I don't buy donuts often so I often scour Yelp for best donuts when I need to buy them for work. Christy's has always been pretty solid with friendly service, fresh donuts and easy parking. Prices have gone up a few bucks since the pandemic. The iced coffee is a great deal at $3.75 for a large. It is sweeten with milk and strong--similar to a Vietnamese coffee.

Service top notch. Busy but fast. Strong iced coffee was just that. Strong but on the sweeter side. Croissants were buttery and flakey loved the cream cheese ratio as well. Jalapeno ham and cheese is spicy, flaky and delicious. Donut holes are sweet and delicious. Fluffy and light.

I was very impressed with the croissant. They asked if I wanted the sweet or the not-sweet cream cheese croissant. I opted for the not-sweet croissant which was toasted and loaded with cream cheese. Simple but very delicious... it was so flaky and buttery. We ordered the iced coffee. I thought I was getting black iced coffee which wasn't the case - it had condensed milk.

I was in the area and had been craving a donut. I was so happy that Christy's was still open at around 2:30 pm. They didn't have a ton of donuts left but they did have enough for me to make a choice different from my usual apple fritter. I decided to get the crumb raised donut and a blueberry buttermilk. I got my husband his usual cinnamon roll. The crumb donut was absolutely delicious and fresh. My husband said the cinnamon roll was good as well. I can't wait to eat the blueberry buttermilk for dessert. I'm positive it's going to be fantastic. Service was very friendly, she even threw in a free donut which I appreciate very much. Prices were very reasonable and the place was clean. They also have coffee drinks and sandwiches on the menu.

I decided to try Christy's as my (previous) donut shop for decades changed owners. I am so glad this establishment is here. Sedate is the sweetest. So welcoming and happy to see you. I feel like he truly values every customer that walks in the door. He and his wife Moli are the epitome of friendliness. Their donuts are good but I go for the jalapeño croissant with turkey and cheese. It is much larger than expected. The turkey is placed in the middle of the croissant with a few jalapeños sprinkled within the croissant. It could use a few more but if you don't want too much zing, you should be fine. My mom love their blueberry cake donut. I like to order a Vietnamese iced coffee to drink afterwards. The Vietnamese iced coffee is sweeter and not as bold as the iced coffee though both are delicious. Since I enjoy sweet drinks, I prefer the Vietnamese version. I learned to not drink either after 12 pm or I won't be able to sleep that night. I usually end up drinking one over the course of two or three days. Christy's is located in Serra Mesa on Aero Drive directly across the street from Montgomery Field. They have long hours of operation - Saturday & Sunday 6 am - 7 pm, Monday through Friday 5 am - 8 pm. I will keep coming back to support local mom and pop shops like this one. They are the heart of the community.

I dropped by to pick up a dozen donuts for my coworkers. The lady at the counter was welcoming, super sweet, and so helpful. All the donuts looked amazing so I asked her to pick the flavors. I ordered the "strong iced coffee" and it is strong as promised and very tasty! I will definitely be back.

Christy's is my friend's favorite place to get donuts! She bought a dozen and they are generous, so they gave a few extra. When we met up, she gave me a maple bar donut to try. It was soft and really yummy! I'll have to to try their chocolate covered donuts next time!

Christy's Donuts is a small, yet friendly shop off of Aero Dr that also sells sandwiches. I came here sometime after lunch on a weekday to try a couple of their donuts. At the time of day I arrived, not much were left, however, I was more than happy to come out with a cinnamon donut and a raspberry donut. The owner also threw in another extra donut on the house. What I like about the donuts here is that they don't leave a weird metallic chemical aftertaste like the ones from the big franchised donut shops (hint: Dunkin' Donuts). Christy's Donuts had a nice balance of flavor and sweetness. I surprisingly liked the extra donut I got even though I have no idea what it's called. It tasted exactly like the Hostess crunch flavored "Donettes", but with a lightly maple glaze and nuts topping. Overall, I thought all the donuts I had were pretty good. Probably even better if I came here in the morning. I'll definitely be back!

Brought kids and a picky husband here for a weekend morning treat. They had lots of colorful options for the kids to pick from (which we appreciated!). My husband said this was the best ham and cheese croissant he's ever had, had two types of cheese inside and very fluffy. Only $2.50 for a decent sized iced coffee (it's sweetened btw!) Also a cool spot to see the planes at the small airport.

For a company that markets itself as "premium" and "clean," that doesn't really match the image they're selling. The more I ate them, the worse I felt afterward, which eventually led me to look into the ingredients. Once I found out they use palm oil, it made a lot more sense why they never seemed to sit well with me. I understand everyone's body is different, but for me, it's the main reason I stopped going. If they ever switch to a better oil, I'd definitely be willing to give them another try. That said, the service is amazing and the staff has always been friendly.

This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...
