Just me .. on my way to a fabulous dinner at Chops Lobster Bar - Boca Raton
    Kim G.

Great experience. We sat at the bar and shared the South African lobster bites, grilled octopus and Caesar salad. Delicious !! My date had the Dover Sole and I had the petit filet and jumbo asparagus. Will definitely be back.

Super happy with my chops experience, the ambiance is old school Italian, dark and moody, the octopus was so yummy and the escargot was excellent as well. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely experience at Chops Lobster Bar, especially sitting at an outdoor table, which made for a great atmosphere. The tuna tartare was very fresh and well prepared. We also ordered the scallops and the Chilean sea bass--both were delicious and cooked nicely, though they leaned a bit on the salty side and could benefit from lighter seasoning. The key lime pie was fine, but not particularly memorable. Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable dinner with great food and ambiance, just a few small tweaks away from perfection.

Incredible delish onion rings and the baked stuffed Lobster.

When we want a relaxing fine dining experience we always find ourselves going to Chops. One thing we always make sure to order is the spinach salad that is finished tableside. Always delicious and always consistent. I usually get the baked stuffed Lobster stuffed with jumbo lump Crabmeat and my wife loves the Chilean Seabass...the steaks are great and come the way you ordered it. A great diverse menu combined with very good service and the manager Mo makes sure we get our usual table and that everything is fine. It's always busy and for good reasons.

Chops is my local 'when I feel like a fine dining experience, good food, and close to home' place to go. I haven't always been satisfied, but this time, totally. We kept out simple. Choosing the two part menu @$58, I chose the crab and shrimp cocktail to start. Succulent shrimp, amazing lump crab, a little shy on the Horseradish, but it was easily cured. Service, BTW, was outstanding. That's where Chops almost always shines. For our main course, I chose the scallops, perfectly seared and served on mashed potatoes with capers and tomatoes. The capers added a unique level of flavor I hadn't expected. Quite delicious! My partner had the Farro salmon, served eloquently on a bed of greens in a delicate sauce. We added the garlic broccolini and the corn mash, winning accompaniments to the mains. We wound up making friends with the people at the next table, putting a wonderful end to a great meal.

I booked a dinner reservation at this restaurant for my husband's birthday tonight and I am so glad I did. It was an excellent experience. Every member of the team wished him a happy birthday. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very nice ambiance. The menu offers a two course and three course dinner option with many choices. There are also several separate seafood entrees, steaks, and lobster choices. I went with the three course dinner and started with the calamari. It was delicious. For my entree I had the Chilean Sea Bass Hong Kong style. It also came with spinach and jasmine rice. All three items tasted great. My husband went with the lobster tail appetizer and loved it. He also had the bone-in filet and said it was great. For dessert we had the creme Brule and the chocolate soufle cake. They both tasted fabulous. A wonderful experience all the way around. Service was great and professional.

It's appropriate to post an updated review to my earlier one which pointed out various concerns. This one will focus on the outstanding service provided by MIA and the incredibly well prepared meal - score to the chefs! Our dinner earlier this month was one of Chop's $69 three course specials. Not smaller sized portions. Just fewer choices but all prepared exceedingly well. Starting with chopped salad and a Caesar salad, we were each impressed. The croutons and anchovies on the Caesar salad and its dressing were outstanding. My husband had the salmon Oskar, delicious. Light. Fluffy. Tasty. And the crab meat placed on top was freshly cooked. And he enjoyed each piece. I had the Chilean Sea Bass Hong Kong style. The broth was tasty. And the sea bass was light. I could have eaten two servings. My eye caught the asparagus on the menu and I ordered it even though MIA advised me it was $13 a portion. The Hollandaise sauce was not heavy. It played a song on my tongue. Just delish. Of course I forgot to mention that we started with extra dry martinis at $15.75. Shaken to perfection. Chilled with ice slivers as requested. And the martini glass was full. Not 2/3 full. We did not stuff ourselves with the delicious desserts that we took home. We waited until the next day to treat ourselves. The key lime pie was on point. And the New York style cheesecake with fresh strawberries was like velvet in our tongues. Too many expletives here? Think I'm exaggerating? Nope. I'm not that type. And allow me to return to MIA as I end this review. She was informative. Intelligent. Not intrusive but clearly spoiled us with her attentive demeanor . If every server at Chops were like her the Resturant would be overfilled every night. And while it gets busy in season, it's not crazy crazy. Make reservations, though. We will be back. As long as MIA is working rhat night. (Oh the manager stopped at our table to ask if all was going well)

    12oz Australian ribeye, BMS 8
    Jeff F.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, nothing disappointed. Great service from Becky, pleasant, dedicated, friendly, just the right pace. Started off with Caesar salad which was surprisingly delicious. Fine chopped lettuce, many tiny croutons, fresh Parmesan cheese with the right balance of dressing. It's really the details that made it much better than most Caesars. This is the place for a great ribeye. It's not wagyu but that wasn't the price point we were going for. At $79 for the regular ribeye and $115 for the Australian was typical for a h end experience. They were cooked to the perfect medium. Finished it off with a delicious creme brulee with fresh berries that did not disappoint. Probably one of the best I've had as well. Rarely do I ever give 5 stars but they really delivered a fantastic experience. I would have liked to seen a snake river ribeye or similar with a BMS near 10 or 11, to fit in between the prime and A5 wagyu. The Australian was very good but a 10 or 11 BMS would have taken it over the top. Not a complaint, only a suggestion. I debated between Ruth's Chris and here as they both had a table available. I'm glad I chose Chops!

The restaurant has an old time charm of a steakhouse, with top notch service for the most part. Victor was nothing less than 5 stars assisting me with my OpenTable issue...he definitely went above and beyond, and comp'd a dessert for us for the inconvenience to no fault of theirs. As for the food, Cesar salad was underdressed and lacked Parmesan cheese, with pieces of romaine too big for a human bite...who wants to be cutting up salad to eat? The lobster casserole was recommended by a friend...it came drowned in enough oil and saturated breadcrumbs to make anyone choke, lacked salt as well, however it was perfectly cooked. The bone-in ribeye cut was less than I would have expected from this restaurant...I had a big piece of silver skin, and it was rather lean taste and texture more of a sirloin than a fatty, marbled ribeye...more like choice as opposed to a prime cut imo. It was, however, cooked and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato was barely warm...we finally flagged down our server and asked if it be heated ... we were at that point already 1/2 way through our meal. By the time they returned, I only took another 3 bites as I was finished eating. The potato was put under a broiler for a hot minute as the very top was slightly warmer, better...but underneath was still the same. The creamed spinach was amazing, reminded me of Peter Lugers in Brooklyn! Now the best was dessert. The butterscotch bread pudding was delicious although we wished it was crispier and thw chocolate layer cake was the BEST I've ever had, light and just the perfect balance of sweetness served w/ a big scoop of schlag (again for my Peter Luger fans)! A little inconsistent I'm afraid is probably why we hadn't been back all these years.

The server that took care of us was very nice and pretty good when it came to following up and taking care of us she even opened the bottle of champagne that we ordered, and she was very talkative and had a good conversation. It was a tough day, but they made it! Ps The key lime pie was good. Fish crispy yumm chicken too Moms fish was delicious and grilled well done like she like s it.

Stellar service and amazing food!…read more It's been a long time me loving in south Florida and trying different spots for me to have missed this awesome place is unacceptable From the first moment you enter the restaurant you are greeted with stellar professionalism We were seated within a few minutes and service was on point Marcelo was our server. On top of providing recommendations, he was so kind and professional + a very cool positive attitude that made us feel welcome We had : Roasted bone marrow w truffle gnocchi - this was incredible you have to order Churrasco : perfectly cooked tender and delicious Onion rings: too big fur my preference nothing diecisl The coolest thing I found on this spot is that they have a special menu that changes every day ( just a page of the entire menu ) from this menu I ordered the lobster roll - a sushi roll that had a perfect blend of flavors that governed my tastebuds for a moment It was incredible Meatballs: really good perfect appetizer to share I didn't park at the restaurant but I noticed it had valet - also the server shared Wednesday is ladies

I had a lovely Valentine's Day here with my boyfriend…read more Our server was very helpful with describing each of the cuts and showing us his favorite items based on our preferences. Meat market is an upscale steakhouse and the decor matched just that. Make sure to dress appropriately. We ordered the cajun ribeye, the crispy rice, lobster mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and the mac and cheese. My favorite items were the cajun ribeye and the crispy rice. The meat was cooked to perfection and the ribeye was juicy! The crispy rice was one of the best I've had! I have no notes on the quality of the fish or flavor, it was divine. I only wish that the crispy rice was warm. For the sides, I would order the lobster mashed potatoes but pass on the mac and cheese and creamed spinach. Those were lacking flavor and were just ok to me. Overall, I enjoyed Meat Market. I'd recommend for a nice dinner, anniversary, or girl's night out.
