    Soba noodle salad (to go)
    Jessica F.

Back again for my favorite soba noodle salad, it is the perfect combination of freshness, peanut crunch, and amazing sauce. It feels both light and incredibly filling and substantial at the same time. Yet again paired it with the chicken tinga tacos. Also some chips with green salsa and bean dip- the green salsa was SO GOOD! Our waitstaff was incredibly helpful and brought everything out super fast when we mentioned we had a time crunch. Love coming to Great Full Gardens each and every time!

I usually go for lunch and love the variety of healthy options as well as the glow girl mimosa. I went with my daughter the other day for breakfast. I've heard the waffles were good and it did deliver. I didn't realized that she had ordered one that had ice cream on it. Definitely rich, but also super satisfying with the caramel and chocolate drizzle and almond slices. The ahi on the eggs Benedict was seared and crispy making it a great addition. The eggs are over easy, which is fine. My preference would be to have the eggs poached. The potatoes had a nice crisp to them making it flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and really on everything. I think everyone is always really friendly. The location is always clean and the art work that you can purchase is a nice touch. I would say the ambiance is a little cafeteria style so great for breakfast and lunch, but while I like the happy hour, I am more drawn to the Legends location for the outdoor seating at that time in warm months.

First done-in experience with Great Full. Vatapa A rich Brazilian stew with African infuences. You can choose your own protein between shrimp + cod, chicken or tofu. Coconut milk, cashew butter, tomatoes, jalapeño, This was such a unique dish that I recommend anyone to try - although I'm not sure I would order it again. The seafood broth is undeniable. I'm having a hard time, however, defining the exact texture of this dish. There's rice and other grain or bready ingredient but I'm just not sure it worked - almost a mushy soft-rice type of consistency that got mushier as the the broth absorbed over time. Mushrooms latte - like a savory mug of hot chocolate. Not sure how these qualify as energy boosting drinks. That's all

Anything and everything here is amazing - if you're looking for a salty and savory treat don't skimp on the Bedazzle Liege waffle with bacon, cheese, and egg. I don't put the syrup on it. It's one of a kind, portioned right, and you won't want to share, so order two ;)

I met one of my dearest oldest friends for a late birthday brunch. I'm no stranger to Great full gardens, but I usually frequent Sparks since I live closer to that location. I always order one of their superfood lattes to start and was bummed that my grilled cheese was bland and missing something. They skimped on the cheese and over toasted my sourdough. Their potatoes here are my favorite! My friend ordered their tuna melt and had no complaints about it. We didn't have room for dessert, but I offered. Our server was phenomenal! He was busy and there was a line waiting to get in, but he didn't neglect us. My friend enjoyed her birthday brunch, so that's all that mattered to me. I was digging for my receipt to recover my server's name, but no luck. As busy as they were on this day, they still provided great service from the door until we left. Thank you all! We'll see you again.

I ordered the poke bowl it was yummy, a few of the poke pieces were chewy. I didn't really care for the sauce, could be partly as I am not a fan of mayo. Great location and clean restaurant. The decor is nice and I love to look at all the artwork inside. The service is great, very friendly.

I'm never disappointed when I come here. Tonight I had the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Chicken Tinga Tacos. The service here is also consistantly great and tonight was no exception. They do have some Fall specials I would like to come back and try.

I love this place for breakfast or lunch. Th food is fresh, local when available and delicious. The service is always proficient, professional and personable. The ambiance is family friendly, colorful and comfortable. There are other options in different parts of town so you know this is a popular restaurant. I love bringing guests from out of town here to try something terrific!

This is my favorite location of this place! Had a great breakfast before some holiday shopping. Their specials on their holiday menu looked amazing. The red velvet maca (non-caffeinated coffee like drink) was perfect!! Get the huevos pupusas, they are my absolute favorite!

    Vatapa, yes please
    Tara S S.

Vatapa ROCKS! I had never heard of this dish before and so I thought I would try it for lunch. It was awesome light curry flavor with a little kick of heat. And I got to choose whether I wanted seafood, chicken, or tofu in it. It's evidently a Brazilian dish. A Brazilian more times. Super happy because I have enough for dinner too. Have to cut this short cause I need to go walk it off.

I went to the South Reno location for Brunch on Sunday with friends and ordered the warm kale salad with 2 eggs over medium. It is one of my favorite salads in Reno. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun and lively. I really appreciate the variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu as well.

The tortilla chips were house-made, the brisket was quite flavorful and tender - it all came together perfectly with the sauce, crema, egg, avocado and cilantro. We both ordered the spicy margarita, which was excellent. Not too strong and with a nice kick. We arrived around 1pm and sat next to a wood burning fireplace. Talk about feeling spoiled with the whole place to ourselves! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We knew they had just hired a new chef and he has been working hard on a new menu that will rollout very soon. Apparently, he has offered several specials over the past few weeks as an "introduction" to his culinary talents and all have been well-received. We look forward to returning when the new menu is fully integrated. The whole restaurant/bar/club is beautifully decorated and feels very upscale, but not pretentious. From the times I've been here, I've gone with a co-worker and my sister and we usually pick each item from the set menu to experience both the dishes. Everything was delicious and the drinks were great. The server and bussers were also attentive and nice.

How's that for an opening. We went to Bistro 7 to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at 5pm, wanting an early dinner. The place was basically empty, with only a couple of other tables occupied. After perusing the menu, orders were placed for both appetizers and mains. The appetizers arrived pretty quickly. I must say the calamari was pretty good, nice batter and the pieces were pretty big. We ordered the tempura green beans. Not my jam. The batter was soggy and the green beans had a waxy taste to them. Not for me. After the appetizers we waited for our mains....and waited.....and waited. We were finally served our main courses, probably 45-50 minutes after we arrived. Remember the restaurant was basically empty. I ordered the Ribeye. There was nothing wrong with my order, my meal was fine but not worth the $47 asking price. The steak was way to thin for a proper Ribeye. My friend ordered the Steak Sandwich. He said that his sandwich was more tendon and gristle than steak. Very unfortunate. Another friend ordered the fish taco's. Completely devoid of any flavor and clearly not worth the price. One of our friends ordered a simple burger but wanted it well done. The first burger was served a very rare. It was sent back. She did not receive her second burger until well over an hour after we first arrived. Everyone was literally done with our meals, before her corrected burger arrived. In fairness, the manager did come over and apologized and did removed the charge for the burger but does it really take so long to correct an order for a burger ? Like I said the wait staff were friendly and were working hard but based on the quality of the food coming out to the kitchen, not to mention the absolutely unacceptable time before our food was delivered, there are FAR better options in Reno.

Quality/Quantity - It was great that we all chose different dishes!! Better for my Yelp pictures, lol. A simple menu done well. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Today we got the following: Complimentary Bread - Cheddar jalapeno bread, ONE per person. We almost had to fight each other for this, lol. Pork Bun Appetizer - Wow, these were HUGE! For us light eaters, this could have been a meal?!?! Octopus - 4 couples shared two orders. Actually, we all shared our appetizers. The octopus was so tender. I would have preferred more of an outer layer crisp...? Lightly higher fire to char the outer skin...? Short Ribs - What?!?! My wife craved this...? Normally she would get the fish. The flavors were good, but there were a few pieces that she could not eat... Ribeye, Shoestring Fries & my Pinot and Cabernet - My usual order. Cooked well, except in my opinion, it had excess butter. Most people would probably enjoy that, lol. The shoestring fries were PERFECT, I shared with the table. Salmon - Normally my wife's dish. This was also cooked perfectly and plated perfectly. See pictures. Halibut - Good. My buddy usually gets a steak, this was our second dinner that he ordered more healthy?!?! What is happening? He is actually the biggest eater in the group, I hope he did not leave hungry. He did not even order dessert and he used to always have room for dessert?!?! Duck - Wow, I was jealous when I saw this come out! I actually thought my friend ordered a pork loin as this duck breast was so huge! If you are following, I have been having some amazing ducks on my last SF, CA trips!! I will/may get this next time. Scallop - This looked good. I am sure it was, but this guest just sat too far away from me to question, lol. Dessert - Chocolate Yummy, I was told it was yummy, lol. My wife and I did not have room for more food. Plus, I was still enjoying my wine. And to wash it all down, a glass of Pinot and a glass of Cabernet. Ambiance - 25+ years, and the place still looks the same, great job. Even the orange exterior paint job holds up! Open kitchen. Our favorite concepts! Nice bar area, small dining area, semi private dining for a few tables in the rear of the building, and lastly outdoor dining. See pictures. Small parking lot in the rear (as per my wife), but plenty of free 2 hour street parking. Only open 3 days a week for dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Call to confirm days and hours, good luck. Interesting enough for a Saturday evening, the restaurant was only half full?!?! Service - Not sure when the last time we have been here, we have been working on the last year trying to get reservations. No website, not on Open Table, Tock, Yelp reservations, etc... My wife finally left a message and 4 days later you called her back to confirm, thank you. The front of the house was welcoming. Got here a few minutes early and she and he sat us down immediately. The "bus boy" was good, got us water, ice, etc. The waiter was okay, not good or bad. Good to see that the restaurant was fully staffed, I was worried about the major reduction in days and hours. We stayed 3 hours, and never felt rushed to leave. As the last guests were leaving, we got our que, lol. So good to enjoy a great meal with good friends. Price - $530 + tip. Expensive, but worth it. Nice treat, especially for our friends. Wow, it's been a long time since I have seen a hand written check. And for a party of 6, no automatic tip?!?! Thank you. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for the last 25+ years. And the success of your other restaurant Kauboi Izakaya (2016) a few blocks north of here. The ambiance was a bit weird for me, a bunch of servers just standing around by the kitchen and the music just didn't match the vibes. Which is fine, just a personal opinion, since this is supposed to be considered "fine dining". The lamb was okay, it didn't quite have a sear on it, and I'm pretty sure it was missing a sauce or chimichurri because it was pretty bland. The fries were the best tasting thing we ordered. The complimentary bread was very dry and so salty. The biggest let down was the service. When we asked for our food to be packaged to go, the server started cleaning up our table, and he stacked our dirty plates onto our plates with food on it. Then he continued to pick up fries that had fallen onto our table, and put it with our leftover food. (I did not want dirty fries in my leftover box, but sure enough it was packaged in there). Also, the server ended up picking up a dirty fry that fell on the floor, and put it on our plates with our to go food! Completely unsanitary in my opinion and just not a good image, to be stacking dirty plates on my to go food, and also dirty food from the floor, on my plate with my food? Disgusting. When you pay this much money, you expect real fine dining. I wasn't impressed with anything, and service was a huge let down for a "fancy restaurant".

There are many ways a manager could do this, and yes, we have been there for a little over two hours, enjoying our time, the service was slow, in a way that encouraged taking your time...a fine dining experience, which generally you would think would be unrushed. The manager came over was extremely unkind and rude in his tone and request. He told me, without provocation, didn't care if we gave him a bad review. And two hours was long enough for dinner. We all walked out in silence, aghast at his terrible manners and words. All that to say, diner beware. This man undid a wonderful evening with a few sharp words and extremely awful service and poor manners. Realizing that had he said it nicely, we would've popped right up. We were already ready to go. And that treating your customers -who just spent a few hundred dollars with you - with respect and warmth versus treating them with contempt and rudeness. We will not be back. Not that he cares, but if you're looking for a place to have a leisurely fine meal over the course of a couple hours, this isn't it.
