Went here for a nephews birthday. The food is about average of what you get at Chuck E. Cheese restaurants. Pizza is decent, chicken wings are a bit too small. I am mainly giving the 5 star rating on the service. The staff was really nice and accommodating to my nephew and made him feel like he was a big deal. I have always has great experiences here. My family and I prefer to come on the weekdays because its less crowded. My boys always have a great time. Rides and machines are always in good working conditions. Bathroom is usually decent and the food has always been good. It really helps when you have coupons, and I like how you can just show them your mobile Phone. I have had 2 parties here in the last year and our hosts have always been really attentive and great. I prefer to have parties on the weekday bc the party area is less crowded. Packages are still decently priced so if you are looking for a quick 2 hour birthday celebration, this is a great option. I wish they had a no star ratings!! Worst Chuck E Cheese ever!!! I should have seen the warning signs since I got there. But since it was my daughter bday I decided to just let it go. Keep in mind it wasn't just the salad bar but the soda fountain area had ants. I was waiting for croutons she told me to wait so I did for about 2-3min then I decided to go sit down. Sent my husband with another plate and they told him no that he needed to get the salad plate. Went up with the plate and That's when Audrinna says that I should have waiting and so I said maybe you should have this shit filled up and clean. She told me I had to leave and I said I will as long as get my refund. Which she refused so I'm out $66. Save yourself a trip and take your kids else where. This place is pretty small, but the staffs are very friendly. It wasn't too crowded when I went inside. The facilities weren't so new though. It's okay to take your kids for a casual fun time, but I won't recommend it if you're throwing a birthday party or something you really want it special. read more

I take my 2 grand boys to different chunky E there's by far the Newark one is the worst. Went there yesterday memorial day there was no air on it was super hot.Ordered 4 buffets At 12:30 they put 1 pizza out at 1:30 and Nothing else. I visited the Newark location to attend a birthday party. It's been over 30 years since I have been to a Chucky Cheese venue when my children were small. The place was full of children and families, high noise level. The Chucky Cheese characters on stage were very mechanical and not entertaining. The pizzas and chicken wings were decent, but forget about the salad bar. My major complaint is that there is very little lighting in the parking lot making it very unsafe for children going in and out of the premises at night. read more

I've had the best experience here with such great staff. They are all hardworking and very attentive to their customers. Christian and Savion have personally helped me and I wanted to write about their excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this location. The food is fresh and fast And the salad bar is alway refilled nice & clean. The workers are always positive attitude and interact with the kids when chucky comes out. I never thought Chuck e cheese's party is so stressful. We arrived 15 mins early, like what they asked me to. Staff were acting like what the heck were doing there so early. They could have at least gave us 2 servers because I booked for 30 kids and 30 adults and our server should have given us the cards so the kids can start playing and not waiting for everythibg to get set up. We were asking for every single item, spoons, forks, plates, soda, etc. Pizza came one at a time, so it looks awkward that some are eating and some are not. I can keep going. It was a total disaster. If I could give this place zero stars I would. First off, never I repeat never order food from this place. We ordered stale sausage pizza, slimy undercooked chicken wings, and bland frozen tater tots. My family and I were experiencing food poisoning symptoms not even 30 minutes after we were done eating. Secondly, their staff has no respect for their customers. I asked an employee to give me a toy ball to purchase for my daughter as she was throwing a fuss. He, with no hesitation said, "oh you want to buy this", with his eyes raised thinking that we had no money. I went to Newark location (10mins further) than Hayward and it was much better. A party had just finished and there was some trash on floor. I told a staff member, in a couple mins the manager was out there cleaning up. The bathrooms were clean and didn't stink and I didn't stick to everything I touched. It was a bonus that our favorite game wasn't broke here, but a bonus none the less. Go to Newark location and skip Hayward. Good job to the manager. You actually seem to care. Its best to take your child here during the week and during the day. Weekend and afternoons are chaotic. Service will come to a halt and you will leave with a headache. My little brother has down syndrome and this is his favorite place in the world. The staff is nice and the food is overpriced but tasty. The playground is safe and looks clean, the games and rides are fun and are almost always working. The biggest problems here seem to be when they throw organized parties. Come during dead hours and your child will have a much better time. Also bring some sanitation supplies because this place is crawling with germs and sneezing children. read more

Very bad experience last night at Chuck E Cheese! Over 1 hr standing in a line to get in. I couldn't leave because the kids here excited to be there. I ask the hostess why we had to wait, she said the restaurant was over capacity yet we could see many empty tables. Once inside there was only one register open for orders. On other 1/2 hr in line to order. After 45 mins waiting for our pizza I got up to check why it wasn't ready. I was told it would be another 30 mins because they had too many orders. So we waited. After another 40 mins, went back to check on our order. We were not the only ones waiting for over 1 1/2 hrs for pizza. One parent told me he was demanding his money back and cancelling his order. He said a worker was dropping off pizzas to a table were no one was Sitting and the pizza was untouched. So I too requested to cancel my order and wanted a refund. This time the worker ran into the kitchen and then came out with 2 pizzas that I had ordered. He said they where ready but they didn't bring them to our table because they were waiting for our wings to get done. At first I agreed to stay then I saw the pizzas, they only had cheese and toppings in the middle. The crust around the pizza was in aproxima 8 inches towards the toppings. I am definitely not a fan of over prized arcade places with bad food but the kids love it so it is okay for a few hours. I had my son's birthday party here a few years back and I would definitely not do it again. I understand that the host has a schedule to follow but if there are no other parties booked, they should not rush you through it. Luckily my son is over this place but we still go back every now and then when family and/or friends have parties here. I would certainly eat before and explain to my son that I rather buy him a box of legos for 30 bucks rather than spend it on tickets that get you a tootsie roll. read more

Let me preface this review by saying my 4 star rating is based solely on the food; had I actually been permitted by Chuck E Cheese staff to enter the ball pit, that would've probably knocked my rating down a star or two based on sanitary concerns alone. So there are really two reasons that I'd recommend CEC's for your next dining experience, the salad bar and the italian cheese bread. The salad bar at Chuck E Cheese has got to be one of the better ones I've had, and this includes places like Fresh Choice, Sweet Tomatoes, Soup Plantation, and anything a Vegas buffet can throw out there. Why you ask? Well, mainly because nobody ever eats the salad bar, most kids go right at the pizza, and the adults, well they are just drowning their sorrows/boredom with pitcher upon pitcher of overpriced Bud Light. This ensures the ingredients on the salad bar are pristine, and despite nobody ever eating it, a staff member is constantly turning over the items every ten minutes or so with fresh lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, BEETS (yes, I love beets, what of it?), etc. If nothing else, the salad bar here is great for those noncommittal people who get all flustered at Fresh Choice when presented with 15 different types of croutons to dress their salad with. Don't get me wrong, CEC's isn't rinky-dink by any means, you've got your core toppers like croutons, azn crispy noodles, sesame sticks, and duck shaped quackers (yea I went there, welcome to pun city, population this guy). As great as the salad bar is at Chuck's, the italian breadsticks are definitely the pièce de résistance (yes they are so good I used french to describe a reasonable facsimile of an italian dish). They come out piping hot, golden brown and oh so crispy, with little to no grease to speak of. One large order can easily fill up two people, and comes with ranch and marinara dipping sauces. The best part of the sticks are somewhere during the cooking process they get coated with grated parmesan cheese, so with each bite you get these little cheesy flavor explosions. I like them so much I once tried ordering them to go; this was during the period where I was ashamed to eat inside the restaurant. Thankfully, I quickly got over that, plus by the time you get home the sticks are woefully soggy and need to be revived by the oven, which is a little bit too much work when you can just go to town on those bad boys when they're freshly made. I mean, who really cares that I'm nearing the twilight years of my 20s and still derive pleasure from entering an establishment with a Kid Check hand stamp program? As an aside, don't joke about there being a cover charge or which DJ is spinning that night with the teenager at the door in charge of the handstamp , because then he just gets all uppity. Chuck's gets some bonus points for giving out a few free tokens with your meal purchase, or as I like to call it in an effort to make it sound less juvenile, ' Charles comping a few table games.' This is actually a blessing in disguise, because most times you can just elbow the little kids out of the way to claim the skeeball machine that's paying out, and Lord knows you'll need a few rounds of DDR to work off those breadsticks you just inhaled. read more

I went to a kids birthday party at 8 pm on 2/4/2013. Apparently this is the place for ghetto families to throw a birthday party. A party got out of hand when two families starting fighting, and shoving, and swearing out loud for I don't know what. This place needs armed security, I am not even kidding. The sad thing is the people who were fighting were women who had like a 1 month old baby in their arms when they were throwing punches. Seeing a newborn baby in a middle of an adult altercation being thrown around like a ragdoll is an image I cant get out of my head. I dont know why the manager didnt call the authorities, these people dont need to be at this chuck e cheese to ruin everyone else's fun.This place got robbed a few years ago, strong armed robbery. Who the hell robs a busy chuck e cheese? Its like how much money would they have, everyone pays their parties by credit card. I dread going to this place after seeing what happened. The young manager had to break up the brawl before it got out of hand, he did a good job but the damage was done. Don't come here at night is my take on this. Thank god my kids party i threw here turned out smooth during the day. I think I will stick to Super Franks, Jumpy places or a simple bbq picnic from now on. The one beer limit per hours is a joke. People just go across the street ant the Hilton if they want a cocktail, or drink in the parking lot. Be careful people and bewar of your surroundings. If I could rate this location a half star, I would have. We had a terrible experience here! I have two children, 3YO and 7YO, and frequent CEC with them, their friends, and my nieces and nephews. We went to the Newark location for the first time because it was at the mid-way point for me, my mom, and my sister. My sister brought her two children, 3YO and 5YO. We arranged to meet at 11am (this location opens at 10am). My mom and I arrived at the same time (just shortly after 11am) and we waited in the Kid Check area and were not greeted by an employee, My sister arrived ten minutes later and we were still waiting for an employee. There were two employees eating meals at the tables but we were not addressed. There was another family waiting behind us. Finally, an employee came from the back and checked us in. We went straight to the front register and an employee was not available to take our order. Again, we waited in line, and finally a different employee came out of the back area, only to assist another guest with the ice cream machine. She returned to the register and took our order. She did not apologize for the wait and was not very courteous. We used a coupon from my e-mail and ordered two large pizza, drinks, and game tokens on one card. We had requested additional plates for our party but only received 4 plates. When we gave the kids their cards (we already had cards from a birthday party my sister hosted in February that we reloaded with the tokens purchased), my mom was going to buy bracelets for the kids to hold their cards. Again, we could not locate an employee to complete the purchase. When I went to fill my fountain drink, there was no ice in the machine. I found an employee in the back who was setting up for birthday parities. She was not wearing a uniform, not wearing shoes, and she was on her phone. When I told her there was no ice and asked for assistance at the register, she told me she would "get someone." There were not many people in the location, maybe 5 families total, and our pizza took well over half an hour to come out. I had to go to the unmanned register myself to get additional plates. Many of the games were out of order, especially the games on the side intended for smaller children, which was frustrating given that we had two toddlers. In addition, the games which take pictures of the kids were not printing any of the pictures. When we finally went to leave, there was only a single ticket machine in operation. And as with our prior experiences, we could not locate an employee to assist us with prizes. My mom went into the kitchen to retrieve an employee. I do not ever intend on visiting this location in the future. To me, this is unacceptable and not consistent with our experiences at other locations. My children were very disappointed in the experience, which was their last "free day" before school began. We spent over $75 on that visit and it felt like a complete waste of money. read more

What can you really say about this place? It's a necessary evil for children. They feed these machines with tokens like addicts at the slots. $20 = 70 tokens This amount lasted us maybe an hour? Depending on how skilled or lucky you are, you can get hundreds of tickets. Yes, hundreds, but definitely not thousands. Unfortunately thousands is what you want because that's the only amount that can get you worthwhile prizes. Otherwise, you're stuck with random rubber toys and Tootsie Rolls/Airheads. The Chuck E Cheese's around my neighborhood is one of the largest, but not the cleanest. I drove my little cousins from San Jose, all the way to Newark to celebrate one of their birthdays. I felt comfortable letting the kiddies run loose here because the place was small enough for me to keep an eye on all of them. The arcade games and rides weren't immaculate, but cleaner than what I have seen at other places. The staff was very friendly and the food is nothing to rave about, but as long as the kiddies had a blast--that's all that really matters! read more

Our experience here was really horrible and had traumatized my daughter when her shoulder bag with itouch and cellphone was stolen yesterday (09/21/13). Management did try to make you think they care but in fact they don't. All they said that they are not liable on any lost or stolen item. They will even discourage you on filing a police report. This is the dirtiest Chuck E Cheese that I've ever gone to. It's a Saturday night, but geez. Does anyone work here? The restrooms are disgusting, there is leftover food on EVERY table, and crap all over the floor. There were games that took your coins & some that wouldn't give you tickets. But there are no employees walking the gaming areas. A large number of the kids here are undisciplined and are climbing on machines and throwing things. My 2 year old was in the little kids' area riding a car and a kid climbed on the hood of it while it was moving and stood up. My 6 year old & I were playing air hockey and a kid purposefully shoots his toy in the middle of the table while we were playing. WHAT. IN. THE. HELL?! Who are these kids and where are their parents?! There is a kid running and dribbling a basketball through the gaming area and them shooting the ball 20-30 feet away from the game the basketball goes to. I'm just glad I'm visiting the area & this isn't my local Chuck E Cheese. My daughter left her bag there. My husband works nearby & retrieved it. Be aware of the sharp edges of the arcades. My son tripped and hit one of the corners. He ended up in the ER and had to get 3 stiches. A place designed for a child should be child proof. Once he got hurt, management informed me that they couldn't call an ambulance and they didn't have a phone to make such a call. It is very sad that these centers pride themselves for all the good that they offer the kids, but won't take necessary percautions to ensure the kids saftey. read more

This place is crazy! It's almost always packed here. I can go here at any time of day and be fighting a crowd but I guess it's not so bad. My son likes the mobs of people because often we'll leave and he'll have made a friend or two. The idea behind Chuck E Cheese is great. It's inexpensive fun for the whole family not to mention it loads the kids up on pizza, fun, and prizes so when you get home you know your little one will have a good night's sleep. This location isn't as roomy as the San Jose location. If I had the time to drive there between work and picking my son up from school then I would definitely choose that one but Fremont is more convenient. There are a lot of games and rides that are suitable for all ages. I think they're more appealing to ages 2-7ish as nothing's really too difficult and most give you tickets for just putting a token in. It used to be really stuffy inside but since the remodel there's a bit more room to walk around. There aren't many tubes to crawl in now, I think that's a good thing. My son is afraid of germs so he never wants to crawl around in there anyway but if he did I don't think I would let him. The big kids tend to take over that area so I'm sure if I let my little guy roam in there he'd get kicked in the face. Call me over protective but my ass if I'm going to throw down with a kid at Chuck E Cheese. Lol. The prices are reasonable for food and there are booths set up for you to park if you're not the type to follow your kids everywhere they go. The place is pretty small so you can keep a good watch if you're sitting down. The employees have been helpful everytime I go, no bad experiences yet *knock on wood*. As for cleanliness.... Eh it's alright. Hand sanitizer is a must at places like these whether it's clean or not, there's just too much traffic in the area to pass up cleaning your hands. Let me first start by stating that we visited the Chuck E Cheese in Cupertino CA July 2015 for my son's 4th birthday. They experience was amazing. The hostess made my family and I feel like she really wanted to make this the best birthday ever. For the Check E Cheese in Fremont CA I can't recommend this place without first notifying all my friends and family about what a horrendous experience we had for my daughter's 7th birthday. From the moment we got there we had nothing but problems. First problem: I would not find any employees who could tell me who was going to take my half a sheet cake out of my hands. Second problem: The princess cutout had my Name and not my daughter's on it. Third problem: Our party hostess "Yammy" informed me at our first encounter that "All our hostesses have mutinied and walked out, so we are running behind". I didn't see her again until it was time to take find out what kind of pizza and drinks we wanted for the children. She brought the pizza's out and the drink pitcher and we didn't see her again until 4:10pm when she brought the cake out (still in its box). The other parents that were in our party helped me to clear off the table from the pizza mess and also WE had to refill the pitcher of drink for the children. When the hostess brought the cake out she was carrying it by the sides only so there was a noticeable crack straight down the middle. During the actual party part involving Chuck E Cheese our hostess seemed less than interested. Actually sitting on the stage for the first 10 minutes of the party. When cutting the cake she actually used a serving utensil and mutilated the cake. I was horrified. After the cake eating portion of the party she did not return to tell us when the birthday star would be entering the ticket blaster so the other children went to play with the tokens . The hostess again emerged from her hiding place and asked if my daughter was ready for the ticket blaster. I had to hunt my child down in order for her to be able to do it. After the ticket blaster the hostess seemed eager for me to pay my bill and I informed her that I wanted to speak with management. She wasn't so eager after that statement. Our initial party time was 3:00pm and the Chuck E Cheese portion didn't start until 4:10pm. We were told two different start times after I had to ask two separate employees because I couldn't find my hostess. Fourth problem: After reviewing my email with what was supposed to be included in my daughters party I realized that she was never given her tiara, cape, or 1000 ticket voucher. So disappointed to this place. My daughter just had her Birthday party 3 weeks ago. The host that was assign to us doesn't know what she is doing. I have to constantly remind her about our orders. I have paid super mega package for the kids and didn't get what I paid for. Chuck e cheese stayed for 5 minutes then Rome around and never came back at party. I personally choose this place so I don't have to worry about anything and hoping that I can relax and entertain the guest but instead have to watch and coach our host what to do. Hassle free-----not anymore... Have to constantly remind hour host that I purchased the super mega package. Kids didn't get enough tokens, they didn't get their ice cream and piñata... My daughter didn't get the recognition from Chuck e cheese for the tiera and cape... Very bad experienced......So disappointed! read more
