I had the pho it really wasn't very good the noodles were very sticky and dry it definitely was not a place that takes pride in their food, it's just a fast food restaurant. I also had their purple ice cream on shaved ice which was pretty good although the beans at the bottom were like really gross. I do not recommend this place for pho it's way too expensive and there's so many other wonderful choices for pho out there. The desert treat was a fun new item though. read more

The food here is nothing really to talk about... I ordered the garlic chicken with the noodles and fried rice. The noodles and fried rice were flavorless and they did not even have sriracha or some other sort of hot sauce when I asked them for some to compensate for the blandness. The garlic chicken was well seasoned but it was tough and dry. It didn't really taste fresh or crispy like the pictures show. Dear Chowking Milpitas, I purchased my 1st halo halo from you this evening because I was told your establishment had one of the best. I am quite disappointed. There was no flan in my halo halo. I asked the employee for the flan to my halo halo and she said they don't put it in the halo halo...(what-the-heck?!?) booooo ya'll suck! $6 for halo halo & no flan?!? Review #202 - 2018 I'm honestly not sure why there were so many customers at 9:30 AM, when the food here was barely mediocre. My daughter and I were somewhat forced to eat here since we were at Atlas Shipping and the lady told us that she wouldn't process my transfer until 10 AM even though the place was already open for business. Since we had about 45 minutes to kill, I didn't want to drive anywhere so I just decided to find something simple to feed my daughter. She loves noodles and this place had pancit which looks similar to chow mein so I got her an order of that along with two pieces of fried chicken for myself. The noodles were plain & somewhat dry. It tasted like yesterday's left over that someone threw into the microwave. The chicken tasted ok, but the batter was super greasy. Okay, I love their Asado siopao here. Every time I'm in Concord, I pop in and get at least 6 of them good siopaos. So I was in the area today, and I decided to get some. I ordered a dozen today. 10 Asado and 10 Bolabola. I went to my son's baseball game after. Five hours later, I get home to discover they shorted me one siopao. Really???? How can you miss that one tray only contains 5? I guess my mistake for trusting that they would be able to get a simple order right and not checking before I left. read more

The fried chicken wasn't that good. You can't really go wrong with fried chicken, so it wasn't bad. Just not worthy of a repeat order, especially with the other fried chicken place right across the hall. I found it a bit too salty but otherwise bland. I did grab a bag of their frozen pork buns and enjoyed those quite a bit. Some pork buns have this weird ammonia flavor, or not enough meat to dough ratio, or too much fat in the meat. I would not recommend coming to this store. Had dinner with my family at concord chowking inside seafood city. Our bill was almost $40.00 which included a siopao. I asked for an extra siopao sauce but was told i had to pay extra $.10 . Ridiculous!! We are not hoarding the sauce. We just wanted to enjoy our filipino dinner but instead got ruined by Chow King policy of charging extra for a sauce that should be included anyway. DO NOT GO to this restaurant. The place seems pretty decent for a good meal. I tried ordering a Lauriat meal and trying to understand the prices. It seems that there's a extra charge for a bangus entree as I realized it and taking close at it early. I did asks the server about their prices. They process my order and got it. It would be nice to have an extra customer service clarifications of some price differences to the meals. When I got my order, I didn't get enough sauce on my meal and had the chance to asks for some when I return twice. Overall, I would recommend to have more customer service needs to customers. read more

Seeing all the one star reviews made me examine my experienced at this place closely. Well, I really had a very good dining experience so there's my rating in the sea of all the one star reviews. When I first moved to California from the East Coast I was so excited to try everything Filipino. I couldn't get enough of the food I grew up eating. So I would come to this shopping center in the beginning almost every day, sometimes even twice a day. I was just enamored by all the things that were so foreign to where I used to live. An old place where there's a lot of battlefields and people raging about the best burgers and steak in town. And Outback was the number one place even though you have to drive 30 minutes to get to one. Having been here multiple times, I'd say that the service and food are hit or miss. Sometimes your wait is long and sometimes not. Sometimes you like your food and sometimes not. I've also had an experience where they got my order wrong but the good thing about it was that when I called they were willing to correct it. I've also ordered something where the actual food didn't look like the picture or it just didn't taste good. It happens. This ain't a Michelin rated restaurant. This is a place where you could have a decent meal for $5.99 and it's fast. They serve breakfast combo all day. We got the bangus combo, consisting of a piece of fried marinated milkfish, longanisa, fried egg, and garlic fried rice. The rice portion was small. We also got pansit canton. The pansit was surprisingly delicious with some pieces of chicken and sliced seafood balls. The consistency of the noodle was just right. Not too soft nor too dry. This one was definitely a hit. Our total was about $12. The service was fast and attentive. The young guy at the counter was nice and responsive. He cleaned the tables right away as soon as the tables were emptied. There wasn't a lot of customers at the time of our visit. For fast, tasty, cheap, and delicious Filipino meal, I highly recommend. read more
