Bronco Billy's used to be one of my favorite pizza spots in Fremont, so I was genuinely looking forward to stopping by while I was in the area. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The pizza came out noticeably burnt, and by the time I realized how overcooked it was, I was already headed home and live too far away to make the trip back. It was one of those meals you eat because you already paid for it, not because you enjoyed it. I know every restaurant can have an off day, which is why I'm not writing them off completely. But when you're paying for a quality pizza, you expect it to be cooked with a little more care and consistency. Not sure why Bronco Billy's has less than 4 stars, but from when I first had it recently, it was quite delicious! I'm actually not a big pizza person, but my boyfriend wanted some pizza. I ordered the Bill Durham without salami, and added mushroom and spinach. Service was speedy. When I got home, I took a bite of the pizza and it was so good! I actually ended up eating 3 slices, lol. We stopped by during the Niles Spring Fever Car Show to check out my husband's friend's cars. I was expecting food trucks, but there weren't any, so the few food spots in the area were absolutely overwhelmed with the crowd. I hadn't eaten lunch, so we decided to grab pizza, but it ended up being quite the wait. When we ordered, their receipt printer wasn't working, but the guy assured us it would be fine since they had our name. About 40 minutes later, we checked back and still no pizza. After asking a few times, it was finally ready after about an hour. We ended up sitting outside on the metal lounge chairs, starving at that point, and dug into the Chicken Coupe Deluxe. The pizza itself was actually pretty solid. The crust was perfect, crispy and well done, and the cheese was generous. The chicken pieces were large and hearty. My only gripe is that it felt like it was lacking base sauce and could've used a bit more garlic for flavor. That said, the long wait definitely put a damper on the experience. It would've been nice if they acknowledged it in some small way, especially given the circumstances. Overall, the pizza is good, especially if you're into a great crust. I frequently eat out in Fremont and have even lived here for a year but this was my first time at Bronco Billy's. My wife has always been wanting to take me but time never really allowed it until now. I gotta say their pizza is one of the best pizzas I've had from a local spot in a while. Fresh or as a leftover it was still good. The vibe inside matches the location of Niles where it's a little old school inside that has tables as well as bar seating. If you're ordering for to go there's a register right by the entrance. My only knock on this place was that the worker at the time questions almost all the things I said when ordering my pizzas but now that I think about it, it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm giving this place five stars not because it's the best pizza in the world, but because it's excellent in all the ways that I care about in a local pizza joint and consistent in that. If you're looking for a reliable great pizza, this place delivers. (Figuratively speaking; they may not do actual deliveries, I ate there in person.) The place has an old-timey Wild West theme that fits the character of historic Niles perfectly. Pizzas are delivered hot and the crust has a delicious flavor with good balance - I always finish off the entire slice, no pizza bones left by me. While visiting the downtown Niles shops, we decided to stop into BB's for a pizza lunch. BB's was also recommended by of a family member who is a fan. This place is set up pretty well. It has a bar layout except the bar part is a counter. There are a few beers on tap and wine is available along with numerous canned beverages. We split a small pepperoni pizza. It came out quickly. The dough was very lite, fluffy and delicious, the cheese was creamy and the large diameter peperoni was full of flavor and had a bit of a cup and char flavor profile. Everyone has an opinion on what a great pizza should be and IMO this was one of the very good ones in the Bay Area. Great place run by nice folks, worth giving it a go. read more

He ordered one Chuck Wagon pizza, one pepperoni pizza, and a Bronco cheeseburger. We went right when they opened for an early lunch, so there was no wait. We were helped right away by a very sweet girl, thank you so much for the great service! Unfortunately, when we got home, both pizzas were undercooked. The Chuck Wagon was more undercooked than the pepperoni. The slices wouldn't hold up and fell apart because the dough was still very doughy, which made the pizza soggy. The pepperoni pizza is my favorite from Bronco Billy's, so this was disappointing because it's usually on point. Taste was definitely there, but I ended up having to bake both pizzas in my oven for a few more minutes. The Bronco cheeseburger was good, and my son really enjoyed it. We have always enjoyed Branco Billy's but after today's experience, we won't be returning. Ordered take-out and told upon arrival that for orders over $75 they now REQUIRE a tip. It's not optional. In my opinion, tipping is a customer's way of saying 'thank you' for good service. Bronco Billy's made my pizza and I'm paying for the food but I'm picking it up. They're not serving me. What am I tipping for? Taking my credit card number? I was even more annoyed that I was only informed of this new policy when I arrived to pick up my order, not over the phone when I placed my order. I should have said I no longer wanted the pizza but I was so surprised and taken aback that I just added the tip and left. I won't be doing that again. It's been years since I had Bronco Billy's. The last time I dine is from a different location that's near the high school I go to, but unfortunately, they closed it. So I had to go to the one at Niles since it's closer to where I live. The place is like a bar since it's small and that 50% of the space includes furniture that relates to what the bar has. They have nice portraits that they displayed. Also, I didn't get a chance to dine here because I went during the weekend and it was full when I arrived. So I went on a Friday and it was rarely any people here. The pizza slices are between $9-15 I believe depending on how toppings that you added, but they're very big. Honestly, idk why they're called slices when they look like a whole pie except that the shape is different. A slice doesn't normally look like that, but that's fine. The pizzas are really good though, but there's slightly more bread that I tasted than their toppings. Also, the pizza crusts are crunchy and kind of hard. However, it's still a good place to eat pizza. I recommend that you come here during the weekday and for weekends, it's really tough since many people come here at that time. Bronco Billy's and specifically the Niles location will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up living on Old Canyon Road and have been smashing this pizza down ever since I was a little kid in the 90's. This place is so fun and unique, and could not be in a cooler place of town. Service has always been fantastic, even with the changing faces over the years, and the pizza remains consistent and undefeated. This pizza has always had such a unique taste, and I have found nothing like it anywhere around the country that I've been. 5 stars is such an understatement, let's call it 7 stars... I have forced countless people to try Broncos when they are in the area, and have personally taken people down to try it even though I don't even live in CA anymore. Took my 4 year old son exploring and antiquing for a fun father-son day and stopped in for a slice of pizza. The restaurant was busier than I thought for 2:30 on a Wednesday but the service was quick and sweet; they made me and my boy feel right at home going out of their way to offer all the toddler dine-in must haves (separate little plate, water with a lid and straw, & friendly interactions) We ordered a slice each that was hot and ready in about 10 minutes. For a picky toddler, even with pizza, my son happily ate his slice of cheese pizza while I scarfed down my slice of bbq chicken pizza. 10/10 in regards to crust, sauce, and toppings. I've been wanting to try out Bronco Billy's Pizza for a while. I've heard wonderful things about it. So when we suggested it, our family said sure! So we finally got to try out their pizza. In short, the bread/crust *chef's kiss*....that's all I'm going to say. L O C A T I O N Bronco Billy's Pizza Niles is located in the Downtown Niles District. There's street parking as well as a parking lot across but that can be taken over by the Farmer's Market so it's challenging on Saturdays. Street parking is only 2 hours long so we had to actually park, then repark as our time limit was up and didn't want to challenge the parking meter attendants if they're strict about it. I N S I D E Well first outside someone was selling their banana bread which was awesome. Inside, there's a few long tables on one side as well as bar seating on the other. There are tvs to watch and there's only 1 bathroom which was a challenge since I had to brush my teeth due to dental issues at the moment. It's more like a bar environment. I saw many locals who were just hanging out eating some appetizers and watching the game. M E N U It's a pizza place so they have pizza. You can'd do substitutions for their specialty pizza so you might as well create your own with the toppings you want. There are appetizers, sandwiches as well as burgers. We opted for 2 of the specialties and one custom order of pepperoni and olives. We ordered 3 medium sized pizzas and it easily fed 6 adults and 1 kid and we had leftovers. I think we could've gotten away with 2 mediums and a small. Toppings were plentiful and the bread/crust was pillowy and crunchy and just something about it. I could just eat that crust all day. Now if you're not a crust person, you are not going to like this place. It's very crust forward. I would come back just for that crust. S E R V I C E It was fine. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering everything is made fresh. They got us our drinks and pretty hands off after everything was served. We did call to see if there was space for us beforehand and they said they did. I don't know how busy this place gets so when we went there wasn't a lot of people and we easily got seated. Best pizza in Fremont. Some of the best gluten free crust I've had. The 'slice' is massive and reasonably priced. GF is slightly more, only available in size medium, and worth the extra money imo. I crave their BBQ pizza. When I'm PMSing it's all I want and I'm thankful for the medium size so I can have leftovers for multiple days. That's maybe TMI but the best testament to this pizza I can give. Only complaint is the ranch is Ken's (not great) and 50 cents. Bonus points that this is in Niles. So anyway I heard this pizza is super iconic so I had to come here with a bunch of friends we ordered the first pizza on the menu which had a bunch of things which is reminiscent of a combination pizza but also the Hawaiian and pepperoni as well. We also got potato skins and mozzarella sticks which were pretty good appetizers for our little group. Service was typical the value is pretty good as well and who doesn't love pizza. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my family. When we entered the store, we were told to pick a seat anywhere. There are tables, but you could also choose to sit at the bar. There were a variety of options for pizza, sandwiches, and chicken wings. You could get each pizza in 4 different sizes: slice, small, medium or large. We opted for two slices and some lemon pepper wings for a group of four, and we were surprised by the amount of food! Each pizza came with 6 slices. The crust was well cooked and the toppings were generous. The chicken wings were nicely cooked as well, but the lemon flavor was very strong so it was a bit sour. The decorations were interesting and gave off a casual vibe. The staff were very friendly and gave us some suggestions on what to order since it was our first time. Since it's located on the main road in Niles, there's no dedicated parking, but street parking and a parking lot across the street is available. Actually, for me and my friend Bronco Billy's pizza Niles has the best pizza ever!! ME personally, I prefer to order their sliced pizzas, the chuck wagon and pineapple ham. If I have been invited to a BBQ, birthday party or event and it was a BYOF, I will. This way my family and friends can test and try their pizza themselves. I LOVE their food. I tend to order my pizza beforehand because they normally have a long line depending on the day. In regards to their customer service, I've never had an issue and when ordering over the phone be prepared to pay via credit card.
