    The salad all mixed up
    Sharon R.

My first time in just to try it out. Got a Sante Fe Salad and it was fresh and good. This spot gives you another choice rather than burgers and it is far better than most burger joints. My real issue is the price of $15 plus the tip is on top of that. I can get a nice big salad at most restaurants for around $17 plus tip. I have eaten salads at many walk-in and sit-down restaurants with more toppings. BUT I must say, if you need fast food, quick to take home, this healthy spot would work for that. The place is quite small and only one restroom for men and women. I think most people take the food home to eat. The two people before me spent about $45 plus tip for two salads and drinks and ate there. I think if you are going to build your own salad it is best to look at the choices before you go in. I did not have time to go through the list of toppings and just a bit hard to read quickly. The location is really good for me being in South Reno. Plus I had friendly service. I feel everyone should try it once and if you find a craving for a fast salad, this is the place to go.

Food was delicious, service was quick and friendly:) will definitely be coming back soon

This is the first time I've tried the salad at Chop Shop; wow, the bowl was massive and veggies looked fresh. We ordered a junior Cobb salad and it was pretty filling, every ingredient harmoniously blended together in a symphony of taste and texture. I really adored the tiny croutons, just the right amount of boiled egg and cheese with vegetables. I like their ranch dressing but I wish I got more (I'm a dressing girl; calories be damned!). Seriously, this was a great meal for a hot summer day; it was refreshing and light. I can't wait to give their other salads a try.

I popped by here after an appointment I had in south Reno. I ordered a Cobb Chop to go. Quick service and the salad appeared to be good quality. The calories listed on the boards are with dressing or without dressing. Small section of chips and snacks as well as fountain drinks and a selection of canned beverages.

    Delicious salmon chop salad!

Delicious salmon chop . Love it that they Donate a free mal to help the hungry, when I buy a meal! No extra cost to me

Ordered the Vegan Choppuritto..... I'm in love lol, I love everything about this bowl. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. My favorite out of the entire bowl is the Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette OMG! I need to go in and order a bottle of this stuff. It's amazing I've never had anything like it before. I ordered through DD, I can only imagine what it's like when you go in a sit down. Chop Stop has gained a lifetime customer.

This is a great alternative to fast food and eating clean food out on the go. There are preset menu options and you can build your own salad or wrap too. It is a little expensive for what you get $18 salad but at least it's healthy and quick to pick up. I like that ordering online is an option too. Overall it's a good option for a healthy meal on the go or in a hurry!

Build your own warm bowl turned into a wrap

Tried out the Chop Stop today after recieving a coupon at the Divas Day Out last month. I decided to have my salad wrapped in a tortilla and grilled. I did the build your own warm bowl. It was cilantro lime rice, romaine lettuce, purple onion, black olives, roasted corn salsa, fresh jalopenos, tomatoes and cucumber. I opted for no protein this try. I wanted to see the freshness of all the veggies. They were all very good. I got a side of Chipotle ranch and a side of dill goddess. This is why I gave 4 stars. After sitting down to eat, I didn't receive the Chipotle ranch, so off to the counter I go and wait behind a customer to get my sauce. What was supposed to be the dill goddess was actually blue cheese. So I had to get back up again and wait behind customers to get this one fixed as well. Now the cashier was the sweetest as she met us at DDO and was the one that passed out the coupons to us. Very sweet to say the least. The restaurant itself was very clean. It was really busy with dining and drive thru. Orders did come out quick, And once I got the dip situations fixed, it was very good. I'll be back to try other base ingredients and add ins.

The soup said on the menu it came with homemade croutons but instead it came with generic saltine crackers. Also it was made with red onion instead of yellow onion which was a ... choice. The burger, however, was perfect. The flavors were good, it was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. Our waitress was great. We absolutely loved her. Even though she was the only waitress there she was on her game. She was honest and professional and really had a great personality. Food came out in a timely fashion. The cocktails were delicious. I will say that I didn't see celery or apples, and I only saw one piece of red onion, but perhaps those things are minced very finely (or incorporated in the salad some other way?). Either way, I have no idea how such a simple looking salad tasted so complex but it was fantastic and I highly recommend ordering it. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak with some sort of French-fry. He enjoyed it but mentioned that he was surprised a place named "The CHEESE Board" had such a light layer of cheese sauce in their Philly cheesesteak sandwich. (He said he wished there was more.) The place was packed but the food was out fairly quickly considering. I will say that I wished the seating felt more spacious, inviting, and comfortable. With a full restaurant and tables so close it wasn't the most relaxing environment to dine in (a bit cafeteria like) but they are limited on dinning space it seems. I did see that they had a kids menu. A child at the table next to us got the $10 plate that included thinly sliced green apple, crackers, cheese, and a meat (salami perhaps?); the portion seemed reasonable for the price and was certainly more than one gets in a Lunchable so I made a mental note that I could see my kids finding something to enjoy here. Overall, fresh food and clean pleasant ambiance. I'm looking forward to returning as well as keeping this place in mind for a visit when I'm hosting guests from out of town that prefer salads and/or more "frou-frou" food.

It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.
