My friend had Juli's Breakfast Sauté, and I had the Vegan Hash (we both added eggs). We also had the Aztec D'Oro and the Luscious Latte. Everything was mouthwateringly delicious and we both found new favorite breakfast items. Service was super friendly and attentive. And the restaurant is bright, open and welcoming. 2/10 So this was 1st time here. Always wanted to go so we did. Came for dinner . We were greeted immediately and sat . Elijah was our server and was fantastic. We looked at menu and ordered pretty quick . Got an Ahi appetizer . Was really good and seared just right amount with a good wasabi sauce . I had the Battle born Burger with bacon and an egg. Was massive ( see pic ) and cup of tomato soup. Was good and big chunks of tomato. Forgot what wifey got but she enjoyed as well . Holy frijoles! Service was excellent and food equally so. I work as a private chef (on the side) and I'm naturally tuned into macro and micro details... Restaurant was very clean and bright... Staff was super kind and genuine about making sure it was a positive experience... Food was fresh and tasty, with attention to detail. I had the Avocado Toast - which was a very generous portion; I had two pieces and still had plenty of leftovers to take to a fellow chef friend as she was homebound from surgery... even had enough leftovers for her son, too. While the cost of dining out continues to climb, here you know you're going to get a high quality meal made with impeccably sourced ingredients, served with a big smile by someone who genuinely cares about you as a guest. I usually go for lunch and love the variety of healthy options as well as the glow girl mimosa. I went with my daughter the other day for breakfast. I've heard the waffles were good and it did deliver. I didn't realized that she had ordered one that had ice cream on it. Definitely rich, but also super satisfying with the caramel and chocolate drizzle and almond slices. The ahi on the eggs Benedict was seared and crispy making it a great addition. The eggs are over easy, which is fine. My preference would be to have the eggs poached. The potatoes had a nice crisp to them making it flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and really on everything. I think everyone is always really friendly. The location is always clean and the art work that you can purchase is a nice touch. I would say the ambiance is a little cafeteria style so great for breakfast and lunch, but while I like the happy hour, I am more drawn to the Legends location for the outdoor seating at that time in warm months. read more

First done-in experience with Great Full. Vatapa A rich Brazilian stew with African infuences. You can choose your own protein between shrimp + cod, chicken or tofu. Coconut milk, cashew butter, tomatoes, jalapeño, This was such a unique dish that I recommend anyone to try - although I'm not sure I would order it again. The seafood broth is undeniable. I'm having a hard time, however, defining the exact texture of this dish. There's rice and other grain or bready ingredient but I'm just not sure it worked - almost a mushy soft-rice type of consistency that got mushier as the the broth absorbed over time. I met one of my dearest oldest friends for a late birthday brunch. I'm no stranger to Great full gardens, but I usually frequent Sparks since I live closer to that location. I always order one of their superfood lattes to start and was bummed that my grilled cheese was bland and missing something. They skimped on the cheese and over toasted my sourdough. Their potatoes here are my favorite! My friend ordered their tuna melt and had no complaints about it. We didn't have room for dessert, but I offered. Our server was phenomenal! He was busy and there was a line waiting to get in, but he didn't neglect us. My friend enjoyed her birthday brunch, so that's all that mattered to me. I was digging for my receipt to recover my server's name, but no luck. As busy as they were on this day, they still provided great service from the door until we left. Thank you all! I love this location! Much easier parking than midtown. Food is consistently delightful and I eat here probably once a month. Prices feel very high but I love it so I keep coming back. Service can be hit or miss but the staff is always nice. When busy, the dining room can be quite loud as it's one open space. There are a few tables outside to enjoy the weather when it's nice, though make sure you're not in shorts as the metal will imprint in your skin. Straightforward, wholesome food that tastes like you could have made it...if you were an excellent cook. You get straightforward meals like the Teriyaki Bowl. It has so many veggies, and the pineapple rings on top are the best. It's the kind of thing you'd make after a farmer's market forage, and the quality of the ingredients is clear. The Stuffed Shrooms are not something I would normally make because it's so difficult to make good portabella mushrooms well, but they succeed. It's a great mix of veggies, cheese, and meat-sub crumble. They also make the most legit Grilled Cheese I've ever had anywhere. Hot, fluffy, sourdough bun-bread makes a 4-cheese hoagie, perfectly toasted, spread with a rich aioli. Grilled cheese is usually something you get for your kids, but this one is fully adult. I really like this place. Great-tasted everyday food made with fantastic ingredients so everything tastes like a farmer's market. I brought my little lady that I help out with here for lunch today. She has Alzheimer's and I take her to lunch 3 days a week to give her husband some alone time. Today we ended up here. I love this place. There is something for everyone on the menu. This time I got the seared ahi and a garden salad. Colleen got the sauteed shrimp and some of my salad. Both dishes were amazing and the salad is huge for 10 bucks. Our waiter, Shane, was great as well. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. It's a casual atmosphere and usually very busy, so it can get a little loud. I also got a togo order for the 2 of them to share for dinner. The turkey pesto sandwich with coleslaw. It looked and smelled so delicious, I'm going to have to try it next time. I also got them a brownie and a snickerdoodle cookie. I'll know how it was when I go back on Wednesday. Once again Great Full Gardens knocks it out of the ball park! This place is a consistent favorite stop when in Reno. We brought some Florida friends here this week and they were stunned by the sheer amount of healthy and tasty options offered. Where they live in Florida is kind of what you'd call a food desert. There's obviously grocery stores, etc. but not a lot of organics. Needless to say they were very impressed and even wanted to come back for dinner! The service is always amazing and the servers always friendly and happy. The restaurant gets crowded during peak meal hours and is very popular in Reno! I love this Great Full Gardens location. Every time I come here I get great, friendly service. The menu has so much to choose for vegans as well as the meat eaters or vegetarian. The parking is very plentiful. When you walk in you are greeted right away and seated. The servers never make you feel rushed, and the food is amazing and decent portion sizes. Coffee and lunch today with one of my besties at Great Full Gardens. I had the magnificent mocha with almond milke and she had the chai latte. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. The mocha was not overly sweet/sugary. I ordered the Great. She ordered the seared ahi appetizer which was a very generous portion to make a full meal for one. The ahi was sesame-crusted and came with house made teriyaki, wasabi cream sauce and green onions. I had the Great Full Burrito with Mexican rice, mozarella added tri-tip for protein. Came with a side of sour cream and both red and green salsa on side. Very good in its simplicity. The tri-tip was a little too chewy for my liking, but I would still order again. The service was fast, prompt and friendly. Our waitress was very patient with us as we were slow to order, being so busy catching up with each other. We came into Great Full Gardens on a Friday morning after a long hike. Dusty shoes, sun-warmed skin, and stomachs on empty. We weren't looking for anything complicated, just food that was nourishing and filling without feeling overly heavy. And this place always gets it right. When we walked in, it wasn't too busy, so we were told to seat ourselves. The vibe is calm in a way that feels totally unpretentious and relaxed. Our server came over within a few minutes, and we already knew what we wanted. We'd been talking about it since the drive over... we'd been saving up for these cravings! I had a sweet tooth that morning, so I ordered the Liège Waffle with a side of berry compote. The waffle is golden and chewy, with little pockets of pearl sugar that give it this amazing texture. Sweet, but never too much. The berry compote is fresh and bright, not syrupy, and pairs perfectly with the waffle. To drink, I had a Turmeric Latte. Warm, smooth, and earthy. It felt regenerative with every sip. Their specialty drink menu is incredible, especially if you're caffeine-sensitive or just want something soothing. Their Mermaid Latte is another favorite of mine. It tastes like Froot Loops! My husband ordered the Turkey Frittata, which was full of flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. One thing I love about Great Full Gardens is how well the menu balances variety with intention. They've got tons of vegan and gluten-free dishes, but also plenty of solid options for people who eat everything. It doesn't feel like they're trying too hard, just thoughtful food for all kinds of eaters. Their pupusas and breakfast burritos are also excellent and deserve an honorable mention. But what really keeps me coming back is how fresh everything tastes. Nothing feels frozen or phoned in. Every dish feels like it was made with care, like someone actually thought about what would feel good to eat. No shortcuts. No freezer-to-plate vibes. Just real ingredients prepared with intention, and it makes a difference. The flavors are clean and bright, the textures are always spot on, and the whole experience leaves your body feeling like it got exactly what it needed. Delicious, yes, but also the kind of fuel your body begs for. I usually grab one of their gingerbread cookies on the way out, but I didn't this time, and I'm definitely regretting it. We've been going to Grateful Gardens for years, but unfortunately both the food and service have really declined. We recently went for a birthday dinner, and the experience was extremely disappointing--especially for a $330 bill. I clearly communicated my food allergies to the server and emphasized that I could not have any breading. When my meal finally arrived--after waiting significantly longer than the rest of the table--it was covered in breading. This directly contradicted what the server had told me (that it would only have lemon butter, capers, and green onions), and I couldn't eat it at all. The timing of service was also very poor. We arrived at 6:30 p.m., and it took 45 minutes to an hour for half the table to receive their food. The rest of the party waited another 20 minutes, and my incorrect dish came even later. After pointing out the issue, it took another hour to get a replacement. By then, everyone else had finished eating and was ready to leave, and I still didn't have a meal. I ended up waiting just to take it to go, after watching my entire party eat without me. To make matters worse, an automatic 18% gratuity was added despite the disorganized and inattentive service. Overall, between the incorrect order, the long delays, and the lack of attention from our server, it made for a very frustrating and disappointing experience--especially at a place we've supported for years. I've eaten at great full gardens many times, but never at the south location. I recently came here for lunch with two friends, and was decently pleased at the speed of service for a lunch break meal. Both of my friends ordered the beautiful BLT, and I got the jackfruit tacos with extra white beans. The refried white beans here are special and delicious. I also love that although they serve meat, I never have to worry about lard, chicken stock, etc. in my vegetarian options. The tacos are incredible- I could use more jackfruit to tortilla ratio, but the toppings are great, taste is 10/10, and I love the sauces and green salsa. The restaurant is a wide open room, so it got pretty noisy during our meal. Otherwise, prices were decent, and service was great. I will always support great full gardens. read more
