Ordered a Shoyu Ramen which is one of my faves! Recently opened in Pismo (the Morro Bay is the original), and the high quality ingredients, deliciousness, casual setting, and friendly service are still the same. They have parking in front which is nice so you don't need to find street parking only. Topped off the meal with dessert, a generous coconut sorbet. This is the best Ramen I have ever had. The texture of the noodles was perfect. Not soggy or overcooked, but al dente. The texture also stayed the same up to the last bite. The pork belly was nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned. The broth had a flavor that was out of this world. And the presentation was as good as the flavor. I tried their 'Beef Bulgogi Bowl' and it tasted amazing! Which is a flavorful Brown Rice bowl with Filet Mignon Skewers and fresh popular Asian Cuisine ingredients. Everything was cooked to perfection, such a satisfying and healthy tasting meal. I wouldn't substitute a thing on it, it's put together perfectly. Service was awesome, friendly and welcoming staff. Sad to write a poor review, as I was hoping this restaurant would be great! The ambiance and employees working were very kind, but the BYO ramen bowls that I ordered were possibly the worst ramen I've had from a restaurant, and definitely very overpriced for the amount of food given. The pork belly pieces, which were EACH $2.35, were about 2x1 inches in size. Super small amount. The ramen broth tasted like a teriyaki sauce - neither tasted like a miso nor a shoyu broth (we ordered one of each). It was very easy to spend $40 pre-tip on takeout for merely 2 bowls of ramen, which isn't extraordinary these days, but the portions were so small and the flavor so off putting that I sadly could not imagine returning. Just seemed like a tourist trap, so I'll stick to other local options. read more
