    Basket of Fries

2nd best fried chicken I've ever had, but best fried chicken in Arnold! Wings were delicious and crunchy! We got level 0, 1, and 2. There wasn't not a huge difference between spice levels 1-2. Might have to try 3 next time. The beer cheese was phenomenal! I would definitely recommend it! Staff was also very friendly, let us know the wait time for our food and handed it directly to use when it was ready.

Hot chicken sandwich, fries and slaw take out. Very good!

I'm a big fan of Nashville hot chicken sandwiches and I've dined at some of the best places for it while traveling especially in Nashville at the famous Hattie B's Hot Chicken Restaurant that is for me the best that I've ever had. So I was so happy that Chuck's Hot Chicken Restaurant opened a franchise outlet near me in suburban Arnold, Missouri since I had ate at the original Chuck's location in Maryland Heights a few times after it originally opened. Since they have no seating at the store I brought my sack of food home for lunch and gave my chicken and fries a minute in the microwave to warm it back up and I will say it's a great hot chicken sandwich and the fries and slaw were awesome sides as well. I think it's one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've had in the St. Louis area outside a few restaurants that are no longer in business. Also I ordered the spice level that is the next to hottest hot chicken and although it was spicy, to me it wasn't super hot but then again I have a high tolerance for spicy heat. I'll order the hottest next time. One criticism however is that they could use a better ventilation in their store and perhaps some tables and chairs outside and provide a small dining area. Although it was kinda smoky in there at least it smelled great. Service was quick and I had my food in 10 minutes of ordering during the busy midday lunchtime.

That was the grossest chicken I have ever had! I got the 6pcs jumbo wings and my girlfriend got the 3pcs boneless. When I got home and opened my box the wings were floating in grease! The Mac n cheese was very bland and my girlfriend's coleslaw was mush, it was puréed not chewy. This cost over $35. I had to throw the wings in the trash. We will never eat there again. Man

However, I've noticed a recurring issue with the ranch cups--they're often only filled a quarter to halfway. It would be a significant improvement if the standard portion of ranch was a consistently full cup, as it really enhances the meal.

Absolute garbage... This store is in Arnold, MO. I ordered 4 subs and it cost me nearly 50…read moredollars.. There were 3 people working and it took what seemed like 20 minutes.. The guy at the front taking orders looked either stoned or he just woke up.. I told him NO TOMATOES on two of the subs..twice.. I also ordered one medium Fry.. He seemed like he didn't want to be there. The guy making the subs was listening to hip hop songs with the lyrics of, and I quote "she sucked my dick", while my 14 year old daughter listened on... When the subs finally came out, and they called my order, the fries were not in the bag.. They offered to make some, but I was t about to wait 20 more minutes for medium fries. Besides, the guy at the order station didn't even put them on there... When we got home, one of the subs that I asked for no tomatoes on had tomatoes... The store itself was dirty, with open container drinks from the employees sitting next to the food prep area... Dirty work area, tables, floors.. Subs were bland and had very little meat.. definitely not worth 50 bucks. This was our FIRST TIME ever trying Penn Station.. It reminded me of gas station food. Looks like I can scratch this place off the list ..Ill re-post in a week to let you guys know if I developed food poisoning or not.. Also... out of the 3 person staff, the kid wearing the Blues hat was the only one remotely doing his job..

We recently came here for the second time and met some friends for dinner. It was their first time…read moreeating at the Twisted Tavern. Everything our group ordered was delicious! What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).
