Food here was amazing! I recommend getting some brisket and bulgogi. Service is good and all around this is a chill place.

Chosun is my favorite place to get Korean food. When we do Korean bbq, we always order the beef tongue and the galbi. For lunch I ordered the galbitang, seafood pancake, and bibimbap. I love how the galbitang has glass noodle in it too. They offer so many side dishes with your meal and the staff is always really attentive and offered refills on the side dishes. This location is my go to spot for Korean food!

You're honestly going to have better meat quality at Choga or Kpot AYCE and also save quite a bit of money. Table for two, did a meat combo for 60$. It came with four types of meats and was plenty for two. Several banchan, but you could taste and just tell that they were old. Vegetables were wilted, kimchi was softer and more sour. We got rice with our meal, but the rice was dry and hard. Meat was also dry. And the quality just wasn't there. Steak was chewy. Service was also not present. I didn't have my water filled until we were presented with the check, and when my water was empty.

When we walked in Sunday evening at 530pm, the restaurant was 1/4 full, when we left it was packed! The menu can be overwhelming because you are able to create whatever experience you want. The combo specials are definitely the Path to Take! Variety of meats!! Don't be shy about asking for more rice, more sides, and or more sauces ( I did all the above ). The servers work as a team and are readily available. By the way, is spicy! Next time I'm requesting a larger plate and also ordering veggies for the Grill. If you like savory, the chicken gizzards are awesome, and are for 3-4 people. I can't handle spicy food, so I ordered no jalapenos and they were great! It's a casual environment, everything is very clean, but I wouldn't consider it fancy ( you cook your own food!

Fabulous fabulous. Fabulous! I didn't feel like driving to 135th St. so I found this place off of Shawnee Mission. It was unbeatable. I will definitely be back to try other menu options. The food was incredible in the space is comfortable and clean.

Had a great time tonight with good company at Chosun 2. This is the second location in the KC area. I was told this one is the bigger of the two and more spacious. I certainly didn't feel cramped, even when I was reaching for the grill. All the starters they give you, kimchi, fish cakes....they are a yummy complimentary addition to the meal. The salad was wonderful. I probably had more than my portion of it! Our table also ordered other items including the seafood and kimchi pancakes. I ordered the Dak Bulgogi which is the marinated chicken. You grill yourself right at the table. It was tender and juicy even after being grilled. Everything had a great flavor of spices. I honestly don't think you can go wrong here! The experience is great!. Thank you to the staff for the great hospitality as well. I had a blast and will return!

I can't believe I never wrote a review for Chosun 2! This is hands down my favorite kbbq place to go. Everytime I have visitors from out of town this is the place we go. The service here is really good and the meats are fresh! I love the side dishes they provide and the corn cheese 10/10 the best one I've had so far in KC. My other favorite dish to get is the steamed egg soup which was recommended by one of the staff! Also, I'm a big kpop girl so while you're enjoying your food, you get to hear kpop music! What more can I ask for?! There's tables with grills if you decide to do kbbq but they also have regular tables without the grills.

Came on a Thursday night around 7:30PM and was able to be seated right away for the KBBQ. I ordered the barley tea cause can't have KBBQ without the Barley Tea. We ordered Combo #2 which came with beef ribeye, unseasoned short ribs, brisket, thinly sliced beef ribeye, pork shoulder and pork belly. The only meat that wasn't as good was the ribeye steak but everything else was good. The bonchon was yummy and the most memorable was the spicy hot dog with veggies. The hot dog reminded me of a certain Filipino food chain spaghetti iykyk With a last minute search, this place was a good find and the price was decently priced.

I'm such a fan of Chosun's new location. The dining area is bright and inviting with tons of grills to cook your food if you prefer but also plenty regular dining tables as well. I believe Chosun maybe one of the only Korean restaurants in town that serves Seolleongtang too. It's a delicious bone broth soup served with clear noodles, rice and all the sides. I visit during a very cold and wet day and it was perfect for me to get warm. I have definitely recommended this place to multiple people. I will be coming back with a group to get our grill on. The service was friendly and they checked on my multiple times to see if I need more sides as well! It's location is also very convenient right off of Shawnee Mission Parkway. Definitely give them a try, they are busy and fill up fast but also very efficient.

    Udon
    John K.

I really want to give it a 5 star because I'd the quality of food and service but it is quite in the expensive side. Plus udon isn't traditionally a Korean dish so I don't want to ding it too much, but the seafood udon was very expensive and was more on the mushy side. I was quite disappointed with it, esp for that price. I didn't think it would be authentic because I didn't see anyone korean from staff to customer but when I tasted it, it was definitely authentic Korean. This enriched my experience when I had my soft tofu soup and arguably the best kimchi I be had for a while. The customer service is great and couldn't really ask for much more. Thanks for the great experience!

Someone from the restaurant replied to a comment I had made, rattling off menu recommendations and encouraging me to stop by. It worked. By the time Father's Day rolled around, Meat Mitch had become the destination. When we arrived, the place looked exactly like the kind of barbecue joint people hope to discover. The patio was alive. Kids chased each other through the crowd. Cornhole bags flew through the air. Families lingered around picnic tables while smoke drifted through the summer air. We were quoted an hour-and-a-half to two-hour wait. No problem. It was Father's Day. Barbecue and patience have always gone hand in hand. So we made an afternoon of it. My son found other kids to play with. My wife ducked into Billie's Grocery for a coffee and a snack. We wandered the Plaza, killed time, and enjoyed the day. Frankly, Meat Mitch seemed worth waiting for. A 90-to-120-minute wait eventually became three hours. That's when the story changed. At one point we sat near the expo window because the Toast waitlist showed we were next in line for a table. From there, we watched the operation for over an hour. The bottleneck appeared to be the expo station. Food runners stood ready while plates piled up in the window and tickets were worked one at a time. The entire process moved at a pace that would make the DMV ask if everything was okay. Meanwhile, managers were making rounds apologizing to guests, comping checks, and handing out gift cards. Every few minutes another table looked confused, frustrated, or defeated. As I listened to conversations around me, a pattern emerged. Multiple tables said they had already waited 45 minutes to an hour for food after being seated. That's when it clicked. The Toast waitlist showed we were next in line for a table. We weren't next to eat. We were next to sit. By this point my son was having a better Father's Day than I was. He'd made friends, played games, and explored the Plaza. I spent mine watching plates age in the expo window like they were being dry-aged alongside the brisket. What really broke my brain was watching carryout orders continue to leave the building while the dining room was drowning. If your quoted wait has turned into three hours, managers are comping meals, and guests are openly frustrated, maybe it's time to stop accepting new problems and start solving the ones already sitting in your restaurant. Then there was the expo station. For over an hour, I watched the same pair of gloves touch faces, clothing, equipment, tickets, and food. By the end they were shiny with grease, stretched loose from overuse, and inspiring absolutely zero confidence. I've seen cast-iron skillets retired sooner than those gloves. I've worked in restaurants long enough to know everyone has bad days. Father's Day is chaos. People call out. Equipment breaks. Tickets stack up. It happens. But after three hours--already an hour longer than the maximum wait we were quoted--I never got to try the barbecue that brought me there in the first place. Unfortunately, I can't review the food. The only thing I got to sample was my patience. And that's a shame. Because everything about Meat Mitch made me want to like Meat Mitch. The patio was great. The atmosphere was great. The energy was great. It felt like the kind of place where you could spend an entire afternoon with people you enjoy being around. In a way, that's what made the experience so frustrating. The promise of a great Father's Day was sitting right in front of me. I just never made it to the table. Update: After sharing my experience with management, Meat Mitch reached out, accepted responsibility for what happened, and invited me back. I appreciate the professionalism and plan to give them another opportunity.

The lady was nice but she forgot what I ordered when I was ready to get up to the counter and order., The beef and 1/2 was $26.00. For two of them with fries it cost $72.00. I have been coming here for 50 years and those prices are outrageous. But I want to try one since it had been 10 years since I had one. The beef on the beef and 1/2 was not like I remember it. It used to be free from any fat at all and lots of tender lean meat. This time the beef and 1/2 was kind of fatty. But it was huge tho like i remember it being. Oh well, it was still pretty tasty. I always have loved the steak fries here tho. They were just like I like them crispy, hot and delicious.
