We sat outside on a really pretty day so that was a plus-- but we got two Moscow Myles that had a funky after taste to them-- not sure which ginger beer they use but my boyfriend and I weren't fans. We had the brisket quesadilla, the artichoke dip, and the tortilla soup. Brisket quesadilla was pretty greasy(not like a usual dilla greasy but it was dripping onto our plates greasy). The artichoke dip was actually really good so if you want a good app get this! We were starving and no one ever came over to ask about food .. let alone GREET US. The woman who was supposed to be our server stood the whole time talking to her table of friends.. never acknowledged us...didn't even get a cocktail napkin ... and perhaps the most offensive part of our experience.. the unedited rap music with the N-word threaded throughout... made me as a black woman feel really welcome! Terrible experience. We went for a UFC fight and sat at an open table (we were told it was open seating) and waited for our server. My friend kindly asked one of the waitresses if she was the one serving that section and she replied "yes, sit" without even making eye contact. She never once came to our table again despite us being there for an hour (we got drinks at the bar). She served the tables around us multiple times. I can't help but think it was racially motivated (my entire party was Indian). At the end of the day, all she did was take take money from herself. Wouldn't recommend this place anyway. I wasn't going to post anything but after reading other reviews where people have been miss-treated and kicked out of Christie's bar for no reason, I felt compelled to speak about my recent experience on Saturday, March 12th. First, let me start by saying I have never, ever experienced anything like this in my life. Saturday night I was with a group of 5-6 friends and when we arrived we went right upstairs onto the balcony and pretty much stayed there most of the evening. At one point of of my friends, who was Mexican, wanted to buy the entire group shots but the upstairs bar couldn't do it for some reason. So I went with him to the downstairs bar to help him. We ordered the shots, we took ours, then between the two of us walked back upstairs with the shots and handed them out to our friends. All good. Maybe 5 minutes later I was looking for my friend, who I came with, and saw she was downstairs at the end of the bar by herself. So I made my way downstairs to her, perfectly fine, nothing happened. When I made it through the crowd to where she was, she was gone (of course, my luck). I look around and look up to where I was orginally and of course she is upstairs now. So I made my way back to the stairs, again nothing happened- all normal. I take 2 steps up the stairs and a man stops me and tells me I have to get out. I turn my head because I notice the guy was looking at someone behind me, I was in shock..  I thought he was talking to someone else. When I turn my head there is a guy behind me and he told me I need to get out. I look over his shoulder there are 2 big bouncer guys behind him looking at me, ready to bounce me. I replied... what, what do you mean, what? The guys response was, "I have been watching you for 30 minutes!" My response was what, what does that mean..  before I could finish my sentence my tall, blonde friend (who I was looking for) came down the stairs and started speaking with them. Next thing I know she is going back and forth with the guy, a lady out of nowhere gets involved and my friend tells me to go upstairs. At this point I'm so confused, embarrassed, pissed, enraged and in complete disbelief. I am now watching my friend from upstairs plead my case (when there was no case) for 5 minutes. Eventually she makes her way upstairs and says nothing to worry about. That the guy trying to kick me out is the owner and he is very drunk. That his wife got involved and you can tell by the way she handled him and this situation, that this was not the first time. Still dosen't make being treated this way okay, it is not an excuse. Either way, I have never been so upset. I was treated like a criminal... they made a spectacle of me for no reason other than the owner decided to target me. Now why he targeted me, I will never know but knowing I did nothing to warrant any of this my mind can only go to discrimination, bias and/or being a victim of his drunken bullying. After reading past posts... now I'm thinking it's because I didn't purchase anything at his bar... especially if he was "watching me" for 30 minutes. Personally that is creepy and definitely tells me that he targets specific people. This guy should not own a bar or needs to be a silent owner because his behavior is giving that area a bad name. I will never, ever go back to this place and I highly suggest people take their business elsewhere. To businesses that appreciate and value customers. Not a place that abuses their authority just because. I have never been kicked out or told to get out of anywhere in my 39 years. I respect businesses and people around me, I have a family bar/restaurant. I understand how hard this industry is. Thanks to this experience I am now a little jadded and now question peoples motives in a way, I never wanted too. read more

The pizza/food here use to be good. What happened? Chips and salsa were really bad, but the pizza was terrible. After sitting for awhile we asked our waitress where the chips and salsa were and she admitted, "o I forgot to put it in." A dos X was $6.50, so not really reasonably priced either and like others mention, there is a card fee on top of it all. I wouldn't mind all of that if the food was half way decent. Go to Henderson Tap house if you're looking for a place to watch a fight; they have good pizza/service. read more

This is me and my friends go to spot when we're in uptown and want to grab some food! Just about everything on the menu is good! My absolute favorite is the quesadillas, and you have the option chicken, brisket or ground beef. But I always go ground beef! Food is amazing but the service is subpar. What a joke of an establishment. Horribly ran from top to bottom. $10 cover just to get into an overcapacity bar where there weren't enough bartenders or service staff. One of the door guys was bought a beer by one of the patrons who got to cut the line said "See what happens when y'all take care of me?" Just embarrassing. Won't be back. Unable to get reasonable Cowboys tickets (even though that was the main reason I was in town), I sought a good sports bar. Yelp returned Christie's as the first result, and a local suggested it as well. I'm not sure anything could have compared downtown in terms of the atmosphere. Tons of TVs. NFL ticket to get you all the games, but with the Cowboys game naturally dominating the audio. The food was also surprisingly good. We opted for the wings and shrimp cocktail. The wings were perhaps a bit undersized and served with what tasted like the standard Frank's hot, but the shrimp cocktail were delicious all by themselves. They didn't even need the clumpy, apparently dry cocktail sauce. It's almost as if they were marinated in something I can't quite put my finger on. And the size too ... these bad boys were big. The service was also quite good. The only thing I didn't care for was my server turning my can upside down in my pint glass, leaving the outside of the can submerged in my beer along with whatever mouse or rat droppings might have accumulated on that can in its dustribution chain. Moral of the story: if you're asked if you want a glass and you say yes, ask for it on the side. Also, bring your jackets, especially if you sit in the middle of the dining room. You'll be right under the AC vents but at least your beer won't go warm. read more

I actually like Christie's...but only for watching sports (obviously). It's your classic pish posh sport bar. I've watched FB and BB games here and I always have a good time. The servers are very independent, meaning...not always around and sometimes its like pulling teeth to get their attention. However, my friends and I went there to catch our alma mater game and when we got there, we saw they they were not showing it. So BF asked the mgr if they could turn it on...so he did. Good call on his part, cause we were there for a long time and ordered lots of booze and food. The manager was really accommodating and easy going. It's somewhat of a dimly lit place and can get REALLY noisy. The patio is really nice when its not snowing outside. I've had their burgers and I have to say, not bad, not bad. They are juicy and messy (just the way a good burger should be). No soggi-ness and full of yummy goodness. I've had the BBQ burger and just your plain ole' fashion Cheeseburger. Their spinach dip is good...its served with a plethora of flat breads, chips and other stuff. Really wasn't sure where to start. They also have some good vegetarian options for those who stay away from meat. Just FYI...this is the main TCU watching venue over Football season. So if you plan on going to Christies and there is a TCU game on. You need to go either UBER early or go someplace else if you're not a TCU fan. Tons and TONS of TV's...3 ENORMOUS screens and basically another TV every 3 ft. You shouldn't be scared not to have a good view of any TV. Trust. Full bar. Full menu. Loud, drunk, obnoxious fans. And just so you know we don't provide the sodas, the delivery company does, so they forgot it and that's why they refunded it. I wish more people would just pick up the phone and call the establishment directly and complain to get things fixed. Everyone makes mistakes and we obviously didn't have a good showing with you, but to go straight to social media without giving us a chance to make it correct just seems petty. We are so excited that Christie's is back in business at this new location! We had a group of 4 and dined here on opening weekend. Our service was slow but friendly (assuming the delay was due to the opening weekend crowd), and the new location is well appointed and clean. I opened a tab this Saturday afternoon and they gave me the wrong credit card and kept mine. I have reached out to give them the name of the place that has the card they mistakenly gave me multiple times per day and have even exchanged texts with the person who handles their reservations to get mine back as well. I have been told numerous times that management is going to reach out the next day and still have yet to hear from anyone. Why 4 stars? Because it's deceivingly pretty good. --- --- --- Christie's has all the characteristics of a place I would hate. From a distance, or even up close, it appears to be an over-crowded bar full of typical sports bar food, and a minuscule selection of beer. While the selection of beer is far from great, there are at least a few more choices available than just Bud/Miller/Coors. The Awesome Chicken Tenders actually lived up to the name. I expected a 2 or 3 star level meal, but these were definitely better than most. The bartenders were totally mobbed all night, but they were able to remain quite attentive & friendly toward myself and my party. I walked out fairly shocked. When I visit Dallas, my friends always take me here, and the most recent time I figured my night was going to be fairly miserable. Come here to watch a big game....they have so many TVs at every angle and the volume cranked up for the game of the day. I came here to watch the Stanley Cup and NBA playoffs and it was great being there with a nice crowd cheering and enjoying the game, and less intimidating than the surrounding bars/pubs in Uptown which either have less seating or fewer TVs with good viewing options. I didn't try the food, but it looked like standard sports bar food grub based on the tables around me. The only complaint I have is that the draft beer list is pretty limited with lots of macro beers and only a handful of craft beers on draft, but they make up for it in a decent bottle selection. They should get some more southern craft beers to fill out their menu. Wait staff were friendly and efficient and work hard. read more

Best bar in dallas by far. Jordan and the other Bartenders are awesome and great people to talk to. The hot wings are some of the best in dallas as well. This is a perfect place to just hang out with friends or even coming in by yourself. Not to mention that they show the ufc and bellator fights.
