Leave it to Debbie F to get me to try happy hour at Chophouse Thirteen! First- they will get busy, if you want to go for happy hour, get there early. The bar filled up fast! Next- the bar staff are fabulous & drinks well made and balanced. I went with an old fashioned, of course. I think Debbie had a cucumber martini- and that it all her. Food- we ordered sliders and Debbie got wings too. The sliders were superb! I know there was a garnish... maybe beets (which I normally love)- but it was pickled- bleh- I don't love pickled foods other than actual pickles or olives. The bartender got a laugh out of my reaction! I was grateful for the bacon fig jam on the slider to get that other taste out of my mouth! I really enjoyed the whole bar side of the restaurant- dark, moody, intimate feel, but like I did say- very busy! Enjoy- I need to go back!

Food and Service was an absolute 10 out of 10. This place gives you all the feels of a top notch steakhouse combined with a family/down to earth atmosphere. Loved our experience from the manager visiting our table to see how everything was to the free dessert to honor my graduation! This was my first time here but I don't plan it being my last. The food and drinks are pricey but it's worth the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere and service.

Fancy nice restaurant definitely for special occasions. So nice inside and staff was amazing. Everything we got was so good !! Definitely worth the price. Drinks were delicious as well.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was a good time. The ambiance and atmosphere is really intimate and laid back. The part that makes it better is that it seems like the business is prepared to accommodate whatever type of engagement you're having, and all your guests. That's always a plus. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. He assisted everyone (party of 12) with making decisions and the perfect pairings which were a hit. My guest count changed several times and the serving crew that answered the phones were extremely helpful. Major shoutout to them! Several items were ordered at the table and I don't remember all of them, but for appetizers I ordered chop chop shrimp and oyster Rockefeller for the folks at my end of the table. For an entree, I ordered the 14oz prime NY strip. Someone else ordered the lamb and another ordered the cowboy ribeye. The sides come family style, large enough to share. We had potatoes, sautéed spinach and grilled asparagus. I gave 3 stars because the food was good, but the price point doesn't feel justified. Outside of the oysters or Escargot, there wasn't anything particularly unique or exclusive about the menu, and I feel that you can get a similar experience at places like Outback or LongHorn for noticeably less. I'd definitely return, but I am not sure it would be my first choice.

Chophouse 13 was the perfect place to celebrate my friend's birthday. The service was attentive and super friendly. The ambience was moody, but family friendly, and even had an opening where you could peek into the kitchen. Our waiter, Brandon, described all the different drinks in such great detail that it was so hard for me to choose what to order! I started off with the Chophouse Toast. I could actually taste the hint of lavender, which isn't always the case. The focaccia bread with the olive dip and garlic butter was dangerously good --- I ate entirely too much before ordering! I'd also ordered entirely too much food; the crab cakes, lobster macaroni and cheese, brussels sprouts and purple sweet potato mash was a huge party on my plate. Everything was seasoned so well. The potatoes were super creamy. The Brussels sprouts were the perfect amount of crisp. I did not even need any sort of sauce or topping to add flavor to the crab cakes. The lobster macaroni and cheese was a sizable portion for the $24 price point. After boxing up my large amount of leftovers, I finished my meal off with the Old Souls. This was the strongest old-fashioned I'd ever had in my life and that is not a complaint. I'd asked Brandon what would be a grown man drink because oftentimes I feel as though there's just too much juice and not enough alcohol base in a beverage, but the Old Souls was more than I bargained for. I have never sipped on a drink so slowly in my life! My only qualm with this particular restaurant is that my friend lbrought in a Nothing Bundt cake and it was a $20 storage fee. I know that this isn't atypical, but it still shocks me every time because essentially you're charging me for cooling... My next time in Jacksonville, I will prioritize returning to Chophouse 13.

We recently moved here from Palm Beach County Florida and our go to steak house was a staple that has been in business for 50 years. We thought we would never find a good steak again. I am so glad we found this place and live close by. We always order Filet Mignon Pittsburgh style with a side of Sauteed mushrooms. We had bar bites only once so I can not speak much on those, other than their food is always delicious. We typically sit in the bar area which is nice and cozy with a fireplace, nice table linens and decor. The restaurant side is very nice as well with tables and booths. They have old fashioned in wood barrels at the bar that are aged in the barrels or you can order one that they make for you. Both are excellent. We are always greeted promptly when we sit down and service is phenomenal. If you want great food, service and drinks you wont be disappointed. My ONLY request is : please offer Sauteed Onions as a side. Many people like to have sauteed onions on their steak and I find it hard to believe this is not offered as a side.

My friends and I recently visited ChopHouse 13 to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we had an amazing experience overall. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed--they were kind, attentive, and created a warm atmosphere that set the tone for a great night. The food was equally impressive, great in flavor and portion size. Every dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyed, and we loved sharing plates among the group. Although I only managed to snap a few photos, but everything we tried was delicious, even the items not pictured. The only reason I'm giving a four stars instead of five is due to the pace of service. While every server we interacted with was wonderful, the wait for both food and drinks was noticeably long. Still, the quality of the experience more than made up for the delays, and we'd definitely come back again.

I went to Chophouse Thirteen for a belated birthday celebration. Before our reservations, my partner and I visited the bar for happy hour. We ordered the dry rubbed wings, a lemon drop martini for me, and a house old-fashioned for him. My drink was strong and very lemony. My partner enjoyed his old-fashioned. The wings came quickly and were scorching hot. My partner thought they were too salty for his liking. I thought they were tasty. I tasted the salt but didn't think they were over-salty. I also had a passion fruit martini before dinner, which I enjoyed much better. That's going to be my go-to drink when I return. As we settled at our table, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a personalized birthday card signed by some of the staff. It was a lovely touch that added to the celebratory atmosphere. We then decided to opt for two meals from the price-fix menu. The house salads were accompanied with a delicious champagne vinaigrette. Our main courses came out quickly and had a wonderful presentation. I asked for a medium well steak, which came on well and was hard to eat. Our server was able to replace my order, and the new one was perfect. My partner didn't care for his salmon. He said it lacked seasoning and couldn't improve it with the salt and pepper on the table. Our sides were great. The asparagus was tender while still providing a snap when cutting through them. The broccoli had a light, lemony flavor, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. For dessert, I was treated to two delightful options. The regular berry cheesecake, which was part of the price fix menu, was a sweet and satisfying end to the meal. However, the unexpected key lime pie, complete with a candle and a chocolate birthday wish, stole the show. The pie had a subtle yet refreshing lime flavor that perfectly complemented the creamy filling. It was a delightful surprise and a perfect end to the evening. My birthday visit was successful, and Chophouse Thirteen made a good first impression.

Excellent service from the hostess to the wait staff. We had many different items and it was all fabulous! Highly recommend the deviled eggs and lobster Mac for an appetizer. The half chicken with risotto was delicious, personal favorite was the Brussels sprouts. Steaks cooked perfectly, surf & turf so good!

We popped around the corner to a bar and grabbed a drink and before we knew it we were getting called. New for the food, let me preface this portion by saying our eyes were waayyy bigger than our stomachs so we ordered way too much. For starters we ordered BBQ shrimp and the Gormet pizza St Louis style. Both were delicious and perfect appetizers. For my main I got the gnocchi special, but I added sausage and mushrooms to it, which made the dish immaculate! The gnocchi on its own was good but with the extras was five stars. I also tried Mike's Alfredo and it was probably the best I've ever had. For dessert we ordered the gooey butter cake it was scrumptious! The service is also top tier! Our waitress was funny and helpful but gave us time to enjoy our food. There are so many things I want on the menu we will definitely be back.

I decided and came for lunch today and I will say it did not disappointment like I thought it would. I'm always down to try a place atleast once. So let's get into this review shall we!? Upon walking in my husband and I were greeted by the hostess and you'll see a big chalkboard with their weekly specials. We were sat in the back by a window so it was nice to have a view. Everything looked good on the menu. We started off with shrimp and some oysters and the oysters were topped with collard greens and cheese they were good but the oysters were just HUGE! For my entree I had a shrimp po'boy with a side of the bacon collards again they were really good. My only issue is that for my po'boy the bread was not a roll but it was still satisfying. My husband had the fish platter with grouper and trigger fish with fries and coleslaw. We absolutely loved the grouper it reminded me of red snapper. However we will be back and I love a cutie, rustic looking restaurant.

There were nineteen of us--only a couple of us had dined there previously. They said it was very good. We were shown to a separate room and were seated at several tables. Our server, Dalila, was very competent and efficient. (I don't know if she had the whole group because I was seated at the furthest table with my back to the rest of the room.) She took great care of us--and she double-checked the foods for anything onion (my allergy)--saving me from one dish that I ordered because an element had onion in it. I appreciated that! The appetizers were good--the stuffed mushrooms were great, the crab balls passable (a bit dark brown). I had the fish dinner and the fish (Basa) was grilled perfectly. But my potatoes were overdone and there wasn't much Cole slaw. I may order an extra one next time because that was very tasty and I wished there was more! My dining companions loved their stuffed flounder and the mussels! One of my friends split a slice of key lime pie with me and that was a highlight! Delicious!! So, all in all, we enjoyed our visit--the decor is great fun and everyone on staff was very friendly. I'll go again with family when they visit!

So, we sat outside on one of their couches and chatted. Once we were seated, we met our server who was covering a rather large area of tables, but doing a great at it. We ordered our food all in one sitting bc we were starving. We started with the bang bang shrimp appetizer and then two prix fixe lunches for both of us. Bang Bang shrimp tacos with fries for her and the Bonefish Grill cheeseburger (add bacon) with fries for me. The prix fixe lunches meals also provide a salad and a drink for $14.99. We started with some warm bread and oil before our bang bang shrimp appetizer came out (only one set of chop sticks - we could have used two but i made due with a fork). Next were our salads - my wife opted for the ceasar which was loaded with croutons and I had the shaved Brussel sprouts salad which had a great flavor. Our meals came as we were finishing our salad and the burger was great (half pound cheeseburger with bacon, LTO, pickles and bang sauce - grilled medium well). Super juicy and flavorful but a little salty at certain bites. My wife enjoyed her two tacos which come with bang bang shrimp on a grilled flour tortilla with cabbage and a cilantro crema. Their fries are crispy and well cooked. Our server did a great job attending to us while managing a lot of tables. Drinks were always full and she never missed a beat. We left full and remarked next time, we would skip the appetizer bc the prix fixe lunch gave us enough to eat without extra. Great option for lunch.
