Keep your eyes peeled for promos on their social media - lots of opportunities to get a good deal
    Laura G.

Part of Sto Lat, so you can eat dinner and then walk over to the bakery to drool over what dessert you want to take home. Follow them on social media because they often have deals (e.g. Name of the Day, BOGO promos) on their sweets. You have to try the Polish staples - plazek, poppyseed roll, and obviously their chrusciki. This last time I had their cheesecake and I just wish it was creamier; however, I loved the crust, which wasn't overly sweet. I will definitely come back to the restaurant and I'm sure my sweet tooth will take me to the bakery.

Midweek at lunchtime, not very busy, and the person behind the counter was very knowledgeable. In addition to sweets, there's multiple coffee/ chai/ lattes/ espressos available. It's a great place for friends, neighbors, and steering committees to meet up and spend time together.

Stopped by again for dessert to go with my friend after we had dinner at Sto Lat. I really wanted another iced latte but without the caffeine as it was so late, and she was able to make it decaf - this time I got the hazelnut sticky toffee with oat milk ... it was also very good! I grabbed a lemon crumb bar as well. I love that this bakery has generous portions. You can share if you like or have it all for yourself! Lastly, the owner was very very kind who we spoke with briefly. And I left with a mini Go Bills cake for tomorrow's big game! I cannot wait to dig into it as I know it is going to be great!

Stopped in here while I was out to grab some dessert for dinner! I was over by Eastern Hills and really wanted something to treat myself. Look no further than the fan favorite of this spot: the White Almond Raspberry cake. These slices were HUGE and only $5 each. You can't go wrong with these. I could barely finish mine. The frosting is so light and fluffy. The cake is perfect for the raspberry filling. Put it all together and the slice is perfection. It has good flavor in every bite and can fill you up just as much as the dinner beforehand. They have so many good treats in the bakery, so you really can't go wrong

Total hidden gem. I found this place while I was driving by, and ended up stopping for a quick lunch. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, definitely an upscale/modern vibe. You could the place was hand curated and well thought out. The bakery is a good size, with a huge selection of different pastries, that looked so good that I had to grab a macaroon on the way out. Their lunch menu was very limited with only 5-6 items. I ended up getting the roasted pear salad but substituted for goat cheese and no prosciutto. The salad was exactly what I was looking for, light, high quality, and tasty. I was honestly shocked it wasn't more busy when I walked in because everything looked and tasted so good and the prices weren't crazy. My salad was $12 but that's pretty much the standard rate nowadays. I'd say the pricing across the board were very standard and what you would expect. Not super expensive, but not dirt cheap. The quality though is what stuck out about everything. The macaroon I ended up getting was legitimately the best one i've ever had. I haven't had a ton of macaroons, but you could tell it was handmade. If you have a sweet tooth I'd definitely recommend coming here. All in all, a complete hidden gem that more people should know about.

Very tasty baked goods!! The name of the day on social media for a free treat was my husband's, and he normally doesn't go, but I mentioned how it is mother's day weekend after all and I wouldn't hate treats, so he went!! The free treat was the white almond raspberry swirl cake, and it was great!! The cake was a smidge on the dry side but it's probably more to do with it being presliced and stored in containers than anything else. The raspberry cream was perfect and the icing on top was just how I like it, thick and sweet!! You have to purchase something to get the free cake so my husband also bought a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate mousse cake. The cookie was thick and soft and full of chocolate, which is perfect in my opinion. The mousse cake was pretty good, with chocolate cake on the bottom, topped with a thick vanilla mousse and then chocolate ganache. All the parts were delicious, I just thought it would a little better if the toppings were more evenly distributed and not just on top. Otherwise, no notes! I'd definitely go here again because overall, everything was really good!

Huge assortment of baked goods and dessert. So far I've only tried the macarons which are double the size of macarons elsewhere, but about the same price. The texture holds up surprisingly well for the size. It's a pretty space with high ceilings they share with a bar that serves food. Service is prompt and friendly. I'll be back.

Glazed Black Raspberry Pączki. $6.50 for two. Happy 'Tłusty Czwartek'/Fat Thursday. Bad spelling, it should be 'Pączki' not 'Paczki'.
    Anna W.

Did you know, on Fat Thursday in Poland, an average of 100 million 'pączków' are eaten every year?! It's 2.5 'pączek' per one Pole! It's a tradition almost everyone follows and I'm not surprised why:). Plus, there is a superstition that whoever does not eat a 'pączek' on Fat Thursday will not be successful in life for the next year. Ouch! I was positively sure Chruściki Bakery would provide enough traditional types of 'pączki' on Fat Thursday, with plums and rose filling. I was wrong. They were out of my favorite kinds. Instead we got triple portions of bad black gooey raspberry jelly. It practically ruined everything. Not anymore. Hopefully next year we'll be able to travel to Canada and eat real 'pączki', or keep searching around. One more thing, why do most of the baked goods at Chruściki Bakery not have a price on them? You shouldn't have to ask.

Almond Raspberry Cake slice: Sooo moist, I loved the raspberry filling and there's something about the flavor of almond...

The last few years, except 2020 and this year for obvious reasons, loved to go to the Broadway Market downtown right before Easter and shop all the various vendors. One of our favorites was Chrusciki Bakery and just the vast array of baked goods (we LOVE pastries) but as of 2021, we saw they were not at the Broadway Market anymore and instead were asking patrons to come to their new storefront in Eastern Hills Mall. I've been a few times now and every time I walk away incredibly happy. Their storefront in Eastern Hills Mall is gorgeous inside and they offer a HUGE array of baked goods along with gelato and coffee-style drinks. They also offer a dine-in experience but as of 09/2021, I haven't tried that yet. The staff working behind the baked good counter though are very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Whenever I see a new pastry I've not seen before, they're able to explain what it is and describe it a bit. I also follow Chrusciki Bakery on Facebook and they do an awesome job posting updates. For example, I came on a Sunday where they had reduced hours as they were hosting a wedding reception that afternoon, which helped me plan when to stop by and I knew this all because they had a post up on their Facebook page about it. With the Eastern Hills Mall not having as many storefronts as it had in its past glory, there is PLENTY of parking here. As for the pastries they offer, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I've tried their Bavarian cream-filled pączki (my first pączki ever!), peanut butter/chocolate mousse bar, apple cinnamon roll, almond raspberry cake, chocolate hazelnut pretzel, and raspberry swirl pretzel. Honestly, I have no complaints about any of them - everything they make is super high quality and simply phenomenal. If someone asked what they should try first, I'd probably say go for a chocolate mousse bar or apple cinnamon roll. Their pretzels are excellent, just go in expecting a more pastry texture and flavor, rather than what you'd get with a traditional pretzel, but you'll be plenty happy with the final product. :) Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity they are producing. Chrusciki Bakery is a Buffalo-staple and has quickly become one of my favorite local shops to pick up a sweet treat!

Highly unauthentic macarons 4 pack for $12
    Mark D.

We purchased some chrusciki, placek, and some macarons from Chrusciki. As usual, I'm a fan of the chrusciki. The Macarons were the 2nd worst I've ever had, the worst being store-packaged from Marshalls. The macarons were sold in a 4 pack for $12, tasted more like an over-sweetened oreo cookie, extra crumbly yet hollow, and basically everything a macaron should not be. This is an equivalent of if Ford started manufacturing cardiac pacemakers. The staff was friendly though, I will continue to be a returnign customer, though I would suggest only purchasing what they are known for.

    Lauren S.

The best bakery around. If you haven't tried their macaroons, you aren't living. I've never been able to find one even close to how delicious these are. Plenty of cake slices are available to-go and of course they have traditional polish desserts like placek. I also have to give a shout out specifically to their cheesecake because it is OUT OF THIS WORLD creamy! This location is built inside of the BFLO district of Eastern Hills Mall. So you can grab a quick dinner at simply perogi and walk out with some baked goodies!! Oh! THEY ALSO HAVE GELATO!! *Drop the mic*

Located in the "BFLO" section of the Eastern Hills mall, Chrusciki Bakery shares an impressive space with a bar and a pierogi restaurant, including shared seating. We came in the middle of the day on a Saturday, and it was bustling! Lots of people were dining in and quite a few were ordering food and drinks to go. I was impressed with the variety of baked goods at Chrusciki and the prices were reasonable too! Because my name was the "name of the day", I got a free loaf of placzek! We also ordered some jam-filled cookies, a plum paczki, and an iced mocha. In addition to baked goods and cafe beverages, they even had gelato which looked amazing! If you haven't been in yet, I'd highly recommend it!

The location makes sense as the residents of Williamsville are generally well-educated and worldly enough to appreciate authentic Yemeni cuisine; the same cannot be said for most of Buffalo suburbs, unfortunately, so I'm grateful the Buffalo metro now has one. Ordered the Qamaria latte, traditionally-spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The spice notes were potent, but not at all overpowering and the beverage remained balanced. Had a chicken malawach as well; flaky and savory, and also well-spiced. It was a bit greasy which was the only regrettable thing about the experience, but not extremely and it didn't compromise the flavor or texture. The dining room itself was clean and elegantly decorated with Arabian and Gulf motifs, and the staff were friendly and helpful when my mother had questions about the menu. (I give any practicing Muslim props for working in food service while fasting during Ramadan.) I had read about legendary cinnamon scones and have been a huge scone kick (especially cinnamon!), so I had to try them. Not only do they make cinnamon though, they take a unique approach to their fruit scones by filling them with fruit jelly, so of course I tried a lemon blueberry filled scone too. The filled ones are better in theory than practice. The lemon flavor of the dough was almost nonexistent and the blueberry jam didn't spread well enough to help out the other lacking flavors. The cinnamon scone absolutely could have potential, but unfortunately mine was overly hard and crumbly - I wish I had asked for a specific, newer and lesser-baked one, but such is life :)

Still, we were seated far apart, observing social distance. We were greeted and served by a very sweet lady. Both my daughter and I did the soup/sandwich combo. She had the chicken Caesar wrap and said it was yummy! I had a Reuben sandwich. Simple and delicious. We both had the homemade, hearty chicken gumbo soup. Loved the okra and chicken pieces loaded in the thick broth. It was superb, hit the spot. A+ We also enjoyed a plate of Pierogis. Lucky for us, pierogis are offered only during the current Lenten period. Cheese or potato onion - we loved both! We ordered a full plate for $6.50. Really, I've never had pierogi this delicious. Gabrielle's used to be my favorite place in the Village of Lancaster. I supported them constantly…read more They have wonderful gluten free baked goods, as well as great breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free roll, if one so chooses. I will discuss three different run ins with Gabrielle's. First one - I went there in January to grab some sweets for a little crafting party I was hosting. I ordered both gluten free items and non gluten free items. The woman working, who was new, proceeds to ask me if she can put the non gf and the gf in one container. I said absolutely not. How can you not be trained on this, or not know not to do that. Why would I be ordering gf items, if I'm going to agree to put them in the same container. It defeats the purpose. Second time - Valentine's Day. My husband and I had a tradition of going to support Gabrielle's on Valentine's Day because they offered different gf items and a romantic atmosphere. This was our third time attending since living in the village. We arrived right when they opened, and they weren't opened yet, which was fine. When the owner unlocked the door, she wasn't very friendly. I let it slide, and continued to choose to visit Gabrielle's because I loved the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Third time - I stopped in on my way to an event to get a breakfast sandwich. It was about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. It was quite busy there. There were roughly 2 or 3 tables occupied throughout my half hour stay.  Most notably there was a mom and daughter there. I'll get back to that in a minute. When I arrived, I was the only one at the counter. The same girl from the first not great encounter was making coffee behind the counter. That is fine. What wasn't fine, was that she didn't acknowledge me at all and I waited there awkwardly to put my order in for a good 5 minutes. Weird, that you wouldn't say, "Hi, it will just be a minute, as I'm working on another order,"  or something like that. The owner also came out of the kitchen during this time and took several Door Dash orders, but also didn't acknowledge me standing there. All I needed was a Hi, I'll be right with you. Something. I felt like a ghost. Fast forward, woman takes my order. It is for a gluten free breakfast sandwich. I sit down and wait. I wait for a solid half hour for my breakfast sandwich to be complete. During this time, the mother and daughter duo go up to the counter and say that they told the woman when they ordered that they needed to get everything by 9am, and it was 9am, and they still hadn't gotten their sandwiches yet. Why does it take a half hour to make 2 breakfast sandwiches?! They finally get their order and leave. The woman goes from the kitchen to the counter and is yelling to the owner, "If they wanted their food faster, they should have went to Tim Hortons." There was me and about 2 other tables present for that. I thought that statement was absolutely horrific and disgusting. Everyone who came through Gabrielle's and who goes to Gabriele's chooses to spend their money locally. To help a local family and support their business. To say that in front of customers, is abhorrent. I finally got my breakfast sandwich and left. I ruminated this for a while and decided against posting this review and emailing them directly about how this comment was unwarranted and not ok and the employee should be reprimanded. I received no reply back. This happened in February and it is now May. I have not received any acknowledgement regarding that my comment was received. I can only take it as the owner and employees don't care. Thus, I'm posting my review.   Not to mention that they claim to sell fresh bread on Saturdays, and there were a couple customers who arrived asking to purchase the fresh bread, and were told it was still rising and would be ready around 1 pm or so. What?! You would think they would be more in a hurry to get their bread out on a Saturday morning. That is when people want to eat fresh bread. It breaks my heart that I can't support this business anymore because the baked goods are so delicious, but I'm going to support other local businesses that value their customer base and are happy that the customers who walk through their doors want to support local.

We were shopping in Lancaster and needed a quick snack/coffee break. Luckily Gabrielle's was still…read moreopen and we popped in quick to grab something as we checked out all of the shops on Main Street. It was a busy Saturday so there were a few people in front of us. We decided to get some things out of the pastry case and a couple chai lattes to go. Unfortunately for us with it being later in the day, the last of some of the items we wanted got taken before us but we ended up getting a slice of pumpkin roll, a cider donut, and a slice of carrot cake. The desserts were all so good. The cream cheese frosting was made perfectly and the cider donut had such a great flavor to it. The only downside was the wait for the drinks. The drinks took about 15-20 minutes to get to us. They were short on staff it seemed like so no worries but we had finished our food and were waiting for the drinks still. This is a really cute little spot on Main Street and I would love to go check it out again and hopefully try a couple of the things we didn't have a chance to next time.
