Quite spot with authentic flavors. Great for throwing on a hat and going out for a nice, authentic meal when you don't feel like looking fancy. One man service in the dining area but he's super sweet. We come all the time when we want authentic, Szechuan flavor.

The staff had good customer service, fast with taking orders and brought out the food fairly quickly. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Very nice, cozy, and modern theme. Give them a try if you want some authentic food. Worth the try! Don't walk but run!!!!! 10/10 everything was delicious

This is the best chinese food i have had in Raleigh. The food was fresh and the service was good. the place is very casual, no bells and whistles. going forward i will likely just get take out.

Located in a small shopping center this cafe offers a dine in space. Upon both entering and exiting the restaurant I was hit up for money and the sign inside the restaurant states no free food for the homeless. So be aware this is an issue. Lunch was $12. The egg drop soup was flavorful and rich. The garlic sauce and chicken was perhaps the spiciest meal I ever ate. O am sure sone love it this way but not me. The fried rice was flavorless. But all I tasted was a mouth burn so who knows. Do not plan on returning.

Chicken with mushroom, pork fried dumplings, fish in bean sauce

Good food. Good ambiance. Pretty quick service. The staff is very attentive. I love quaint restaurants like these.

My receipt

Scallion pancake was oily flavorless and small. The Dan Dan noodles were gummy and not worth $11 The pan fried broccoli was unattractive and loaded with enough salt to cure meat...... Waste of money...

The food was so salty we couldn't eat it! Dunno why they have such great reviews, unless we just ordered on a particularly bad night?

Food was impeccable. I'll be back!…read more On a Saturday night around 8pm, I ordered a bunch of food for about 20 people as an impromptu post graduation dinner at my house. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. All in all, Chengdu 7 you truly made me a fan of you. I will most certainly be returning for more!

We enjoyed so many different dishes - hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, hand pulled noodles with beef, kung Pao chicken, cumin beef, beef with vegetables, crag rangoon, and pork dumplings. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Simply put, everything we ordered was a home run. The soup - Wonton - was splendid. The broth had far more kick, far more substance, far more taste than the stuff we've managed to get at other local restaurants - and more clearly matched what I've eaten in Chinese restaurants throughout Southeast Asia . . . and, of course, in my few trips to Beijing. The egg rolls immediately made me think of this little hole-in-the-wall take-out Chinese joint in Brooklyn that I recall . . . from fifty years ago. The place was situated on the corner of Bay Parkway and 86th street, right at the point where the elevated track for the B train was located - and immediately became my father's first stop as he descended the station's stairs at the end of his workday, leading right to the front door of that cookery. He always ordered an egg roll or two, ate one standing in the entryway to the cook shop, and brought several home. Those Szechuan Garden egg rolls immediately, for me, resonated with the vigorous, deep taste of those Brooklyn delectables. We had a simple fish dinner with white rice, and an eggplant cooked deeply and wrapped in a thin dough covering - never had eggplant that way before and it was, again, a home run. The fish was so very simple, so very tasty - unforgettable. Thankfully, we have enough leftovers to make for another great meal today. We now have a new favorite restaurant near our home in Durham.

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. What will I try next?

The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. Totally fair because, as I mentioned, there weren't many spaces available for eating in. I will definitely return to Ni Asian.

We got the: - Scallion Roasted Beef Pancake Roll: Definitely recommend getting this as an appetizer! The scallion pancake is super crispy with unbelievably tender beef inside & perfect amount of sweetness from the hoisin sauce. - Griddle Chicken with Mixed Vegetables: I've never eaten anything like this before, and absolutely loved it. Loved all the spices- cumin, fennel, doubanjiang- & the mala essence; the crispy, tender chicken; and the variety of vegetables, especially the lotus root. - Shrimp Ho-Fun: The shrimp were tender & the wide rice noodles have such a fun, bouncy texture; a flavorful dish. - Spicy Boiled Fish: The fish was super flaky; Taipei 101's version of this has a bit less mala flavor than I like, but this was still tasty. - Chinese Braised Pork: The pork was tender with a good amount of fat and I appreciated the bok choy, but it was a bit too sweet for me. Ambiance is nice, lots of tables. Service was fast. There are parking spots in front of the restaurant, but a little limited in number. 10/10 would recommend!

The vegetable lo mein was just as underwhelming, with only a small amount of carrots, scallions, and broccoli, lacking real flavor while somehow being overly salty. We also ordered the eggplant with basil, but the sauce was thick, overly sticky, and tasted more like sugar than anything else. I can't understand how this could be considered authentic. We had visited this restaurant about ten years ago, and the quality has clearly declined since then.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual.
