Was driving up the coast on a road trip and did not expect such a great little Thai place in Pismo Beach, but here we are. The food was delicious and the service was great. The owner had the sweetest voice and disposition. My friend ordered The OG Noodles pork edition and she said that this particular spice combo is so hard to pin down and get right. She's been trying Thai places all through SoCal, so it's a huge compliment. My daughter got the chicky noods which she really enjoyed. My son got the OG remix with beef which he was only ok with, but I totally loved. He said it was too garlicky for him, as if that's even possible. The restaurant is a small little place. There were multiple tv's going with Thai food shows and also Indiana Jones. Water is served and can also be refilled/self served. We had also ordered some cream cheese puffs which the children devoured. Thai iced tea and Thai lemon teas were a little sweet for me, but once diluted with water/ice, was really refreshing. The mango sticky rice was beautiful and had that perfect balance of sweet and also a touch of savory. We stuffed ourselves so much we had to walk it off or suffer the consequences at night. I'm in a dilemma - if I give them a great review, others will discover how good the food is and I might have to wait for a table. But I want Mr Noods to stick around for a long time because the food is delicious and the people are so sweet. OK - here goes: YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. I'd been craving a good ramen bowl and I was not disappointed. The broth was superb. Hearty, spicy, rich with flavor. The noodles were tender, but still toothy. And the pork - OMG - chunks of braised pork crumbled in my mouth. So tender, and flavorful. Perfectly cooked. I have a pretty fair tolerance for Asian spices and I ordered the Medium, which was plenty hot. To calm my raging taste buds, I finished off with a little bowl of house-made Coconut Ice Cream (Not creamy. More like a sorbet. Tasty). Oh, the regular iced tea was dark and tasty, not a thinly disguised substitute for tea. The people are super friendly, but respectful. One of the servers made a slight bow as he left my table. The actual space is pretty sparse. Clean, white walls. Minimal decoration. I thought it odd that the Muzak wasn't Asian, but it was pleasant. FOOD: Finally was able to try this spot after seeing and recommended by yelp. I ordered the OG remix (dry noodles) and my partner ordered the OG noods pork edition. Broth for the OG foods were flavorful yet still light. It definitely has a good kick to it and you still have options to kick it up a notch with their condiments available such as pickled jalapeños and chili paste/chili oil. The dry noodles were also packed with flavor and the pork was so tender. Plenty of other options for dishes such as rice dishes, stir fried noodles with seafood options, desserts and dim sum type options for appetizers. You can also customize the type of noodle you would like for your noodles dishes like egg noodles, thin or wide rice noodles or rice vermicelli. I love that they offer this option because I personally prefer egg noodles. Everything we ordered was delicious. SERVICE: Service was quick, friendly and welcoming. They greet you as soon as you come in through the door. They assist you with seating and the menu. Had no issues answering our questions. They offer free lemon infused water service from a water dispenser which was great. They were all so nice and smiling. 10/10 service. AMBIENCE: The place is not that big and I cannot wait until they expand the place a bit more. There's parking available around and in the back of the building. It can get crowded easily due to limited tables available but take out orders are available. They are not available for DoorDash but this type of food should never be doordashed anyway. It deserves to be eaten right away. Good lighting and clean restaurant. I definitely highly recommend this spot and will come back again to try other dishes. The noodle dishes are about the same as other ramen/noodles spots and the rice dishes are quite up there with the prices but so far the portions we received were of good size. The location as well as the high pricing of everything else is definitely the contributing factor for the prices so I can't say I blame them for charging the way they did. Perfect for couples, solos and family. They are able to accommodate slightly bigger groups/families but best to call ahead if so. Service was top-notch! It looks like a mother and her kids run the place, and they were all so friendly and welcoming. They constantly checked in to make sure everything was perfect, which made the experience even better. I only tried the pho this time, and the portion was huge with plenty of meat. I'm usually not a fan of cream cheese puffs, but oh my goodness--they were absolutely delicious! The shrimp was also fresh and tasty. And I can't forget the Thai tea! The pho was okay, I think the beef was cut a little too thick, but I tried my moms pork noodles and it was SOOOO GOOD. They are what you could expect from a traditional vegetarian egg roll--being sprouts, cabbage, and such--except these were the hottest, crispiest, most delicious egg rolls ever! What we decided for our main entree is: Chicken Yaki Yaki Love-- "stunning" large portion of meat, with its umami and sweetness--a perfectly balanced sauce, lots of vegetables and a huge scoop of rice! Chicken Rice Rice Baby-- again another classic favorite. Large portion of fried rice with a great portion of meat, excellent! And my husband ordered: The OG Noods Pork Edition--with a rice broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and big chunks of tender pork! I, being the reviewer for the family, get the blessing of trying everything! Despite being full after all of that, we found room in our dessert stomachs to try the Banana fritter sundae--not like the picture, this dish is actually slices of banana wrapped in wontons and fried served on a dish with syrup and I believe possibly honey, with a large scoop of French vanilla ice cream in the center. So not a fritter but delicious, crispy hot wontons served with al a mode with syrup and peanut. Everyone loved it. Though I would make a SPECIAL NOTE: about the ice cream having crushed PEANUT on top none of us are allergic but I'm not a fan of peanut so I just ate around it. Ugh, so so happy there's a Thai/Viet fusion place here at 5 cities now! Before I get to the food review, I have to say that their menu was spectacularly made. I love the symbols of which protein is in each dish. My partner cannot eat beef therefore, it made it easier for us to order! I ordered the House Pho, Spicy Daddy, side Pork soup, and Sticky Mango Bliss. The House Pho was just what I needed. It had lots of meat, broth, and noodles (I still have leftovers!). We came in with a big party of 10 and they were very welcoming. This spot is what looks like a family operated small business. The service was outstanding. I got the OG beef noodle which is similar to Boat noodle and it was very flavorful. The fried rice was a very traditional Thai fried rice, not too overpowered with soy sauces, cooked perfectly. Our first night in Arroyo Grande and needed some flavor and comfort. Found this place on Yelp and it's just a few minutes away from our stay. Service is EXCELLENT. This is a family owned and operated restaurant. They truly care about the customer and their experience. We had: *Kickin' Noods - chock full of deliciousness like sliced pork, pork balls, perfectly cooked noodles and toppings. The broth is Tom Yum-based, so lemongrass really freshens this dish up. *Fried Tofu - not coated (which I love) and fried crispy outside and soft inside. Not greasy. *Shumai (dim sum) - filled with succulent pork and steamed to perfection. *Thai Iced Tea - HUGE serving, perfect flavor, not too sweet. *Mango Sticky Rice - served just like you see it in the pics. A mango heart with a mound of warm sticky rice drizzled with coconut cream. So big, we took half home for later. *Coconut Ice Cream - y'all. This not just any coconut ice cream. Our server told us the recipe is from her 80-something year old grandpa, who still makes this from scratch all by himself. This is LOVE, right here. My first experience here was wonderful. Me and my party was 21 people, most of them kids with 3 being babies. The service was great. The 2 ladies and 2 older men were very welcoming. They accommodated our requests and was fast with getting our food out too. And the food was all fantastic. We ordered udon noodles, pad Thai, pho, fried rice, gyoza, mango sticky rice, and Thai teas... and thats just from my side of the table. They were all up to our liking. The pad Thai was light in flavor, not heavy or too sweet. The udon noodles I didn't eat but had a taste of the broth and omg it was delicious. Pho was good aswell but my fiance wished they had chilli oil and fish sauce. Appetizers got demolished by the kids so there's that. And the Thai tea and mango sticky was just right on the sweetness. It was not overwhelming. Would recommend this place. I think it is a nice little restaurant run by a kind family. I hope to visit here again on our next trip to the beach. read more

Went to grab dinner and there were two other tables seated. The service was fantastic. Patient and friendly servers. The noodles were delicious and the thai iced coffee was divine! I would skip the gyoza and wontons next time since it just tasted like generic fried frozen appetizers. I do regret not trying the dessert so I'll have to be back for that. My reason for the 4 stars was the wait time for the food. With so few parties it shouldnt have taken 30 minutes for the food. That being said, I do prefer to wait for fresh hot food versus quick food that's been sitting and reheated. I visited with a friend for the first time today. I got The OG Noods Pork Edition and they were very good. Lovely savory broth and tender pork. My friend got their Pad se Ew and it was also very good with a light soy flavor. We shared the steamed coconut pudding for desert. The table service was very fast! New location in Grover Beach. Formerly Divine Thai and Khang Thai. Not sure if same owners or just a rebrand but the menu is very different from the two former restaurants. Nice location right off Grand Street. Not much street parking but there is plenty of parking in the back and side for costumers so check it out. It was still the Grand Opening. They havent worked out all the kinks. You walk up to order if you are taking it to go. Walking to the front they will also tell you to sit if dining in. A bit short on staff but very friendly. Food was good. A solid 3.5 with room to improve. Appetizers Cheese ragoons and gyozas tasted exactly how they should. Priced for location, but not world changing. Almost like a dollar a piece. We each got a different noodle dish. The traditional pho was good, needed more salt. Pad see ew was good, broccoli a bit overdone. Crimson bowl had good flavor, noodles were more sauced then anticipated. Not exactly like the picture. All in all good; willing to give another chance in yhe future. read more

My family and I were incredibly excited to try Mr.Noods. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted warmly and treated like family. This is a family run establishment. 3 generations from Taiwan, grandparents, parents and their little guy who inspired the logo and the entire dream of making their restaurant a reality. They were all so gracious and appreciative of our choosing to dine with them. When our appetizers arrived we thought perhaps it was an indicator that the food moving forward was going to be just "alright". We weren't all that impressed...BUT their iced tea and entrees were phenomenal, huge portions and absolutely delicious. I ordered the OG Noods pork edition with thin rice noodles, the pork was SO tender. My husband ordered the Yaki Yaki Love with beef which he thoroughly enjoyed. (I tasted it as well and it was yummy.) My son had the chicken Pad Thai and was pleased as well. Now for the coconut cloud sweet ending. OMG delicious, and typically I don't even like coconut and I would go back just for that. It was the 80 y/o Grandmother's recipe and we got an order for the table to try and even though we were stuffed it was gone before we knew it. Service is horrible, just went there for a to go order of two entrees. I waited 50 MINUTES with absolutely no communication- while others that were dining in received their orders. They were out of most of the items I ordered initially like the Pork ramen, which apparently is very popular, but I wouldn't know as what ordered never showed up. Was excited to try a new place. The ambiance seemed as if they hadn't gotten around to decorating yet. No problem. The waiter was prompt and friendly. That's always nice. We ordered eggrolls as appetizers. Just a few minutes later, our main course showed up. Asked about appetizers and was told they had been frozen and were still in the fryer. Disappointing, but ok. They finally were served and we were warned they were lava hot so wait to eat. Just as I got to the appetizers i no longer really wanted, someone started mopping the floor with a very strong chemical detergent. Now this was all I could taste. We immediately asked for boxes and the check as the smell was so strong it was headache inducing. As for the quality of the food, I've had better Pad thai and definitely better egg rolls. Highly recommend. This was my first time eating at this newly opened restaurant, and wow! I did not expect it to be this good. It's a Thai-fusion spot with tons of noodle and fried-rice options, plus amazing desserts. I ordered the crab fried rice, and it was super delicious. I also tried two different noodle dishes:one with a soup base and another that tasted like a Pad-Thai fusion with clams. Both were great. For the dessert I had deep fried banana with mango ice cream so good. The service was great, quick, and friendly. The restaurant is in a convenient location, and there's a parking lot in the back, which makes it easy to get in and out. Honestly, if I could eat here every day, I would.
