I had a large bowl of hot and sour soup today. If fact, I could not finish it all. Service was ok today, 3 of 5 scale. Never came back after they left the ticket. Food was 4 of 5 scale and very good soup and dumplings.

New Owners as of June 2017. Sad to see Past owners Mei & Bao move back to California after many years of great food and service. The new owners seem eager to please and have kept the majority of the menu intact. The fried rice, wonton soup and egg rolls unchanged and still excellent. My hot and sour soup was lighter in color and had more tofu and less mushrooms than before. Slightly more bland, they had the best in town before. The Kung pow shrimp I ordered very spicy and that did not get back to the cook as it was not hot at all. The Mongolian beef was saucier than usual with a thick sweet glaze, but still a deep black pepper flavor. Sadly only half the green onions or scallions they used to use that were nice.

The depot is modern and warm as you walk into what looks like a former fast food restaurant from the outside.! Seated, we were sad to note a very large area of peeling paint. This detracted from the otherwise modern and warm interior design. We were greeted quickly by a very kind and friendly server. We opted in for appetizers and chose steamed dumplings and hot and sour soup. The dumplings were on the slightly gummy side but edible, especially with the sauce. The hit and sour soup was well balanced and satisfying of not just slightly less spicy than I prefer and a little thicker than I am used to. For my entree, I chose the Thai Green Curry dish which was delicious and spicy and creamy in commit goodness. My husband chose the General Tso chicken. The sauce was tasty, and again thicker than we have had in the past. The chicken was definitely overlooked and too thick with coating. This is. Typical problem with fried chicken dishes in Asian restaurants and one we wish would would no longer experience.' In all, the food was tasty (although we both felt that the sauces were canned food service sauces), the atmosphere relatively nice and clean, and the staff was extremely kind and friendly. I recommend a stop here to satisfy a craving for Asian food and feel that you won't be terribly disappointed, even if the prices are a little high.

Based on other reviews we decided to give this place a shot. The inside appeared cleaned and tidy. Contrary to some reviews-our service was prompt, attentive and polite. The place was slow on this Sunday afternoon, so it was nice to see two employees staying busy and cleaning windows, inside and out. The seaweed salad was great, the steamed pot stickers tasted about as they appeared-bland but freshly steamed/hot. We ordered The Fire Roll, which was certainly not the worst sushi we've experienced-but we could have done without the seasoning they topped it but, but overall it was tasty and had a nice plated presentation. Finally we ordered the Pad Krappaw, again nice presentation but wild certainly order a spice level above a 2. Next time will definitely try a 3 or 4. Short one star because the food was good, but didn't blow my socks off. We will try again. Side note, I just remembered we never got our soup that came with the lunch sowco

Love this restaurant. The server is very friendly and attentive. Not once did my water glass get below half full. Also the food was hot and ready fast. The server remembered me from coming in a couple times before and made me feel very welcomed. Mr favourite Chinese restaurant in town.

There are other chinese choices I would pick over this one. Not impressed. Rice was way over cooked and sauces were not great.

We ordered a few dishes, friend rice, and two vegetarian tofu dishes and all three were spectacular, especially the fried rice!

Shogun, like most modern Teppanyaki grill establishments of the Rocky Mountains had its first year…read moreof hibachi excitement for the locals. If you seen it, you know it. Having food thrown at my open mouth and drinking crappy $3 cooking sake out of a food service bottle is something you do once, maybe twice if you have a sake bomb first. Only 1 to 2 tables are used at a time now with a decrease in the Wow factor. Hibachi aside, the sushi and full menu here is mostly good and some very reasonably priced. Lunch sushi deals are great. The 2 & 3 roll combo w/ miso are a great deal. The sushi & sashimi the same. Sashimi/Nigiri cuts are large and well done. What ever cleaning product they use on the floor is my biggest complaint. Not sure if it's the quaternary ammonia or something else, but it's strong in the booth area. An area I find very comfortable and inviting. Service is usually good. I've had 4 out of 20 orders with a mistake, but it's always fixed quickly and most of the time a language barrier issue. So glad they have what's called a scorpion on the drink menu. Also known as a volcano, a two person flaming volcano rum punch. Conveniently located next to the movie theatre, a great place for a meal before a flick.

We showed up around 6:45 PM while the restaurant was packed with a kids' soccer team from out of…read moretown along with their family who had come for a tournament. The restaurant was clearly busy and the hibachi side was absolutely packed. We asked for a booth because we didn't want to sit on the hibachi side with 400 kids yelling and running around and the huge crowd that came with them. That's completely fine, we just wanted a booth away from that instead. We were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait, so we sat down. During that time, more people kept coming in and were being seated at what seemed like squeezed-in spots at the hibachi grills with all of these kids, but I specifically noticed that nobody was leaving the restaurant. Forty-two minutes later we were finally told our booth was ready. As we walked back, I immediately said to my friend, "Nobody has left, how would a booth magically become available after we've been waiting all this time?" Then we got to the booth section and every booth was empty except for one family in the back. So now I'm wondering why I just sat there for 40+ minutes. We sat down, ordered drinks, got them, and then were asked if we wanted appetizers. Once we started looking through them, she said, "Oh, by the way, if you want anything that has sushi, it's gonna be at least another 30 minutes because we don't have a sushi chef on staff right now." Sushi was the whole reason we went there. We looked at the menu and decided to leave. We put cash on the table for the drinks because she never came back. On the way out, we told the lady at the front we weren't going to wait another 30 to 45 minutes for simple sushi. Another customer waiting overheard us and asked what was going on. My friend told her they didn't have a sushi chef on staff and couldn't realistically provide 90% of the menu people were coming there for. Her response was simply, "Wow." I think the first thing customers walking in should hear is: "Hey, we currently don't have a sushi chef on staff, so unless you want to wait a really long time, we can't realistically provide sushi right now." We had already waited 42 minutes and then were being asked to wait another 30+ minutes minimum. Asking people to wait well over an hour for sushi is wild. I can't comment on the food because we never got that far.
