The shaved ice was so good and it was a lot. My friend and I had some trouble finishing the shaved ice because we got so much and the service was amazing! I don't know her name, but she was very friendly and helpful. Having shaved ice while the sun was setting was certainly an enjoyable experience. My gps told me to turn into the front and seating area of this place which was a bit misleading, however there is ample parking space behind the truck. The shaved ice is so soft and there are a variety of flavors to choose from. I'll definitely try to come back again soon to beat the heat.

What a fun spot! Service was great, very nice guy! The shave ice is fire and the haupia cream? So good! Just like Maui! Mahalo nui!

They have shaved ice here and ice cream. We've gone to Hawai'i a couple of times and have been looking for great shaved ice like in Hawai'i. Saw an ad on Elk Grove Laguna Forums and decided to check it out since it had the word Hawai'i in it and shaved ice. It was very good with ice cream in the middle. Mine had lilikoi in it which I loved. There's a sweet cream or something on top that adds a nice touch. The service was great, the guy came out to personally ask us how it was and even offered us some stickers. The location is kinda weird as there is no parking and we had to park within the neighborhood. No worries but just weird for your first time going. Looking forward to coming back!

This new shaved ice truck is parked right in front of Maharani Indian restaurant. Super smart location for the nearby schools and library! Lucky for us it wasn't busy at all on a Monday afternoon. We were greeted by a super friendly worker and he helped us decide on sizing. We picked the Lulu Strawberries & Cream combination. It was equivalent to a medium size which was perfect for us to share. I guess the vanilla flavor was the blue, which wasn't too sweet surprisingly! The ice cream is buried but once you get to it, it's delicious. They have two covered tables so we were able to comfortably enjoy our dessert. I hope to come back soon so we can try more flavors!

We finally tried this place and loved it! The lady was super nice and helped us pick the right flavor based on our preference. She was also transparent about the sizes available. We had some fruit allergy concern and she was very accomodating. It could get crowded sometimes but we were able to find a seat right away. They also have a little sink to wash hands afterwards which was very thoughtful of them. Our toddler made a little mess so that sink surprisingly came in handy.

This place is nestled in a spot where it was meant to be. We passed by this little shop every day and kept saying we will stop here... Finally we did. Let's just say when it's a hot day of 106 degrees on a Sunday the evening time was the best time even still at 89 degrees outside. The service from the nice gentleman was great. He greeted us with a smile and answered our questions. We got a small Tiger blood and a large Mango and Red watermelon.. (yes red watermelon). It was very good, I liked the shaved ice that is fluffy ice and holds its ice mound with the flavors added. There are a couple of tables outside so it was a nice setting for a small area and you can enjoy your shaved ice. We will definitely be back. See pictures..

Great service and Great ice cream! The shave ice was too packed like a snow cone though. Hope to get fluffy smooth ice next visit!

We ordered a large Big Island Nectar with Macadamia Nut Ice Cream. The shaved ice was soft and the flavors were good. I would go back again. The guy working was friendly.

Absolutely delicious shaved ice. We went on a day when the ice cream was frozen solid so we got a soft serve and it he shaved Maui ice. Will definitely be back

So fire, I forgot to even take a picture of my food. It's so good we had over the rainbow. Great service as well. The sink on the side to wash sticky hands when you're done is a thoughtful touch.

Great place for shave ice. The shave ice is fluffy and is one of the best place I've found so far in Elk Grove.

One of the best shave ice in Elk Grove. Shave ice is fluffy similar to those in Hawaii.

So I hop on Yelp, type in tacos, and bam... Rafa's Taco Truck pops up. The reviews had me thinking, ok... I might've just hit a home run. It was close to me, so I figured let's go check it out and see if the hype was real. I pull up and the truck is nestled right by a gas station, and honestly if you know, you know--sometimes those low-key spots end up having the best food. I ordered the taco plate with carne asada, rice, beans, and two Mexican Cokes because... why not go all in? Let me tell you, these tacos and that rice and beans played an important part of my day lol. One bite instantly took me back to those days of finishing a hard 3-mile run and rewarding myself with tacos after. That first bite just hit differently. The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and seasoned just right. The rice and beans were straight comfort food and completed the plate perfectly. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff was super hospitable, polite, and just genuinely welcoming. That matters to me just as much as good food. Great food always gets my attention, but good people are what make me want to come back. If you happen to see this truck, do yourself a favor and flag them down. Definitely worth the stop.

So. . . My dad and I were hanging out the other day and he asked me " Have you ever been to that…read moreMexican food truck over by the Shell gas station?" Why, no. No, I have it. So I decided to check it out later that day. My daughter and I arrived in the evening and it was freezing cold. The woman working in the truck wasn't very personable, but that could be because of the cold weather and it being towards the end of the day. I don't know. I ordered a shredded beef super burrito with everything, Carne Asada fries and two grilled chicken tacos. Total came out to approximately $37. I wasn't really tripping until I got home and checked out the Carne Asada fries. My burrito was very delicious and the green salsa that they give you is so good and the grilled chicken tacos were good but the Carne Asada fries weren't pleasing. The meat on the fries was seasoned well so it tasted good, but it was just fries at the bottom and then just like a thin layer of meat and cheese on the top. The meat and cheese to fry ratio was off in my opinion. Other than that, everything was great. You can order ahead of time and pick it up, which they are really quick about. When I was trying to figure out what I wanted, I heard the woman talking to a customer who was ordering by phone. The lady told her she could pick up her order in 10 minutes and it was ready very quickly, which is something I love. I'll definitely be back to get that super burrito and to try other things. The food was really good and I definitely recommend checking this truck out.

Amazing... no, better than amazing!!…read more Whatever is above amazing -- that's what this is. I'm telling you now, I will not be getting hibachi anywhere else for a long time. My family has had them cater multiple gatherings, and every single time it's been the highlight of the event. And yes, the hibachi show is fun. Yes, the professionalism is solid. But let's be real -- it's the food that separates them. I know people say hibachi is hibachi, but trust me... it's not. I love hibachi, and this is on another level. It took me right back to the first time I fell in love with it -- the flavor, the texture, the way everything is cooked and seasoned. It just hits different. And here's my advice -- don't wait until you have a big event to experience it. Track down their truck and go get a plate for yourself. Just make sure you get there early because there will be a line, and they will sell out. Also, check their Instagram before you go. If they're booked for a catering event, they won't be out, and you'll be stuck settling for something that's just... not this. Go try it. Then come back and tell me I was wrong. I don't think you will.

The fried rice was well cooked and the chef even added extra eggs upon request. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. The chicken, shrimp, and steak were all tender and cooked to perfection. The yum yum sauce and garlic sauce also added an extra flavor profile to the dish. The chef and his assistant were very personable and involved the entire audience in the show. Cleanliness was an A+ as the chef cleaned the grill in between cooking dishes and even changed gloves when preparing the shrimp. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for some fresh and tasty food that also involves live entertainment!

Food was decent overall…read more Pancit was decent. No complaints. It had a light flavor. I liked that it wasn't overly oily. Shrimp was plain. The chicken was a bit dry. Lumpia was delicious. Chicken skewer over rice - the broccoli needs some sort of seasoning. Or just steam. It was just too dry. Chicken was okay. Rice was rice. A little pricey for what you get. My biggest complaint would be the service. It was at a nearby business. And there were postings 11am to 2pm. Got there at 11. They weren't ready. The guy said come back in 20 or so minutes. Came back and he was starting to get ready. But while he's cooking and preparing, there's no one else to take orders. So it just stalls. That's probably my biggest problem is the poor planning. I appreciate the attempt to serve us all and being nice and friendly, but it impacts the experience. And I typically give food trucks a lot of grace.
