This place has a large variety of salad choices however a new person not familiar with the concept could be lost. The staff was not friendly or helpful. I ended up selecting a Cesar salad with Kale but wanted other stuff in it...boy was that a challenge and I only ended up with cranberries. The place was packed at lunchtime. I will presume they don't need to be helpful as they appear to be doing very well. The food quality was really good..probably one of my better let's prepare you salad places. Obsessed with Chop't. Went to try it a few weeks ago, got the Crunchy Thai Market salad. Sooo delicious and large, it was a meal on it's own. I got that same salad a few times after that. I get the same thing every Saturday, the Harvest Cobb wrap and I love it! The portion size is a little too big, the restaurant is a little too noisy and I haven't tried but one other sandwich in all the months I've been going there, which is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. This was my favorite spot for lunch when I worked in Chinatown. Yes, the line is ALWAYS out the door and around the corner during peak lunch times but I always waited. I absolutely adore this place. I do not even live here but I make it an effort to eat here as many times as possible when I am in town. You basically pick from every salad possibility and they put it in a bowl and chop it up to make your own yummy creation. Think of it like a Coldstone for salads. This is the original chopt location in DC and I've been going there since the day the doors opened! Yummmm I love chopd! Once I found the Santa Fe Salad I never really ventured out much from that- pair it with the sweet and smoky chipotle vinegarette like they suggest. I'm pretty sure I could live off of that dressing- I always want to buy a bottle since they sell their fresh dressings! Salad prices can add up if you are choosing your own toppings but I always go with their pre-made menu salads. I give this place 3 stars mainly because I think it is very expensive. As for the salads - well they are very big and quite delicious! I recommend the Kebab Cobb - it is healthy and filling! I usually add jalapenos, olives and peas to it. However, $13 for a salad just seems a little crazy to me! I used to live in NYC and could get a comparable salad for about $8 in Times Square!! Overall - the place is healthy and I order from it when I'm in desperate need of a salad, but I don't go there too often or I'd be broke! I go here 1-2 times a week. I always get the Palm Beach Shrimp Wrap. It's delicious. They're menu is a bit pricier than others and about 6months ago, they raised prices on certain items (such as adding shrimp). They keep the place clean and well organized with multiple lines going at once and a manager helping individuals get to the right place. It's also pretty fun watching the salad creators at work. Their cashiers could be a bit better as I've had several mistakes occur when they charge me, or forget to add something, but they always make up for it and offer something, such as chips or a cookie to apologize for the mistake. Good customer service. You can order online too, although I've never tried, but would be a good way to avoid the lines. Not sure if they have a minimum for online orders. read more

I was really in the mood for a salad today and work just a few doors down from Chop't so I decided to walk down and check the line. Normally it's out the door, but today I only had to wait a few minutes and they were actively trying to move the line as quickly as possible, which was a plus. Normally I go to Cava, but wanted to try some place different. I loved the salad! I got a Kale Caesar with chicken and it was delicious. The woman who prepared my salad listened to my dressing amount request so it was the exact right amount of dressing. As someone who likes a crouton or piece of chicken in every bite, this place is perfect for me. Truly incompetent staff. They told me it would be 10 minutes because they were out of the grains for the chicken tinga salads. After I waited with several other people for it they decided to mention that they were also out of the dressing. When I ordered something else they also didn't have the ingredients for that. I was there yesterday and had a horrible experience with the dude who made my salad. There was a lot of noise cause it was crowded. The guy asked me if I wanted bread and I didn't hear him clearly. I thought he said lid. I said yes. When he put the bread on the bowl, I said no bread please. He shouted at me saying "I just asked u that question and u said no!" This dude was so rude! My mother especially enjoyed eating here while we were on vacation. She's vegan and wanted to find somewhere that she was safe from red meats and milk. She had never been to an eatery such as this before and fell in love after her first bite. She raved about how she had never had such a wonderful tasting salad in all of her life. I went to the Chop't in Chinatown and ABSOLUTELY loved it. My friend got the po'boy salad and I got the steakhouse sandwiches. They call it "sandwiches" but really, its more like a wrap to me. Anyways, it was awesome watching them make it in front of you and their serving size is very generous. They also have the best sauces. Only downside is that it was a bit pricey but I definitely didn't care about that since I enjoyedit 100% anyways. And also, their fountain beverages are from a local company so I found that pretty cool too. read more

Lately I've noticed for this location that the service is diminishing. When they started out, the service and food prep was excellent. Lately they have been forgetting certain things order related. For example, one of the principals with our company orders from them regularly and for the past 3 orders, they have forgotten the salad dressing. I ordered a salad the other day and they did not include all the ingredients listed in the salad. It's been taking increasingly longer for our delivery orders to arrive. Sometimes 1-2 hours after placing the order at 11 AM. Advice is to make sure your order is complete. read more
