I've been dealing with an awful restoration project due to a sink leak in the bathroom connected to my bedroom for over a month. The awful restoration company said their plumber refuses to come back. Well good, I don't want them back anyways. Even more hilarious, they said no plumber wants to come to reinstall my toilet and change out the faucet. Umm no one? Sure dude, let me take care of this myself. I put out an inquiry on yelper for estimates and received many within the hour. Kody with Prolific Plumbing was the first to reach out to me, AND they provided the most competitive flat rate estimate for reinstalling my toilet and replacing the damaged faucet. He was so kind, and he reassured me that his team were all respectful folks so I don't have to worry about the trauma of my prior experiences. They have been doing so well for themselves they have relied on word of mouth to spread their business, and they've even been able to expand. That's definitely an indicator of success. Kody is so honest, he was coaching me on buying a faucet myself at home depot or lowes to save myself some money on the overall job. While I was at home depot, I was even texting him about the brands they had available with the single handle single hole style that would be the easiest one for one swap with my current set up. The available brands were not reputable so Kody told me about how home depot has a free one day delivery service if I found one I liked online. Great pro tip! So much assistance even before we committed to moving forward with his company. It was a weight taken off my soul, especially since I had been dealing with this horrific issue for over a month now. Initially, I called them to replace my water heater. We had to replace cartridges in both showers because there was no cold water. We needed to get the water softener restarted after no use for several years due to bad leak. We replaced a shower head and handle cover. We also replaced a sink and other minor things. Kody knew more than two previous plumbers. One of the other plumbers wanted us to pay 4x as much to go into the wall and replace the valve because he couldn't get the cartridges out due to minerals from the water. Kody was able to remove both of the cartridges. Another plumber replaced the flex piping on our water softener with the wrong type of flex piping which caused bad leaks and required use to bypass the softener. Kody identified the improper piping, installed the correct flex piping, and our water softener has been working great for two weeks with no leaking. His knowledge and experience is excellent and makes a huge difference. His pricing was very good also and he has a positive, friendly attitude. We got an excellent service from Kody. He did a great job fixing my broken pipe in the bathtub and they cleaned up really well after finishing the job. He arrived ahead of the time window he gave me, and very professional in his communication and in the way he conducted himself. His pricing was very competitive too. I broke the pipe in my bathtub faucet when i tried replacing the faucet. The thread on the pipe got corroded really bad, and the soft copper pipe broke off when i tried getting the faucet off the wall. I contacted 6 plumbers ,and Kody is the only one who gave me a quote based on the picture I've shown to him. All the others won't quote me unless they come in and see it in person. He told me on the phone a couple of ways he can fix it, and the price for each of those 2 options. I was impressed how knowledgeable he was. Don't let anyone talk you into paying just to give you a quote. There was even one plumber who came to my house and proposed to break off the tile from the front instead of cutting a hole in the drywall at the back, and gave me a ludicrous estimate for the cost. He also cares a lot about his customers. I bought a cheap faucet from Home Depot as a replacement, but Kody told me that what I bought is not good and advised me to return it. He has a better one with him, for the same price as what I got at Home Depot. He charged me the same amount as the one i got from Home Depot ($15).
