This place has been on my to-do list for the longest time ever !! especially since it's a franchise linked with other restaurants in the same mother company that does A5 wagyu all you can eats. And they offer a membership that can be used across the board with all of these participating restaurants within the franchise. We signed up for that, it came with perks just as a new member, so it was a no-brainer. it gave discount to the person with the membership and one additional person every time. And a free birthday meal to the member, but it has to be on the day of, or the day before, and or after. This is just to give people a little warm up for their stomach because if you've never had A5 wagyu beef and then all of a sudden you have a lot of these beautifully marbled fatty meats, some people end up with diarrhea because their system can't handle it and others don't...( just FYI) They offer free Wi-Fi, so you can also scan their QR code and view their different tier menus (3 kinds, 3 different price points) online while waiting to be seated. You have to be very meticulous and highly professional with how you handle that 90 minutes of dining time. Because you can only order 10 items every 7 minutes. So it gives you a sense of urgency like you're doing battle, while setting alarms on the phone and preselecting menu items right after you send the first order. (However, the rules of the game on timing changes when you get their diamond menu, due to some limited menu items) The food shows up very quickly, so there's no complaint about that. and then there is the self-serve, and ready to eat station area where you can find a variety of drinks from different juices sodas and milk tea that is served at one of their other franchises that's only on the West Coast and not on the East over here. there's different kind of crepes, and soft serve ice cream, and there's different kinds of veggies and fruits that makes it look like it came out of heaven because there's that cloudy fog on top of that area that makes it very mysterious. I will say the egg tarts that comes out warm and ready to eat is pretty good the three kinds of things with cheese and corn are just so sweet.... to an excessive degree... that I wanted to wash my mouth out and couldn't take more than one bite. The creme de La creme over there is when the mini cheeseburgers come out!! These sexy little things will have you thinking about them nights after.... don't get me wrong there's self making me so soup over there too to your heart's content and Curry with rice and beef soup and all, but nothing has topped these mini cheeseburger sliders! but because these come with bread there's a chance of you becoming too full, so pace yourself! or abandon those buns!!! Con: It's just that when they get busy during their dinner rush is when the staff shows up much slower, and will delay your grill plate changing time. but if you speak up about that some of them will be kind enough to adjust another 10 to 15 minutes to your dining time at their discretion. And their dinner rush time starts around 5/ 5:30 p.m. so if you pick a dining time of 90 minutes that finishes before 5PM it would be a more pleasant experience... and the staff would actually helping cook for you more. I will say that I love their booth seating better than the regular table seating because the vibe is much better and more spacious; especially when I'm accompanied by two dudes ( that's like two sumo wrestlers next to me lol ) like I brought my own chubs to chubby cattle lol and regular seating just don't cut it !! I will say that they're bathroom is relatively very clean and spacious and actually have sanitary toilet sheets to place on top of it. This is a very big thing for me, because bathrooms are a huge pet peeve for me. we've been here twice so far in the first time the second floor bathroom was under maintenance so we had to go to the basement floor in order to use the other bathroom that they have available so that's like a two flight walk for people who hate stairs ... you're not going to love it. In conclusion, during both my visits at this restaurant ... first time we were served by TK who was very patient with all of us while explaining the menu and the perks of their membership. so actually shout out and thanks to TK, you're the best dude!! And then the last time when we visited we had the infamous Sherry, which my friend said she was highly raved about via other reviewers. She definitely lift up to those praises!! Sherry is super friendly, very patient and helpful; without her I know my friend would have burned himself cooking all those highly flammable thinner cut meats that he loves to order but sucks at cooking... ‍ So thank you so much Sherry for making his birthday a wonderful experience! read more

I've visited this location multiple times with friends and family, and I've noticed the service and quality drop significantly each visit. The past 2 times I've visited, the grill hasn't worked, and the time between each round of food took longer and longer. At one point, I believe I sent in 2 rounds of food before anything came out. The server tried to fix the grill, but couldn't, so when they asked for a manager for help, it even took him 5-10 minutes before coming to help. He tried and it worked for a little, then the fire died down again. It go so bad to the point where we had to get another manager involved just for a single grill problem. As for the meal itself, we were offered a round of their A5 wagyu or free round of drinks. This is complete bribery, and I fully understand how they are able to keep such a high rating on Google! It even seems like they replaced the whole team with people that don't know what they're doing! Also, I'm aware that they have a 90 minute dining limit, but with all the food delays and grill troubles, you would expect to receive extra time, but that is far from the truth. As soon as I paid out, the manager instantly came out and told us we needed to leave as we were past our dining limit. We looked at her and felt completely disgusted as we just went through all these issues and now we're being kicked out. If service continues like this, I will never be coming back, and I definitely don't recommend it to anyone reading this. read more

Even though he wasn't originally our server, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness and excellent customer service! Nicole was warm and welcoming, but it seemed like she had a lot to take care of that evening, so unfortunately she didn't get a chance to check on us very often. We also waited about 20 minutes for assistance with cooking one of our specialties and felt a little overlooked. Thankfully, Andy stepped in and completely turned things around. Ambiance was nice and the staff was attentive but thats as much as I can say for positives. Finally decided to come try this new barbecue place and left disappointed. We got the gold tier as it came with "A5 Brisket." I get that it's an all you can eat and the quality will not be as great, but if you're going to advertise that your meat is A5, I would expect to be served just that. As you can see in the photo, the meat quality is mediocre. The "A5" brisket in question is shown in the photo. The lack of marbling, the excessive amount of fat makes you really question if it is what is being advertised. I've had better quality meat at other places for half the price. Came for dinner around 6:00 and was seated pretty quick. It's a little hidden from the outside because there's no big signs but once you walk by you will see. They offer a diverse menu featuring Wagyu, sushi, appetizers, seafood, and more. There is a drink and dessert station and an area where you can customize your veggie and fruit platter. This place was amazing! I had chubby cattle before in LA but this location has the coolest themes! The self serve bar is top notch and the wagyu meat quality is better than any meat you will find in the market or any other restaurant. The service was quick and the management were on top of keeping everything in order. I believe our server's name was Asiyah. She explained the menu beautifully and helped us grill our meats! We came in with no reservations on a weeknight and it was really busy. As a party of 2, we couldn't make a reservation because they only allows ones for groups 3+. The host told us they couldn't guarantee our seating because of how long the waitlist was, and when last seating would be. They were a bit rude about the fact that we still wanted to wait but we took the gamble and hung out nearby. We monitored our place in line and when we were 2nd or 3rd in line, we suddenly got a text that told us we were removed from the list. We immediately went over and they told us we were called and they contacted us repeatedly when we didn't get anything. It was still 20 mins prior to last seating so this was upsetting. We asked them if they could still seat us given the issue, and the host didn't seem very happy to, though they did and we were last to be seated for the evening. Once seated though everything turned around. Tenzen was our server and he was great! He told us upfront to make sure we order whatever we wanted upfront given when the kitchen closes. He helped us cook our premium meats and checked in frequently. We loved having him as our server! The food itself was great! You order from a tablet for the most part based on whichever menu you choose. We had been to other chubby cattle locations and the menu is mostly the same here. I've been to niku X and chubby skewers as well. You get 90 minutes to dine. I got the silver tier and it came with enough options for us to get a variety of foods. The cuts were beautifully marbleized with a melt in your mouth texture. Sushi, rice dishes, and soup are also included in the AYCE menu - nothing gets boring for the 90 mins you are alloted to order. Everything is so good!! Stop talking and keep ordering! They have a self service station for drinks, small appetizers, and dipping sauce. Drinks beside soda included milk tea and matcha. We opt for the silver course which still offers a great selection one meats and appetizers. Ordering was very easy via the tablet at the table. You can order up to 10 things at once every 7 mins. They allow 1 hour of ordering but an hour and a half total meal time. We ordered to the very last minute. There are condiments, cold appetizers, drinks and dessert that are self serve. Food came relatively quickly after ordering. Most of the meats were pretty good with exception to some that are on the tougher and thicker side. Our favorite is still the brisket. My friends and I went for the silver tier option since we felt it already offered a good variety. It was very convenient being able to order from the iPad. You have 90 minutes and can order up to 10 items every 7 minutes, and the iPad will not let you go over that limit. Between the four of us, we went through about 25 plates and left completely stuffed. As some reviews have mentioned, the meat was not the highest quality and the texture was not very pleasant for most dishes. The standouts for me were the beef tongue, wagyu brisket, wagyu short rib, and Argentine shrimp. The nigiri sushi was also a nice break when the meat started to feel overwhelming. The hand rolls and carpaccio looked good, but I was not a fan of the thick sweet sauce that came with them. The drink selection was also pretty underwhelming, and I ended up drinking water for most of the meal. Do not sleep on the fruit. We came here on Thanksgiving weekend for dinner when all the transplants left the city. It was a bit difficult reserving a table otherwise. Anyway, we got the gold tier for dinner and while it was a bit pricey compared to other AYCE Asian BBQ joints, it was well worth it. The waygu beef we got was on point. The sushi we got was very good and quiet honestly on par with some Omakase places we have been to. The other cuts of meat we ordered were delicious too. The prepared foods like cheesy corn and ice cream and egg tarts were very good. The service was very attentive and quick. The decor was fairly modern. It was plenty of food and definitely decent for the price. You get what you pay for though. The "A5" Miyazaki/Wagyu isn't the highest quality. Very thin slices and honestly not the best cuts. The star for my parents was the egg tart. Soft, creamy, and that flaky crust was a winner. A few dishes stood out for me too. The steamed egg was fluffy and comforting. The wagyu foie gras hand roll was delicious, but it's only one per person. You do most of the grilling yourself and drinks are self serve from a station that felt a bit chaotic. The meat and sushi were good, but I could tell there was a noticeable difference in quality compared to the LA location. I thought the LA location was well worth the price for AYCE food, but at the NYC location I would recommend trying it once only for the experience. Service was 10/10 though! It's finally here in NYC! I saw several of their locations out west on a recent trip to California but haven't had a chance to try any. After our first family visit and eating for 90 minutes, I left wondering whether the cattle or me will be chubbier after another visit or two. We opted to sign up as members and tried the Gold option this time. To be honest, the limited quantity grilled meat options from the Gold option were good but not too memorable, which had me thinking about just trying the Silver option next time as the regular part of the menu was satisfying and varied enough for me. Our server helped us with grilling the limited quantity cuts and the bonus dishes we got for signing up as members. The rest of the meat we handled ourselves. It was hard to decide a favorite as all the cuts of meat were fresh and well balanced. To avoid oversaturating our palate with mostly meat, we also ordered some sushi and handrolls, which were also nice and fresh. I also had two small bowls of white rice, which came out from a machine. It was not warm enough for my preference. With our meal, we also have access to miso soup, Japanese curry, appetizers, fruits, soda, two milk tea options, soft serve ice cream, and even a baked cheesy durian dessert. In addition, we could order some tom yum soup and kimchi hot pot from our screen. Although the focus is on the meat, there many additional options to build your own unique dining experience. After watching videos on YouTube of the chubby cattle in Vegas, I knew I had to try it when it opened in NYC. It did not disappoint!!! My party choose the Gold level and the meats were top notch. I'm a sucker for waygu brisket and I ordered a lot of that. I will say we just ordered and ordered all the meats available in our level and each one was tender and flavorful. The sauces they provided were a great match for the meats. Let's not forget about the sushi. I ate more than my share of the yellowtail sushi. I believe more than I was suppose too. Loved every mouthful. The curry and the wagyu beef by the rice dispenser was what I came for from all the videos I've seen and it didn't disappoint. Overall 3.5 / 5 We went here after doing some shopping around the area. The 2 girls at the entrance were on their phone and looked like they didn't wanna be there, not as welcoming. The waiter brought us upstairs and explained how the system works. It was pretty good but confusing. The waiter would only cook in the beginning and we had to self cook ourselves. The fried rice took a while to come. The lobster rolls were really good. They got a nice selection wagyu cuts. There are extra vegetables in the back along with miso soup and they also have an ice cream machine. I didn't like how when you're cooking your food, there is no overhead vent like at other hot pots or kbbq places. So the smoke would like easily go in your eyes and idk it just wasn't as pleasant of an experience because of all the smoke- they need better ventilation. Also the tables are positioned far from the seat so you really have to lean forward and your feet don't have much space so your knees are touching the front of the island table and it's just not an optimal seating positioning (this is hard to explain but let's just say the seats are permanently placed slightly far from the table so you have to lean forward). Other than that the food was decent overall. Our waiter did his best despite the things out of his control. I'm pretty sure they forgot my fried rice because it came like 30 mins late after I asked multiple times. I don't really want remove points for that because it was probably short staffed but it was a Sunday so wasn't really that busy as there were a lot of empty seats. Idk I just didn't liked being rushed to eat and esp if the foods not ready and esp since the fried rice was delayed it felt kind of messed up that you put that 90 mins timer when you're not really ready yourself. I would've tipped extra or paid more for a cooking service because I really don't like to cook so I had my wife do the cooking for me but idk I just think that delays things esp if you got a 90 mins timer. Overall I'd probably recommend this place as it has a lot of potential. They have nice beer selection; was surprised they had import beer from Kyoto. Value: I get that it's wagyu but id say it's pretty expensive for what you get and the service. Plus when you pay, the waiter stands in front of you with their payment machine and waits for you to pick the tip choice on the mini computer screen so I didn't like that as that pressures you to pick a higher tip count idk. I prefer old school where you get a paper bill and pay with a card then they should come back with the paper reciept and then I'll pick what tip. And it's weird because they don't even keep cooking all the way so what am I even tipping for if we (my wife) have to cook the food ourselves and get up to get our own drinks and vegetables and what not. read more
