Well, I have some friends that invited us because they were members and I was really excited to have that opportunity. Unfortunately it did not meet up to the expectations that I had for a country club and hotel, and an upscale restaurant how they served how long it took and the taste of the food. We had the prime rib look at the picture $76. It was pathetic. The taste was just OK a baked potato $14. I ordered salmon and told the waiter three times I wanted center cut it came out flapped open. I refused it. They do know how to do it cause they brought it back, which I did not accept a half an hour later. We also had the steak burgers which I couldn't believe that people pay $34 for that. It looked like a hamburger very very disappointing. We got there at 6:15. We didn't get served our dinner to 740 it was an experience that I would not repeat nor could I suggest it for anybody even if they stay at the hotel it was very crowded so obviously something was wrong with ours and they didn't even do anything except take the food. We refuse the salmon and another one of the steak burgers off the check . Didn't offer us for dessert. Didn't say anything of such which I've been to many restaurants and when something like that happens, they bend over backwards to try to make us happier which didn't happen at this time. read more

The place is pink and on theme, beautiful building and interior, and some fun table side preparations (Caesar salad and flambé dessert options). That said, we did wait a significant length of time to have our order taken and serviced (25 min for drinks to come, 1 hr 25 for appetizers to come out). I'll give it to them that it was a busy Sunday night with a conference and wedding, but hard not to be hangry. I had the red snapper with romesco sauce (a special) and it was one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. The employees were so friendly and accommodating to my husband and I. Our server Nick was the perfect balance of attentiveness but giving us space to enjoy our meal. He was also patient and playful with our kiddos. We walked in with low expectations given the mediocre reviews. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed my crab cake and branzino. The waiter overheard my husband saying they accidentally overcooked his steak and without asking, they didn't charge us for the steak and gave us a complimentary dessert. Steak Tartar - it's a very clean version of steak tartar. 4. Porterhouse - simply yummy and satisfying. 5. Dressed Lobster - delicious! The sauce compliment really well. 6. My favorite place in Boca yet. Not only is the food delicious and the service on point, but the vibes are immaculate. Maybe it's just because I'm currently binge-watching Mad Men, but I loved the 60s glam aesthetic. It pairs well with the top-notch service but suave men in white jackets. We feasted on oysters, ceviche, tartare, and gluten free bread to start; my chopped salad was also great. Everything was quality and tasted fresh. Everyone got different steaks for their main with a smorgasbord of sides to choose from. Simply amazing. Additionally they were great with allergies and made kickass cocktails. Our kids and grandsons were staying at the The Boca Raton Resort and picked the Flamingo Grill for dinner. A throw back to a 1960's Steakhouse, very attractive setting. Typical Steakhouse restaurant with very high prices and a very nice but pricey wine list. As usual ,excellent and attentive service. The restaurant is part of the Major Food Group restaurants from New York that operates all the restaurants at the resort. I started with a very good TUNA CRUDO, sliced Cucumber, Green Onion, and Caper Salsa. My ordered the soup du jour, Potato Leek Soup, also very good. For mains, I tried the 20 oz, PRIME BONE-IN RIBEYE available simply grilled or blackened. Very good but expensive at $78. My wife opted for the CLASSIC CRAB CAKE, served with a pickled mustard Remoulade, she thought it was good. The best value was dessert, a Banana Split , a whole production with them flaming it and it was only $ 15. For their prices, there are better steakhouses in the area. read more

Albeit a little small , Cesar salad also very good . Filet mignon was cooked to perfection. I am familiar with the prices on steaks at most steakhouses. Porterhouse usually runs $60-$65 a person. You go here just for the view. Food is overpriced for the quality. Ceviche was good, could have used a bit more acidity. Also ordered the flamingo salad and that was fairly bad... the vegetables tasted old and some had a weird flavor. Salad is also tiny considering they charge almost $20 for it. We were staying here for a weekend and wanted to try out the major food group collab,and we were not disappointed! All the food we had was incredibly delicious! I was a guest at the resort. I was skeptical of eating here due to the reviews. But I'm glad we did. Good wine. Ordered shrimp cocktail. Six large shrimp perfectly chilled and fresh. Delicious chopped salad with just the right amount of dressing. Wife and I shared the ribeye. Perfectly seasoned and probably the best steak I ever had. The food is delicious, the service is absolutely atrocious particularly considering the sky high prices. Our bill for 4 ended up being around $800 (including tip), and yet we had to ask repeatedly for drinks, for menus (!), to place our order (!!), and as well were shunted to the terrace after they couldn't seem to make our original reservation for inside work (we waited for 30 minutes at the bar after being told "we're just clearing the table," which was clearly not the case. The restaurant is beautiful with a great outdoor dining area looking out on the golf course. My wife loves the atmosphere. We were having lunch and dinner and could have been termed as "regulars" But 3 times now we have been poorly served. Last night while dining with another couple we received our entrees but not the sides. We then asked the wait person to bring our sides and 15 minutes later with no sides arriving while my steak was getting cold I was forced to go to the desk and ask why I am now eating a cold steak with no sides. They then came out but too late. The sides were taken off the bill but that did not make the cold steak any more enjoyable. We are hearing similar stories from other members also . They seem to have a problem keeping managers and maybe that is part of the problem. My steak was cold but also dry. The previous occasion when we dined at Flamingo the steak was well done and We ordered medium rare. A couple next to us experienced the same over cooking of their $30 burgers and were sent back. We hope they get it right but something is basically wrong and management needs to recognize the problem read more

Food was great, service was meh and the crowd was awful. If you want a great steak surrounded by loud children running around this is your place. If Chuckie cheese retired, and moved to Florida, this is where he'd set up shop. After going through the specials, we ordered one just to be told they no longer had it, and we had an 8:30pm reservation. They were also out of one of the desserts and the wine we ordered but never bothered to 1) either mention it or 2) provide an alternative. Overall disappointed that the management would create such an upscale menu experience just to have certain clientele destroy it. SMH, do better read more

Staying at the Boca Raton. Looking for dinner choices and they are scarce on property unless you're willing to overpay. Wanted Italian but the new restaurant is all booked up. Opted to get a to go order at Flamingo Grill. Asked at the host stand and was sent to the bar at the back. Got there and a bartender asked us how he could help. I said we wanted to place a to go order and a bartender who was ringing someone up whispered something and the other bartender said let's go outside. So we went to the outside seating and stood at that bar to order. Kind of felt like we were being sent to the kitchen door to order. Most places I've been have you order at the host stand and certainly don't treat you like a lesser guest. We decided to have a couple beers while we waited. Food arrived and 20% added to the order. For kicking us outside and ringing up an order? 3 cheeseburgers with fries, 1 kids chicken tenders and 2 beers - $146. There are plenty of choices outside the resort. For our second night we went off property for dinner. Better service, better food and better prices. I asked manager on way out if they frown on to go orders and explained what happened. He got us a free dessert to make up. If you have a car, it's worth going off property to eat. read more

The Brandizo fish is excellent. But I had to order two because it wasn't very filling. I thought the fish was a whole fish but not the case. The sides that they offer are very bland. How many different kinds of potatoes can you order. Waited over 10 minutes for a banana flambé which took too long. Cocktails at the bar are a five from 1-10. Nothing spectacular. Beautifully designed restaurant and the food is sublime. The Porterhouse Steak, Baked Potato or whatever they call it is unique and fantastic. I also like the table side prep of some of the dishes. Mehhhh... unfortunately that describes the dinner we had there last Sat night. Nothing great, nothing horrible, just average all around. Place is beautiful, folks are super nice that work there, view and atmosphere on the patio was great. They make a nice stiff vodka tonic, good wine list. Appetizers of Broiled Oysters, Tuna Crudo and Stone crab claws were easily the highlights. Lamb Chops were horribly butchered, fatty, and maybe had one solid bite of meat on each of the 3 chops. Prime rib and filet was average at best.. again not horrible, just ok. Creamed Brussel Sprouts were a good riff on creamed spinach. Service was fine until dessert, when I had to ask a waiter from another table to get the coffee I ordered after dessert was on the table and almost gone after 10-15 mins. I hope they work out the kinks, I know this place is run by a group whose restaurants I have enjoyed very much in other locations. This restaurant is a short term beneficiary of the fact that The Boca Raton Hotel/Club is not yet fully open given current renovations. The food is average and the service is absolutely horrible. Worse than the food service, is the incredibly arrogant attitude of management, who seem to believe they can treat club members and customers with complete indifference.. I suspect they will get away with this until more restaurants open at the club/hotel and in town. I'm hoping this horrible management style is not reflective of larger issues at the Hotel/Club. My strong suggestion is that you go to one of the many fine nearby restaurants instead. read more
