Kids swarming to order their Snow Cone!!!
    Bernadette L.

They are excellent! If your having a large party, this is a great alternative to having your own snow come with a jumper. Chris provides everything and comes in his own trailer. The kids and their parents just tell them what combo of flavors and he makes it in a few seconds. It was a BIG hit at my daughters birthday and kept our guests cool in the 100+ weather. Too bad he didn't have condense milk for one of the flavors - but he has tons of other flavors to chose from. Tigers blood flavor was a big FAV!

So I'm in the area and it's lunchtime, and I'm thinking I want something that really hits--but I…read morealso wanted a true mom-and-pop spot because I genuinely like supporting local businesses whenever I can. So I hop on Yelp, type in tacos, and bam... Rafa's Taco Truck pops up. The reviews had me thinking, ok... I might've just hit a home run. It was close to me, so I figured let's go check it out and see if the hype was real. I pull up and the truck is nestled right by a gas station, and honestly if you know, you know--sometimes those low-key spots end up having the best food. I ordered the taco plate with carne asada, rice, beans, and two Mexican Cokes because... why not go all in? Let me tell you, these tacos and that rice and beans played an important part of my day lol. One bite instantly took me back to those days of finishing a hard 3-mile run and rewarding myself with tacos after. That first bite just hit differently. The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and seasoned just right. The rice and beans were straight comfort food and completed the plate perfectly. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff was super hospitable, polite, and just genuinely welcoming. That matters to me just as much as good food. Great food always gets my attention, but good people are what make me want to come back. If you happen to see this truck, do yourself a favor and flag them down. Definitely worth the stop.

So. . . My dad and I were hanging out the other day and he asked me " Have you ever been to that…read moreMexican food truck over by the Shell gas station?" Why, no. No, I have it. So I decided to check it out later that day. My daughter and I arrived in the evening and it was freezing cold. The woman working in the truck wasn't very personable, but that could be because of the cold weather and it being towards the end of the day. I don't know. I ordered a shredded beef super burrito with everything, Carne Asada fries and two grilled chicken tacos. Total came out to approximately $37. I wasn't really tripping until I got home and checked out the Carne Asada fries. My burrito was very delicious and the green salsa that they give you is so good and the grilled chicken tacos were good but the Carne Asada fries weren't pleasing. The meat on the fries was seasoned well so it tasted good, but it was just fries at the bottom and then just like a thin layer of meat and cheese on the top. The meat and cheese to fry ratio was off in my opinion. Other than that, everything was great. You can order ahead of time and pick it up, which they are really quick about. When I was trying to figure out what I wanted, I heard the woman talking to a customer who was ordering by phone. The lady told her she could pick up her order in 10 minutes and it was ready very quickly, which is something I love. I'll definitely be back to get that super burrito and to try other things. The food was really good and I definitely recommend checking this truck out.

Food was decent overall…read more Pancit was decent. No complaints. It had a light flavor. I liked that it wasn't overly oily. Shrimp was plain. The chicken was a bit dry. Lumpia was delicious. Chicken skewer over rice - the broccoli needs some sort of seasoning. Or just steam. It was just too dry. Chicken was okay. Rice was rice. A little pricey for what you get. My biggest complaint would be the service. It was at a nearby business. And there were postings 11am to 2pm. Got there at 11. They weren't ready. The guy said come back in 20 or so minutes. Came back and he was starting to get ready. But while he's cooking and preparing, there's no one else to take orders. So it just stalls. That's probably my biggest problem is the poor planning. I appreciate the attempt to serve us all and being nice and friendly, but it impacts the experience. And I typically give food trucks a lot of grace.

I went to get a Lobster roll + whoopie pie (nothing else) and the total was $35! It IS delicious. Still thought it was worth it. It IS lobster, you can't expect it to be cheap like chicken or beef. Just be ware of that price hike. I know they have expenses to pay. I think this product is best in middle & upper class markets. Second thing is the worker wasn't proficient in English, so we went back and forth on Google Translate trying to understand each other for simple words like 'Cole slaw', 'on the side' & 'salad'. It was a frustrating experience plus a waste of company time! Time =$$! I would go back again when I am planning on spending that much. It IS the ONLY place I can find that sells Lobster rolls. However, that was probably the best part of the whole experience. We ordered 3 tacos and a burrito. The food overall just tasted WAY too salty. It was filling, but more salty than it needed to be. The solution would have been to order a drink, but the ones we sampled were WAY too sweet. Although the location is great in terms of exposure of customers, it's just way too close to the main road. There's one folding table underneath a canopy, but still really close to the road where loud vehicles are constantly being heard. Overall, this place was okay. I most likely wouldn't be coming back.
