Great place to bring the kids the pizzas ok lots of fun activities my son likes to play the Transformers game with Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Unfortunately they don't have that game here at this location but still a lot of fun. Grown ups can have some beer watch the kids run around. The best part is the games are very inexpensive compared to going to the arcade by the roller coaster Mission Beach this is about 1/10 of the price. On Saturdays I could be a long line in the line tends to move a little bit slow but overall great experience but the people that work here. I recommend getting the cheese pizza has a lot of flavor the salad bar is really nice, nothing special on the salad bar but if you're trying to be healthy. They really have something for everyone here. PS Don't forget to look online for the coupon I forgot mine and they were able to help me find it through my mobile device the $20 for 100 tokens to really good deal you can play games here for over a week and still have half your tokens left. This was my first time at this location. I have to say that I feel like Chuck E. Cheese's overall are generally under staffed. The girl at the counter seemed overwhelmed and a little rude. There was a guy there didn't catch his name but he was calm and collected and seemed to be trying to get things done quickly. He was attentive and apologetic. We visited on a Tuesday and they have a Tuesday pizza special. The website says two large pizzas for 22 dollars. The girl said at there location it was two for 26 dollars. The website was wrong. The pizza wait was 45 minutes and there were hardly any people inside. I mean it was a Tuesday. Lol. The facility itself was clean. One of the cleanest Chuck E. Cheese locations that I have been to. I liked that. I also like that games are not too expensive to play. You have to buy a game card, but it's reloadable so keep it for next time. You can choose to load it with unlimited play for X amount of minutes or pay an X amount for so many points. Most games are a point or two to play. Also, every once and a while Chuck E. Cheese will come out and have a dance party with the kids. When he is done he will throw tickets for the kids to grab! Awesome! Overall, it's a good time. The staff was very nice, the games are very fun, and the food was tasty. It was a little bit busy so there was a wait to order and to get prizes but that was expected for Memorial Day weekend so I don't blame them. The guests here are crazy though: the staff was so friendly and nice and trying to handle an upset guest but the guest became so aggressive and angry. He manager Robert didn't deserve to be yelled at I could tell he was doing his best. The guest was so loud we could hear him through all of the music and the kids playing. Went here yesterday and omg.. the min you open the door the smell of old kid vomit hits you in the face. It's a pretty small area.. the employees don't even smile. They look like they don't want to be there. The tables were dirty. Some of the games were broken. Not much to play. Bathrooms were disgusting. No refills either??!!! I took my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese's last night so she could play with her Pre-School classmate. We also met up with her classmates parents t get to know them a little better. I hadn't taken my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese's for a long time, now I know why. I ordered the Munch and Play combo, they have three different combos. You get more tokens (25,50,100), and one more drink with each level (2,3,4), I ordered the first one. I got 1 large pizza, 2 regular drinks, 1 Medium Drink, 1 Salad Bar, 1 12 piece Buffalo Wings, and 25 tokens for 52 dollars. I had to order the Salad Bar ($8), Buffalo Wings ($9 and small), and the Medium drink extra. I really see no Value at this place. I been to Peter Piper Pizza and they have Family Combos with all the food I ordered in 1 combo much cheaper. I really am surprised that this place is busy in this current economy. I really think this place is only for a special occasion. I'll just take my Daughter back to Pat and Oscars where she likes the food much more, and I'll spend a lot less. I ended up here with family that was visiting from Arizona and decided to hang out in San Diego. Three little kids made this place a good stop for a few hours. As seems to be the case with most Chuck-E-Cheeses, there were a ton of games that were either completely broken or malfunctioning to the point of not working properly. The pizza was actually pretty decent. We got a Cheesesteak creation of some sort, plus a typical pepperoni pizza for the kids. The staff was pretty accommodating. There's something about the unsupervised kids ramming through a Chuck E. Cheese that can make a good person consider having their tubes tied. This is not the best place to take your honey if you want to encourage them to build a family with you. As far as Chuck E. Cheese restaurants go...this is a decent one on certain levels. It's newer than some of them so it hasn't had a chance to decay too much yet. It has a good assortment of the usual games. That said, we attended a birthday party here recently. I would never hold a kid's birthday party here. The staff here cranked out their usual paint by the numbers party. They lite the candles...the 5 year old blew them out too soon for his wish or for the pictures and believe it or not...the "waiter" assigned to us balked at relighting them....saying, "He blew 'em out already!" They forgot to bring us forks with which to eat the cake and then gave me attitude when I asked for some. They boot you out the very instant your two hour party allotment is finished. They toss you a few "to go" boxes and demand you box up your own food or let them throw it out. If you buy a beer from these people...be prepared to pay premium prices for a foamy pour of second rate suds. No matter how many hours you spend at any Chuck E. Cheese...you could spend all day their with your family...popping money into their games...they couldn't care less...you're restricted to a maximum of two beers for the entire day. Their menu is extremely limited. Their pizza makes the frozen pizzas from your local Ralph's seem like gourmet fare in comparison. Their salad bar is probably the best thing there and it's only barely passable to mediocre. A number of the games gobble your tokens without giving you any play. They have only one person assigned to the floor and authorized to refund your money. If you go...this one at least provides ample parking. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices couldn't be more reasonable, especially if you get a coupon from the Sunday paper or get them sent to your email. It's not perfect ofcourse. The bathroom isn't always very clean. Once in a blue moon a game machine will steal a token from you. But I don't think I've ever been to an arcade where a machine hasn't stolen a money from me. We stood in line behind only two people and the store was not busy at all for a friday night. It took 4 employees to figure out how to make coffee for the guy in front of me. They got to me and took my order at 6:24pm. At 7:22 I still had not received my order. This is my favorite location by far in San Diego, i like how large it is and the selection of games, also most games are working properly which is great. This is the only one I've been to that. Chuck e actually came out and danced with the kids. But i don't know if they are understaffed or the staff just doesn't care. The girl who was supposed to be at the entrance was always talking to the guy working at the counter to the point people had to call for her to get in. This place was nasty. The ranch at the salad bar looked like some brown stuff was poured i to it. There was no ice. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned and smelled terrible. Now, it could be the fact that I'm not a five year old kid anymore, but I was really disappointed by this place. This Chuck E. Cheese is awesome. Theres a closer one to my house, but its always messy, there's always games out of service, and the fountain drink dispenser is always broken. So my family's main choice is this Sports Arena location. This place is always clean, bigger lay out, great staff, and plenty of games for all ages. I reserved my son's bday party here and it was great!! It was my first time reserving (online reserve) and I was a little worried about how things would turn out. When we got there we were greeted by our hostess and store manager. Our hostess, Ashley, did a fantastic job walking us thru the menu options, and told us better deal combos. She was awesome!! Chuck E Cheese's is certainty not a place that I look forward to going to but my daughter really does love it. The games are fairly inexpensive and the prizes are as well. They also allow you to purchase the prizes with cash if you didn't earn enough tickets (its actually way cheaper to buy the prizes). The pizza is about what I remember from my high school cafeteria but to a kid its great. Many of the games are cheap and or broken but again the kids seem to love it. Although my daughter prefers Dave and Busters hands down, its a cheap alternative that she is always happy with. read more
