. I ordered the porketta sandwich with small salad, side of giardiniera, and a side of homemade bread with olive oil. The roll was ethereal with a delicious taste, not overly crispy, savory and nicely shaved porketta meat. The added giardiniera was a slap in the face to your taste buds, perfect! The green leaf salad was lightly seasoned, not overly dressed and simple, but uncious. The only issue was the homemade slices of Italian bread and olive oil. I could not stop dunking and eating.
