You are able to choose from salads on the menu, such as the Kale Chop or the Mexico Chop. If you want a salad specifically catered to your taste buds, go with the "make your own" method. You choose a base lettuce and then add veggies, meats, nuts, fruits cheeses and dressing. All of the ingredients are then finely shopped up and given to you in a bowl. I love the finely chopped aspect because I often get annoyed when I have to try and fit a huge piece of lettuce in my mouth without getting dressing all over my face. Well I didn't even get a chance to eat here due to possibly the franchise owner. They only scheduled 2 people to work, one in the back I was told is doing prep while the other is in the front doing Uber eats orders. I waited for 10 mins watching this woman complete orders. Not one hello, welcome, or how can I help you. I had to ask, "is there anyone that can help me?" The answer I got was "not at this moment because I have to finish these orders" I don't blame her but yet I split the blame on the employee and owner. The employee should take care of clients who are there at the moment or else they will leave for options like I did. Or take care of order faster and between orders. Meaning taking my order and getting back to making orders. At the very least acknowledge me while I'm waiting or apologize for the wait. I usually love this place. Our favorite is the viva Mexico. It's always such a treat. Unfortunately, I just had a pretty terrible customer service experience at your Encino Location on Ventura. We tried to call in an order for pick up and I was on hold for 10 minutes. I called back and was told that they were extremely busy and I would need to wait a few more minutes. After a few minutes I had already arrived at the store where I found no other customers. When I mentioned I had been on hold I was responded to very rudely and given no response. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and I'm normally very patient and always willing to wait my turn. However, this was clearly someone just not wanting to do their job. Chop Stop is a perfectly light but filling lunch while on the go. Staff here was nice and very fast in making my salad, place is bright and clean. They do have a few tables to dine in, but it is packed perfectly to go and eats well at a desk or anywhere really. I love how all the ingredients are chopped so you get a bite of everything every time. I created my own with tuna as a protein and loved it, also appreciate that they have the tuna available fresh and not premixed with mayo. Long time customer here. Always fresh, always quick, always customized - the hardest part is deciding which toppings you want out of the bazillion ones they offer. I appreciate that they let you choose by category and gives you a number of toppings per category (cheese, proteins, vegetables/fruits, etc) for free and then you can choose to add more for a small cost per topping. This is my favorite Chop Stop. It's not to far from Lake Balboa Park and it's always great to have a good salad after a long walk. I always pick my own salad with spinach and kale as my greens with barbecue chicken, black beans, cabbage, dried cranberries, broccoli, crispy onions lightly tossed in creamy chipotle and a side of balsamic. Been here three times. First off this is a better alternative than having burgers and fast food and such. But... Last time I ordered a Santa Fe Chop. It has avocado. Saw the girl who made the salad (Nathalie, I think) squeezed a half avocado on the bottom of the bowl (didn't even bother slicing or chopping it) and added the other ingredients over it. So I wound up with a salad and a yucky mushy mess on the bottom of the bowl. :/ Also tried the Chop Stop Classic. Didn't much care for garbanzos and only ate half. I would suggest just building your own bowl with ingredients you like and like some reviewer here said it winds up cheaper! I made my own spinach salad once and so far if I decide to go back here that's what I'll order. No unchopped squeezed avocado this time! Yuck read more

It was my roommates first time here and the woman working at the counter was super sweet and explained the menu to her. The simple things are everything. This is my second time at this location. Different crew than my last visit and still great customer service and patience while you order. I like how they make sure to ask if it's the first time you have ever been there. The salad is always great. The dressings are very tasty. I like the pretzel with no salt. It's what you make it or you can chose from their salad combo ideas. Now don't laugh at me but they chop it so well I use a spoon to eat it. What? I can eat it faster that way. I stopped in during lunch as the chop classic salad is a pretty decent quick healthy lunch and I saw the new "chopuritto" (btw what an awful name for this vertical). And because I love a good bowl I gave it a try. This was terrible! I ate there and opened up the salad and saw a plastic bag with tortilla strips "nestled" in and a plastic tray of bad canned salsa. How unappetizing is that. Healthy grain bowls are a nice trend. Not sure who thought that a customer would dollop the canned salsa on top of bad lettuce and canned beans and find this satisfying. How did the classic chop get translated to a poorly executed "Mexican" bowl? Plus I was charged a $1.00 more than what is displayed on the menu board as they "have not updated the board yet".
