    Cute, clean truck

This is an easy review! They had exactly what I wanted (blue raspberry, cherry, and lillikoi). They served it up quick as can be. They were super friendly and personable. I ate my shaved ice before my order was ready at the truck next to it LOL! For someone who wants more, they have all da fixins you could ask for! I hope they are back at our neighborhood food truck event next month!

My order: creamsicle (vanilla and orange), lilikoi & coconut Refreshing treat to a warm night out at a football game. The creamsicle flavor was most prominent, then lilikoi, and lastly coconut. First tart, then sweet. By the end of it, it was sugar water. I would totally get a mochi add on next time for some chewy goodness. The flavor list is extensive. You can choose up to three flavors. Snow cap (sweet condensed milk), sour spray and li ming hui powder are free.

Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville] Shave ice sounded so good when I stopped by the food trucks yesterday. Btw, on Hawaii Island, it's called shave ice--not "shaved ice". They served it like how they make it in Hawaii. The thinly shaved ice created a unique texture... like snow-like powder and syrup served in a bowl (or cup). The menu had many different flavors and we could choose up to 3 on either a regular ($5) or large size ($7). Eeny, meeny, miny, moe... I chose my 3 flavors -- Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, and Hawaiian P.O.G. (Passionfruit, Orange & Guava). Nom-nom-nom... definitely not snow cone which uses crushed ice. Mahalo! This brought back memories when I lived in Hawaii. I was in grade school and after school my siblings and I would go to the food truck and buy shave ice or Saimin LoL! Makes me long for the Islands. That was fun and yummy! Instagram: @LocalKineShaveIce Review #2617

My fav shaved ice in the area. Their shaved iced is literally the best. It's sooo soft, smooth and it melts in your mouth!!! Very comparable to the shaved ice you can get in Hawaii. When I had shaved iced in Hawaii it tasted just like local kines!!! Can't wait til it warms up and they're back around town!

They came for our work fun day. It has been a long time since I have had shaved ice and I was pleased with the selection of flavors. You were allowed three so i get my standby of cherry, grape, and cotton candy. I also liked the additional toppings of Mochi Bites! The large size was huge but that is what you get for $7 if going to a regular venue. Work paid for us of course. Friendly service. Wait time was reasonable. Very much enjoyed my experience!

Best shave ice on the main land!! Great flavors! You've got to try it with ice cream and the snow cap, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent shave ice! In fact, the best shave ice in the Sacramento area that I have had since my days in Hawaii. There are many delicious flavors to choose from such as bubblegum, mango, cherry, tiger's blood, blue raspberry and blue Hawaii. There are combos to choose from as well as toppings for your shave ice. One great thing they do is offer free li hing mui powder, free snow cap and free sour spray to your shave ice. Please follow Local Kine Shave Ice on social media such as Instagram to see where they will have their truck next. If you love shave ice, please check out Local Kine Shave Ice. You will not regret it.

And the azuki beans are on the bottom which makes it even more betta

Oh boy what a pleasant surprise at the Food in the Hood event at Morse Park today! This shaved ice is da bomb! Okay I'm biased as I walked to this event (half mailed at 5pm so I worked up a sweat) but so worth it as the ice was shaved fine, like the kind for Taiwan Shaved Ice, and a small which was pretty big- 5" cup with a choice of up 3 flavors. I added Azuki beans, so its healthy. Was tempted to add a scoop of ice cream too...well next time. Please come back to Elk Grove so we all can cool off and try more flavors!

POG, Melona, banana shaved ice with ube snow cap

If you want Hawaiian style shaved ice, this is the place (well, food truck) to get it. I hate when places sell shaved ice and it's the chunkiest ice ever. True Hawaiian shaved ice should melt in your mouth the moment you take a bite! Whenever I'm in the mood for shaved ice, I always get it from Local Kine because they never disappoint! I also love the variety of flavors they offer. I try to get something new every time but I just love the POG flavor so that's always a must. Melona is also a super yummy alternative to the usual watermelon. I always get vanilla ice cream inside too - trust me it's a game changer (think Gunther's 50/50!). My husband loves getting a snow cap (condensed milk) but on my most recent visit, they had a special ube snow cap available so I added that on and it was delicious - truly tasted like ube! Thanks Local Kine for bringing the taste of the islands here to the mainland!

Not really into shaved ice but wow, I'm glad I tried out this place. They have lots of flavors - the combinations are endless. They all sound so good, and the rainbow colored ice are so pretty. Boyfriend and I shared a large Tiger's Blood (watermelon, strawberry, coconut) with snow cap (condensed milk drizzle). So yummy...I should've gotten my own. To think we're paying $7 just for ice and syrup, it was a delicious treat on a hot day. I hope they come to my neighborhood again so I can try some more flavors. The food truck is cute and has a Hawaiian theme. Staff are hard-working and nice! The wait time wasn't that long but there was quite a line. I wish they had employee specials/favorites since they may know what's the best mix of flavors. Support local businesses!

Super tasty with great flavors and toppings! So rare to find good legit hawaiian shave ice around here. Absolutely going to be ordering again!

This led us to Bingsu Tea in Natomas on Del Paso Rd. This shop has plenty of parking as it's a pretty big shopping center that it shares with many other businesses. When you walk in,the shop has the cutest interior design, little tables on the right side of the store, cute little design touches on the left. Ordering is mostly handled by two kiosks on the left. Menu is pretty lengthy but since we came here just for the Bingsu dessert dish,it wasn't too tough to decide. I've been here two times now and both times I got a Bingsu dessert dish. The 1st time we got a Oreo version and the 2nd time we got the Strawberry Mango version. Each ran about $14.30 I'm a little out of my element when to comes to this dessert as I'd never had them before but I will tell you this, both versions were excellent. Not too sweet, which was a surprise, the ice cream and the shaved ice on the bottom worked together flawlessly.A drizzle of condensed milk added a nice touch and enhanced the flavor profile. Between the two I think I preferred the strawberry-mango version but it's really close both were really high level. The Oreo version definitely hit right if you're in the mood for chocolate sweetness. The desserts are big enough to share-we shared with 2 people on the Oreo and 3 people on the strawberry version. In closing, I 100% recommend this shop if you're ever in the Natomas area and want to try out a pretty unique dessert experience-I'm sure you will enjoy it.

That guava cloud is thicc and velvety, full of guava flavor. It paired beautifully with the floral notes of Jasmine tea. I would definitely return for this. Taro paradise milk tea supposedly uses real taro, but my Asian mother said there wasn't enough of it in the drink, making the taro flavor light and diluted from the milk. I cannot vouch for the quality of this beverage, but it's a bit disappointing to hear it fell short. Strawberry smoothie was a hit and my grandpa happily finished it all. He's not easy to win over so imagine my surprise when he reported that it was a really good drink. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the bingsu despite it being such a hot day, but this won't be our last visit. We will return for more!

Unfortunately, the service didn't match my expectations. After waiting in line, the woman at the register finished helping the customer ahead of me, then walked away without acknowledging me. I stood there for a bit until a young man noticed and kindly stepped in to take my order. I really appreciated his attentiveness and friendliness. While waiting for my two hibiscus lychee green teas, I noticed some confusion behind the counter. The employee preparing the drinks couldn't find the green tea and had to keep asking the same woman for help. She eventually took over, but the drinks didn't taste right. There was no green tea flavor, or lychee only hibiscus (I'm not saying she didn't add it, it didn't taste like it.) Honestly, the bigger issue for me was the lack of customer service. The previous location I used to visit always felt welcoming, so this was disappointing. A simple acknowledgment like "I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. That said, I DO want to give credit to the employee who stepped in and helped me--he was polite and attentive. As for the woman with short hair, I hope she works on her customer service approach. I may come back to try the ice cream since I think it's Gunther's and that's always a safe tasty choice, but I likely won't be ordering the iced teas again. March 18,2026 @6:58ish pm

The bingsoo was good, the only thing I didn't like was the mochi was pretty hard. Great serving size and easy to share with another; I definitely wouldn't be able to finish it myself.
