Went there with big group. The service was awful. We had 20+ people and one server. She was bringing on drink over at a time. Tables around us had their orders taken faster, received their food faster. The inefficiency was very TSA like. Finally someone up the chain took over and the pace improved but the overall experience was not good. Wife had cold sweet potato fries. And they were undercooked. My shrimp was ok. Oysters were iffy. It took 3 hrs for our dinner to finish and at least 90 min of that was waiting for bar food. Our compensation was a round of beers. Would have preferred 20% off the bill. Appetizers came out at the same time as the meal. Zero pacing. They have good TV set up and the bartenders seem quite efficient. Table service was brutal. Maybe an off night but too many good options within 12 feet of this place to go back. Disappointed as their menu was solid. I came in to Christian's Tailgate to watch a UFC fight and I had a great time. First off there was no cover for the fight which in many places there is. The waitress was nice and helpful and the food and drinks were really good. I had some mango habanero wings and the sauce was great. I had a couple mixed drinks and they were good. We have been going here for Ohio State football games for this season, and I can't say the service has always been great. It hasn't. Saturday, however, was a horrible experience. Some of our friends may not be back after this. First, the place is usually packed on gameday, but it really wasn't that busy on this day. However, we had the worst service ever. Orders were ignored. Drinks were not refilled. We had to remind our server several times to bring our drink and food orders. A frozen margarita was brought to our table (not ours), and was placed in front of a minor. (a seventeen year old who, yes, looks under 21). The thing that really was disturbing was that, of a table of several people on different checks, the only couple who were asked to hand over their credit card to start a tab (this has never happened here, starting a tab at a table) was the non-white couple. Coincidence? I hope it was. I hope there was no racial profiling. I really do, and I don't make these accusations likely. It was very shocking, however, that the same server for all of us only asked them for a credit card to keep on file. We are looking for other bars in Houston to watch Ohio State games, and I am pretty sure the couple who had to start a tab will never be back to your locations. I'm hoping they are asking more questions of management, but I can't speak for them other than what they told me this weekend. read more

I've been going to this location since it opened and it's been an awesome spot for my family and I to hangout and get some food and drinks. I frequent this spot on a regular basis and consider it to be in my top five. That is until last night happened. One of the owners came in and was a total tool. He comes in yelling at employees and running around the bar like bat out of hell. Now the main issue lies within the karaoke that I specifically go there for on the weekends. Again, I go here for karaoke all the time and have suggested it to many of my friends. But last night as I was singing what was probably the most subtle rock song on the planet, the owner comes up to the stage and takes a picture of the name of the song and proceeds to tell the KJ that no rock music is allowed. Mind you, I've been singing rock music there for the longest and have never had an issue. When I returned to the KJ to put in a request, he tells me ALL of the things the owner had just forbid in that moment. So I was only stuck with country. So if you like karaoke and are thinking about going there for it, I would say HELL NO. You're only gonna be able to sing country, R&B and Frank Sinatra apparently. And if he's in the room might as well pack up and leave. It was completely rude and ruined my wife's and I night. Called these guys at 6 to see if we could get our team (30 folks) in for dinner at 7:30. We wanted to watch some college games and have dinner. Totally accommodated us. Service was not perfect, but we had a ton of people! The folks waiting on us did a wonderful job. Food was better than expected. Salad was really good as was the salsa and chicken jalapeño sliders. Came here knowing it was the new location of the chain and was blown away!!! I compare from the location in midtown and this was is a lot better! Service was great we sat at the bar and Christian at the bar went above and beyond to take care of us! I recommend to get the Buffalo chicken wrap off menu it was so good! Went there last weekend for the Rocket's game. It was crowded, but waited almost 30 min for a drink at the bar. It was only 1 line deep so we had our hands on the bar. Both bartenders walked past us many times without acknowledging us. I saw 1 other customer order, drink and order again while we were waiting. If you ever decide to come here and sit at the bar, DO NOT STAY IF IT IS A YOUNG BRUNETTE BARTENDER unless you want to be treated poorly. Before my last visit here, I would be giving this place at least 4 stars. The last visit was on Saturday June 1st and had the worst bartender experience ever! We walked in around 10 and as we sat at the bar, the young female bartender let us know the place will be closing at 11, which was okay because we came in to pregame and watch the Astros with the $3 shot menu... She was already rude about us staying. She got us our drinks and without asking if we would be wanting anything else handed us a check. Now this is where things started to go way down hill.. She completely ignored us the whole time and then around 10:30 when she finally came near our side of the bar and while she was making other peoples drinks I quickly asked her for a refill so I would not lose her while she was near. Well... she said she already did last call... I explained to her, she never informed us or anyone around us and that she just got a drink order from the man sitting 2 seats down not 5 seconds ago. She then just shrugged and ignored us. Such a shame because Ive always had a wonderful experince here and came very often. I probably will not be coming back for a while. Ive been to many bars around closing times and no matter what they have always came up and let me know it was last call and asked for any last drink orders. While in Houston we visited Christians's several times. The service is excellent the bartender and Mauricio made sure we were taken care of as soon as we walked in. Nowait time for a drink, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is light and this is a fun place to hang out. The staff and owners all should be proud of the food they provide and the service you receive once you walk through the door. Don't miss out and not stop in at this fun place. MEH, Sliders were... alright, came here for a quick eat on a slow weekday, yet our tab came out to be $60+ with 1 order of sliders and two cocktails. I have a few friends that seem to end up here every weekend, so one weekend I decided to join. When I first walked in, I was pretty impressed. Large space, ample tap handles and a decent looking food menu. However, upon my first beer I was a little skeptical. I ordered a Love Street and it was very flat and not overly cold (nothing grosses me out more than a flat, warm beer). Then we decided to order food. I ordered a taco and my boyfriend ordered an entree ( can't remember which one) and it came with macaroni. My taco wasn't terrible (not great) but I was completely alarmed at the size. It had to have been 3 inches. I guess for $3, you pay per inch. So, with that being said, I decided to try my boyfriends macaroni. Macaroni is either really good or really bland. Apparently, there is another category; Carnival Cheese Macaroni. Eeewww. You know the cheese that you get on nachos at baseball games or carnivals?? Well that is exactly what was on this macaroni. It was awful. After a warm, flat beer, a non existent taco, and carnival cheese macaroni, I was done. At least the atmosphere was good??? read more

Came here for UFC fights on Saturday night. They may be understaffed as our server seemed to be working half the restaurant. The fried pickles were good and a generous amount, the steak quesadillas were decent although pretty greasy, and the heart attack fries were pretty underwhelming. I ordered the Acapulco chicken w creamed corn and mashed potatoes. It was almost ok except the corn tasted like it came right out of a can. Also apparently you're allowed to smoke outside on the patio but since there are giant garage style doors all along the front the smoke carries right inside to where you're eating. The first time and only time that I've been to this establishment and it will be my last. The atmosphere was OK not many people there they charge a $10 cover just to dine in and buy drinks on top of that the music and band was awful and I thought this would be the end of my experience. After dealing with bartenders that hey bad customer service not approachable not professional in anyway. I think that all the bartenders and restaurant staff had some love triangle going on it was a lot of touchy-feely throughout the night between the all. We paid for our drinks and food and left then I thought I'm never going there again. Three days later I noticed additional charges on my card from the same place and I wasn't there. So apparently at investigating with my bank Kristin tailgate on Kirby copy my card and proceed to make additional charges for whomever's meals and drinks.
