Don't let the strip mall location fool you. Chowderheads is an awesome experience with exceptional food. The kitchen is right behind the counter inside and you can smell the delicious meals being prepared. The Lobster Roll is famous for all the right reasons. The chicken for the non-seafood folks was also good.

It was my third visit and I will just keep on coming back! There is this server with brown hair she's there every time I go in her name is deseree She's the sweetest lady and is usually there when they open! The entire staff is attentive and on point even if it's busy, I came on Valentine's Day to get a to go order and they had it down! I was very impressed! I definitely have to go get more photos of the food but this place will not disappoint you if you like seafood! I've tried three of their chowder soups and so far I've loved every single one! They all have a different twist on them and all taste really good! I like how the soups always have enough veggies and clams in them it's not just broth! Their soups are really good and I've definitely been telling people about this place! Cheers to my new favorite seafood spot! Definitely glad I found this place!

Stopped by this place after a very long day of travel. We were seated quickly and allowed to view the menu with ample time. Food was okay. The clam chowder and the gazpacho were the highlights. Sadly the "market pricing" is pretty wild. Only say this because the following day I went to another establishment and ordered the essentially the same foods and the price was significantly less expensive while also being MP. Overall this is a fun local spot that was very friendly staff.

The food is good quality and the atmosphere nice. Some portions like the fish and chips are generous, but my scallop roll was almost obnoxiously small for the price. The Rhode Island clam chowder was good though I'm still loyal to cream based New England style. Service was off, we were first seated last to have our order taken and served which took about at least 40 mins to get food but it was ok since we enjoyed sitting down to talk and not be rushed out. All in all, it's a good restaurant but just low bang for the buck on the seafood which was disappointing.

It's hotel food, so everything is overpriced. Quality was actually decent though. We all really loved the breakfast - all the goods like avo toast, chicken sausage and bacon, choco chip pancakes, eggs, etc. There's a kids menu for breakfast too which is nice. Lunch and dinner menus are also large and have lots of delicious seafood options too. We had the seafood pasta at dinner and it was really yummy! My grandma came for lunch and absolutely loved her burger. There are also plenty of kids menu items to choose from. Service at dinner was not great. It took hours to eat. After a while we noticed we hadn't gotten our main, and the server informed us that we needed to tell her we were done with our apps and ready for dinner in order for them to fire it off for the kitchen. Interesting system - and probably good to inform guests about this to avoid waiting for food for hours. In any case! It's really sold for a hotel restaurant and we enjoyed all of our meals here.

I was hoping for a special brunch experience with my young daughter to celebrate coming back for the first time in several years. We decided to walk over from Carlin Park via the beach, which turns out was a huge mistake - after asking 5 different employees how we could get to the restaurant, we were essentially told we had to sneak past security because there was no other way. Once we eventually made it to the hostess stand, we were seated in the direct sun outside and asked to move to one of many shaded tables and told no. We felt very unwelcomed by all the staff, like we weren't welcome to the restaurant since we weren't staying there. We were given breakfast menus and told we had to order immediately, which we did - then we were told breakfast wasn't possible and we had to order lunch. Since the restaurant is closed for 30 minutes between breakfast and lunch, we asked if we'd need to wait that long for the order to go in - and were told no, it shouldn't be a problem. Keep in mind I had a hungry toddler in tow as well. 45 minutes later the food starts coming out, and it took 60 minutes for my daughter's French fries. We were very close to getting up and walking over to Publix just to get something in my daughter's stomach - and honestly wish we had, based on the quality of the food. We had: Turkey club - worst item, dry and bread was awful. My mom only ate a quarter of it Mango slaw - very undersalted, and sadly the salt shakers were clogged Burger - ordered medium rare and came out medium well, but at that point we weren't willing to wait another 30 minutes Mahi Mahi sandwich - just OK - a bit overcooked and a tiny piece of fish (see photo) I added a star because our server was very sweet and ended up comping a key lime pie - which was delicious. Overall, for a $100 lunch we expected much better service and food, and will not be returning.

They let us store our cake in the fridge and reserved a private area on the beach side of the restaurant just for our party of 20, which made the celebration feel extra special. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks came out surprisingly quickly, especially for a larger group. The only downside was that I felt some items were a bit overpriced. I also wish the beach seating offered the same menu as the main restaurant, since the outdoor menu has fewer options. The view was absolutely beautiful, and we had a wonderful time overall. My only recommendation is to avoid sitting outside during the summer if you can--it's extremely hot, and you'll likely be sweating throughout your meal. Next time, I'd love to sit inside and enjoy the restaurant again!
