So happy to have another option for healthy eating. I was in the mood for a panini, so I stumbled upon this place on yelp. Decided to give it a try since it was close to home. We also got a smoothie with peanut butter and banana. The paninis weren't bad, but I wasn't crazy about the type of bread they use. I'll definitely come back to try their salads and wraps. Everything looks very fresh. You can build your own salad and you have lots of different toppings to choose from. They also have an insane selection of salad dressings. Overall, food is fresh, nice menu variety. Love their juices. I wasn't aware that salads and wraps are priced by the ounce. I got a South of the Border wrap and ended up paying $18 for mostly lettuce wrapped in a spinach tortilla. It's a bit uncalled for. The chicken is cold and all the dressings are pre-bottled/processed. I may just stick with juices, etc. as I'll go broke trying to eat healthy there. read more

The first time I ate here, it wasn't that great but my husband and I like to give places a few tries before deciding whether or not we like it. Yesterday was our third time and I'm giving them one star because Yelp makes you. I got food poisoned off of my Chicken Pesto wrap! Aside from that being the worst thing that can happen at a restaurant, the wrap itself was super salty. They put parmesan in the wrap with reckless abandon, and the dressing itself was already pretty salty anyway. I only ate about a third of it because I didn't want to power through it anymore, and I'm glad I stopped because I'm food poisoned!! My husband got the tuna sandwich and the bread was as hard as cardboard. Seriously not exaggerating here, it was even painful to watch him try to bite into it. He reports that the tuna salad was really dry and flavorless and even left his tomato slices in, which he normally doesn't like in sandwiches, just for the added moisture. We waited 20 minutes for our two chicken pesto paninis and they served other customers who walked in before us. The worst part is that they forgot to make our shake but we just wanted to get our food and leave already so we didn't bring it up. This review is for the bows. I have not tried anything else. I was not impressed with their açaí bowls. They have very limited toppings and my bowl was 10 bucks. They charge by weight. I just don't think it was worth the price for what I got compared to other bowl places. Bowl included strawberries, kiwi, granola, coconut flakes and almonds. I ordered the açaí with peanut butter but could not taste the peanut butter at all and açaí was too icey. This place is so bad I wish there was a zero star option. First of all the staff is terrible, not friendly nor informed. Their menu is not good allergy friendly, the substitutions aren't there for dairy or gluten. I ordered a salad, the chicken is chewy and strange tasting and the salad was more like soup the girl there out so much dressing on it I can't even eat it going right in the garbage. If you brave this spot make sure to get your dressing on the side and maybe skip the meat because it's not good. New salad place that only been opened for less than 2 months which is located in the La Mirada area. I was happy to find this place as I have been trying to laid off the junk food for quite awhile. So, here I am eating healthy food which I should eating for a long time. I've came here twice already, first time was about an month ago, and the second time was earlier today. I'm an big fan of the South of the Border salad and wrap. Very good stuff. And yes, that's exactly what I got. First visit was their salad, and second visit was their wrap. No questions about it. South of the Border comes with romaine lettuce, black beans, cilantro, avocado, crunchy onions, tortilla chips, corns, cotija cheese, chicken, chipotle dressing or cilantro dressing. I get the chipotle dressing. So good. The prices for salad and wrap are .49/oz. Total cost may vary based on portion size. And customer service was great too. Out of all the places I've been to for salad and wrap, Chop'd is the clear winner in my book. Where else am I gonna find another good salad place like this one, probably nowhere else. You walk across the window and get to choose ingredients you want to add, and they charge by the weight. FOOD: *Hawaiian BBQ Wrap* - I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ wrap, which I thought was pretty good. However, the server recommended that I put extra BBQ sauce, but I ended up regretting it because it was a little too saucy. Next time, I'll get sauce on the side! *Asian Sesame Salad* - my friend ordered this, and I loved it! It looked so simple, but the ingredients and dressing went so well together! I was SO EXCITED to try Chop'd. My cousin told me about this place. I felt like I was more friendly on the phone than the girl that worked there. Then, I by passed it but when I get there.... she just is not enthusiastic at all, says hi, then continues to do what she was doing. I then approach & say, "how are you? I have a to go order." I basically had to take the approach. Had higher expectations. I live beyond close too so I wasn't happy as a first timer because I planned to come often. I hardly ever give negative reviews but I am just so disgusted and sad about my salad. The chicken was so rubbery it ruined my entire meal and the feta cheese tastes more like a dried parmesan cheese. My friend also did not like her Tuna Panini and said Subway has better Tina melts. Man, I was so excited to try this place because I actually love salads and there's not really any salad places around. But my experience here fell short of my expectations. When I walked in it wasn't busy as it was like 2:30 in the afternoon on a weekday. There were 4 employees all talking to someone by the register, maybe it was a customer, maybe it was a friend. But they were loud and laughing so it was a good time. I stood at the counter for a few seconds while they continued their conversation. So the young man who helped me was really nice and explained that everything was done by weight. You can get a salad they already have the recipe for or you can make your own. I made my own with lettuce, onion, cheddar, cherry tomatoes, bean sprouts, bacon, chicken, and artichoke. The salad was okay, not spectacular. Got a south of the border wrap and a canned soda . Total came out to 19.00 dollars and change. Pretty much 20.00 dollars . When cashier told me the total I said Dam why so much. She said it's because we go by the weight and u got a soda . I never asked for the wrap to be huge and heavy it could have just been a regular size and it would have been ok. To the owner u need to change things up with pricing I understand that inflation is high but there's also other reviews on here about the same thing about weight and your pricing. I really recommend coming to Chop'd. I have been here many times and it has always been great. The food is very enjoyable and the Customer service is very friendly and quick. The South of the border, Peanut butter bonanza smoothie, and the Club panini are very delicious and I very much recommend. One of the main things i love about this place is their delicious açaí bowls. The açaí taste so fresh which i've never be able to get at any other place. I will 100% be coming back!! :) read more

This place has my absolute heart! I have tried many different spots where I get açaí bowls from but never have had such a more delicious açaí bowl than from here. Most places sell açaí made from another place but this one is HOMEMADE! You can really taste the difference, other than the delicious açaí the wraps,sandwiches, and salsa are also delicious. Just a quick tip here... if you get a chicken pesto wrap or anything kind of like a chicken Caesar wrap make sure you have them put croutons in the wrap... you gotta trust me on this. Just one guys opinion here but they would be well served cutting down on the number of dressings and items offered. Just make fewer AMAZING things rather than hundreds of pretty good ones. From the outside chop'd seems dark. The lighting in the dining room is insufficient. We thought they were closed. We saw one guy sitting in the dark eating. We parked and went in. Immediately my son was wanted to leave. He kept saying that the place seemed dark and dead. I told him to give it a try and if he didn't like the FOOD that we wouldn't return. The young gal was nice. We were disappointed that there was no vegan protein options. We got the veggie wrap. We took it home and once we got home my son reluctantly opened the box and took a bite. His eyes lit up and he started to wiggle in his seat and hummed as he chewed. I asked him if he was okay and he said with his mouth full of veggies, "THIS IS DELISH!!!!! Pretty interesting place because they charge by the ounce. Didn't realize it until after they made our wraps and placed them on the scale. I'm assuming for the wraps they have a measurement system in their head because they didn't ask us how much we wanted of the ingredients that were going in. My coworker and I shared the Pesto Chicken Wrap and the Steak Wrap. They were pretty tasty but had a lot of red onions in the mix that overpowered the rest of the ingredients. You can definitely taste that the ingredients are fresh and they take time into making your order...which is why it took us over 15 minutes before one of the workers was able to start on our wraps. The setup is basically like a subway/chipotle, you'll order and then they start assembling your order in and you'll pay at the end. For two wraps it came out to $20. One of my most favorite spots in La Mirada. Perfect if your looking for fresh food. It's surprisingly hard to find a good salad place; very lucky to have Chop'd near us. The South of The Boarder Wrap is one of the best wraps I've ever had. I highly recommend the Asian salad as well. Smoothies are great too; can't go wrong. Super clean and good service. It had a pretty good mixture of taste from the crunchiness of romaine lettuce to the nice taste of chicken with chipotle ranch sauce. My salad came out to $8.33. Depends on how you look at it, it can be expensive or cheap. Or normal. Personally I wouldn't come back here if I have to drive too far. They have a bit of variety in health foods - salads, wraps, smoothies, açaí bowls... it's a bit like a Subway bar for wraps because you could add extra toppings to it as they go down the line if you want. Note: They don't have prices for anything because they charge based on weight. It is pretty pricey though, my friend got a salad and I got a wrap and it cost almost $20. I had a bad first impression and almost didn't eat here because I wanted to call in to place orders for my coworkers and myself, and no one answered the phone. After trying to call them multiple times, I gave up and just decided to go and order myself. When I got there, I found the place really busy and had to wait a bit to place my order. When I asked about their phone, the guy working was super sweet and very apologetic, saying that the phone is hard to answer once lunchtime hits *Note to call earlier next time!* The food itself was really yummy. The veggies are very fresh, and they give a lot of options on sauces if you like flavor in your salads/wraps. All my coworkers were really happy with their salads/wraps, so they can definitely offer up a variety to satisfy any group of people (as long as they like veggies :)) The prices vary according to the weight, so you have to be pretty specific on how much food you want if you don't want the prices to get too high. The juices are also very expensive, but you can see them making it behind the window and can see all the fresh ingredients they're using! tldr; Fresh ingredients. They work fast. Friendly service. I'm so happy I found this place. My husband and I crave healthy options every once in a while, and we found this place through DoorDash. We were pleasantly surprised with the options and the quality of the food when delivered. We recently visited the store and ordered wraps. We weren't sure how the pricing worked at the restaurant, but it seems like they just make the wrap and weigh it at check out. I haven't been to the store physically but ordered through DoorDash. Ordering on doordash is actually pretty confusing for first time buyers. The restaurant charges you by ounces and I didn't know that. I just put the quantity at 1 and was charged .49 cents. Door dash contacted me and set the order straight and sent me an 18 oz south of the border wrap. It was seriously freaking delicious. I will definitely be eating here more often either physically or through door dash. read more
