Their sauce is always in the side so you don't get some soggy syrupy sauce all over everything. It's always on point. And the dressing for the salad is absolutely divine. They call it Thousand but it's 1000 times more flavorful than any Thousand Dressing I've ever had. They also give you Sirachia not some chili sauce the real thing. Been coming here for a while. Food is consistent and good. Service is usually decent. Had an issue recently where I ordered an extra item and when I got home the item wasn't there. Checked the receipt and definitely was charged for it. My recommendation is to make sure you check your food before you leave if it's a to-go or phone order. I first came to this place about three weeks ago and since then have come back four times. I love Teriyaki chicken but sadly there aren't many places that serve good Teriyaki in my area. This place is about 20 mins from my house but is in an area I often shop in. So far I have had the Teriyaki chicken burrito, the beef burrito and the Chicken bowl. Both chicken dishes are very good. I was a little surprised when I took a bite from the burrito and found lettuce, tomato, and cheese but it works. The beef is also good but I am not a big beef eater so I probably wouldn't get it again. I also always get extra sauce because it is nice to have extra sauce to dip the last bits of tortilla in. I am never able to finish a whole burrito and thankfully they reheat very well. My friend loves the tofu burger. I am not a fan of tofu but the burger is pretty good. I really like the take away menu. It is small and doesn't take up much space in my glove compartment, which I love. Overall this place is great and you get a pretty good amount of food for the money. Decent food, but the staff here are brainless and unable to think on their feet. I asked for a small chicken bowl with vegetables and was told that vegetables were $4.50 more. I wasn't willing to pay that much, no big deal. So I ordered a small bowl and paid. A few minutes later I noticed the 'Chop' bowl. (This is where it helps to have creative, thinking employees). The order taker should have suggested the Chop bowl. When I bought this to her attention, she said 'Oh, that only comes in a large bowl, you wanted a small. She was willing to sell me what amounted to an additional bowl of vegetables for $4.50, but didn't suggest the Chop bowl because it was a larger size. The teriyaki chicken was really good with plenty of chicken and a generous portion of rice. The teriyaki sauce has a great taste. I used about half a bottle it's so good. Unfortunately, I only had the chicken. My next visit Im havimg either the superburger and I'm bringing somone with me to try theyre order. I've had teriyaki at many places and there teriyaki ranks up there with all the local good ones. The place is not big and can get really busy - Thats a good thing! So delicious! The actual sit in area is pretty average, nothing spectacular or modern. But, don't let that fool you. The meal was a tad bit pricey (chicken plate with brown rice and avocado was $10.01) but, I guess it's worth it if you want left overs for lunch the next day (that's what I did). At least in So Cal, a lot of these "rice bowl" type places have been springing up like prairie dogs in an earthquake lately. This can make it a little difficult sorting out the good places from the bad. Thankfully, Chop Teriyaki is one of the good. Unlike most places, Chop has a little more variety than most other places. Here, you can get your typical beef and chicken, but also tofu, pork, and shrimp are offered in bowl or plate form. Burgers and teriyaki "burritos" are also help diversify the usually limited menu. Prices are fair, and comparable to other places that offer rice bowls ranging from $4-$8 for small bowls to plates. The food quality is pretty good too. The meats don't feel "cheap" and actually does taste pretty fresh. But be forewarned: They upcharge for brown rice (which seems to be the norm now at most places, sadly). Yes, they do put avocado in your bowl for an extra cost but the slices that you see in pictures are paper thin so it looks like more avocado than it really is. I've gotta say, their chicken teriyaki bowls are huge. My husband and I can share a large and he'll finish my leftovers. The rice is fluffy and warm...I could sleep on it. The chicken is tender and cut into perfect pieces. It's a good tasty bowl & large portions for a good price. We go here more than Waba Waba. On the other hand they're greedy with their condiments. Extra teriyaki...stingy, extra siracha sauce...even more stingy. Extra chop stix...forget it, don't ask. When we take it to-go they only give us one of each. The medium is a good portion - I think the large is too much and the small is too small haha.
