What can you NOT say about this place? Service....fabulous...Carrie was so amazing!!! Everyone was welcoming, great customer service! Ambiance...spot on, like an old style diner!!! Very, very clean!!! Food...now let's talk...when I say it is mouthwatering, I mean mouthwatering! I had the Patty Melt...OMG!!! Serviced hot, I mean the cheese was so gooey, just fabulous! Just the right amount of horseradish sauce, not overpowering!!! Hubby had the Reuben, he stopped talking so he good eat it! Fries with the Chub's "secret" sauce...people,people,people....a must try with the fries! We even tried to get the recipe so we could have at home, but no luck. It's ok, have to keep those recipes secret!!! Fries themselves,,, so delicious! Hubby really doesn't like fries and he ate all of his!!! It's too bad we live in FL because I think we would be here at least once a week!!!

    Nice cozy booths

The small 12 booth diner was a great find. You order off the menus then you go to the counter to pick sides. Sides like sausage, pork chops, collards, grits, potatoes and the like. Staff were very nice and southern hospitality. Food very good.

    Southbound Benedict

Very very good food. Great servers and service. One of a kind breakfast choices. Very fresh. Would highly recommend the Southbound Benedict At first I thought Collard Greens for breakfast was a little weird but soooo good. Would highly recommend this business.

Be prepared for a wait, apparently this place is always packed... we had to wait out in the cold because there was such a line to be seated. I found out that this place is a small family business, they bought it from the previous owners this past September. The food is great, I would only come back if I had no other plans for the rest of the day because it takes a while to be seated and even longer for the food to come out. They have a lot of people to service and the place is not that big so it's totally understandable. We all really enjoyed our meals, by the time it came out we were all practically starving. Everything was yummy and fresh. I wish the potatoes were a bit more on the crispy side, they were mushy but flavorful. My coworker said he really enjoyed the milkshake from this place and I love milkshakes so I ordered a vanilla milkshake... it was essentially a large cup of milk with chunks of ice cream. The waitress said it was her first time making the milkshake and that it's usually a different person making them so maybe others will have a better milkshake if you decide to give it a chance. Overall pretty nice spot.

Chubs is one of my favorite breakfast spots on the island! It's located in what was once a huddle house, so it has that diner feel but with much better food! Everything on the menu is delicious but this time I got the usual suspects breakfast and everything came out just right! My only tip is to get there early, it's not very big and gets crowded very fast. This will always be my go-to breakfast spot on the island and I can't recommend it enough!

Left Sea Island and wanted pancakes, found this restaurant on Yelp and exuded to try it. The layout is similar to Waffle House, seats at a high area overlooking the grill and booths. We both had cakes and I'm giving them a 3. Service was great!

Where do we start!??? The greetings walking in were so welcoming!! Friendly staff wanting to make sure you are happy and comfortable, thank you! We asked what top sellers for breakfast were and the Carnivore and Three Little Pigs did not disappoint! We devoured all of our food!! Soooooooooo delicious!! There was no room for dessert:( We WILL BE BACK!! Great job yall!!

Well to start off the food is ok. Saw mill gravy & collards are Definitely sweet when it shouldn't be.(The collard greens are not good @ all) the sausage was loaded with rosemary...way too much! Other than that the service was great! The interior is dated to around the early 90's feel. We came & tried it but will not be back.

    Great selection

I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!

The space looks great, and it was exciting to see them expanding into dinner service. I went in craving a good burger and ordered the Smashburger, upgrading to the truffle fries... and wow. Sooo good. The burger was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and everything you want from a smash-style burger. The truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade--crispy, indulgent, and hard to stop eating. Overall, a great first dinner experience post-renovation. We're excited to come back and try more of the dinner menu. Highly recommend checking it out!

We were told that it would be about an hour and a half for a table we were ok with that and put our name on the list. I would say it took about an hour for a table. Our server immediately came to the table to ask for our drink orders so we thought we were off to a great start. She also took our food orders rather quickly. However, after that she pretty much disappeared on us. She never once came by to ask if we needed any more mimosas or refills on our waters. She didn't even let us know that the kitchen was backed up. We had to ask the hostess to look for her as it had been 45 minutes after ordering and we had no sign of her. She was outside texting. She then came by and said it's a holiday weekend it's going to be busy and then walked away. Our food was delish and we really liked what we ordered but by the time we got it we had been at the restaurant for at least an hour after ordering. I had the breakfast sandwich that was basically like a bacon and and cheese with tomato on a sandwich with cheesy grits on the side. We waved her down to close out and left right after we finished eating. Server was not friendly or attentive.
