I'll start with the obvious, their burgers here are ridiculously good and they have over a dozen to choose from. I was skeptical at first as I really am just a diner smash patty and some cheese kinda guy. I really do not enjoy "gourmet" burgers. This place isn't that, they serve smash patties on all burgers made fresh d aily, owner came by and told us he won't open if he doesn't have fresh meat. The parties are AMAZING. The portions are just right finished the burger and had just a few tots left over. Service was also very good. When our server found out that it was our first time she made it a point to explain their menu and how the food is prepared etc. Her table service was frequent and subtle just the way we like it! Stopped in for a bite to eat for dinner on am weekend evening. It was pretty busy but some tables were available. I was craving the chicken and waffle but unfortunately they were out of their special batter and the waitress recommended ordering something else. So we had the Bacon Cheese burger on crack , with fries. And absolutely loved it! Cooked to order of medium-well (yes, you get to specify how you like your order cooked from medium rare to well done) . The bacon was fantastic, the burger flavorful and some chips on it and cheese made it wonderful. No regrets ordering this! Now I just have to go back and order the chicken and waffle some other time. On a more serious note, I like the idea of this place and it seemed friendly however I don't see this place staying around without better menu execution and either lower prices or improved quality (rather than simple layers of salt & fat). Almost a little overly intrusive if you want a quite dinner, but honestly, it's more of a "here everyone knows your name" feel type of place. I can't remember the burger I got, but my friend got the one with peanut butter. We both really felt like they were huge, and quality. We both agreed that there was too much cumin in the onion jam. Amazing Burgers. I have eaten here 3 times and each time is better than the first. Big proportions, will customize orders, excellent Service. The Loaded-Tots are delicious with sprinkles of brown Sugar Bacon and if you get the fried mac & Cheese, know that it is 6 pieces and almost a meal in itself! Service from the bar was great with a good choice of beers and liquor - including a 10 year old Pappy Van Winkle available. Lots of room in the Air-conditioning inside. Ate here for the first time tonight, the menu was intimidating due to the complex mix of flavors. We decided on: Jesse-laya: Spicyyyy but so filling and delicious. The burgers here are delightful and delicious. Everything else is a little off. Club sandwich neither tastes or looks like a club, mac n cheese is never not sitting in a deep puddle of oil, chicken is alarmingly cold in all preparations. And I know that they're not known for vegetarian dishes but sometimes that's what I want and every time there are big ass burnt pieces of the veggies. I experienced this when I ordered the green garden and also the ratatouille. Every time the vegetable is unidentifiable and crunch and hard and so so gross and unpleasant. My wife and I just ate here on our date night and I thought it was review worthy. The food was delicious. The slow cook there bacon in a brown sugar glaze that turns it into some sort of all American candy. She had a burger with mushrooms in it and loved it. We also got appetizers-the blue cheese fries which had an awesome cheddar cheese sauce and bits of that bacon candy and- deepfried avacodos that were pretty good too. I got the wolverine#5 burger and it was awesome but HUGE! Probably would have taken a lot of it home but the owner apparently has a challenge where he has anyone who can finish it sign his bar with a sharpie soooo. So this is my second time here, been over a couple of years since I have been here. Walking in you are immediately hit with the wonderful smells of bacon and spices. The menu literally has 20 burgers to choose from, so yeah, this is a burger place. Ranging in price from 13-29 dollars you can get almost anything you want. Another fan favorite for me is the serving of tater tots. The often over looked forgotten step child to the French fry, I will take a tot over a fry everyday and twice on Sunday. So today, I ordered the Love burger. Anytime six pieces of bacon can be added to a burger, I am all in. Believe it or not that much bacon on a burger didn't overpower it at all and to me was the perfect amount. Here your able to order your party pretty much anyway you like your burger. You can have it hockey puck style or just shave some hair off and slap it's behind before sticking it on the bun! So no excuse for over or under cooked meat. I as always when presented the choice get tater tots, it's just my thing. With several add on flavors to these was well, you simply cannot go wrong here. Came here while on vacation as a recommendation of someone who lived in Springfield. We absolutely were NOT impressed and found it to be overpriced with lackluster food. The thought of the mac & cheese still makes me want to vomit a couple weeks later - it was horrible. I can't even describe the weird flavors it had, and my husband had the Dirty Mac and also found it unpleasant. Teens had burgers - keep in mind their spicy burger with 3 emojis was not spicy so perhaps the west coast doesn't do spice like we do in the Midwest? They don't have ketchup for the fries either which so weird, so we had ranch for dipping and the homemade ranch was not impressive. Service was fine, standard. I was very anxious to try Chow. It gets good reviews and the menu sounds interesting. After attending a holiday event here, I have to say I was not impressed. The food was ok but not what I expected after all the rave reviews I read. The mac & cheese, while creamy and cheese, was just buried in garlic. I love garlic but this was too much. Way too much. All I could taste was garlic. The burgers were ok, but the bacon jam? that will be a hard pass from me. It was just so sweet, with a weird texture I found off-putting. The food tasted unbalanced and oftentimes their signature bacon overpowered all the other flavors in the dish. Their server seemed bothered by our presence at times but remained courteous and obliged our requests for things like ice for our water, salt for our tots, and ranch dip for my kiddo. I cant say enough good things about this burger. May be even the best burger Ive ever eaten.
