    Tonkatsu Ramen bowl
    Jeffrey E.

A nice convenient place in Terminal C to grab some warm ramen and get some computer work done before my flight. All of the ingredients and flavors were fresh and above average as far as airport ramen goes. Only thing preventing this from getting 5 stars is the price. $22 for not such a large bowl is pretty steep in my opinion especially since I needed to order an extra order of wings afterwards to satisfy my appetite. I would stop by again for the convenience.

Excellent Ramen, good food for an airport, C gates in terminal C at LGA. Not a big fan of ordering from my phone app, but that is the way of the world at airports now! Service was still very good. Pricey, but it is LGA!

Really good for airport dining! With the renovations to LaGuardia Airport, these eateries are at their best. Chuko Ramen and Essex Burger now share expanded seating. This was great as we could order from either and still eat together. The menu is scannable on the table. You order online and then a waiter quickly delivers your food. We ordered soy ramen with roasted pork and soy marinated egg and a spicy tuna roll for $39.27 including tip and an essex burger (double patty with fries) for $24.08 including tip. Under normal circumstances, this is totally overpriced but it is solid airport food with no wait. Would eat here again.

A surprisingly good airport lunch! I had two sushi hand rolls. Both were delicious. Service was fast. Would definitely eat here again.

We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

Located inside New World Mall Food Court on the second floor. Very close to the 7 train. Cute ambiance of the lanterns. This booth particularly is towards the back of the food hall. I usually get the Japanese-Styled Chicken Ramen because it's the most affordable for its price value ($12.50). No tax has been added to the total. Love how it also has the most pieces of meat compared to other ramen bowls on the menu. I think the number of meat pieces has been increased for the better this time. Would say there're about 15-20 pieces in total compared to the 8-9 pieces two years ago. Got there at 8:40pm and the food hall is about to close in 20 mins. Quickly ordered, paid, waited 10 mins max in the seating area, and then received my food shortly afterwards. Staff is polite + patient + generous. Chowed everything down in 15 minutes or so. Noodles: Savory + Flavorful Bamboo Shoots: Crunchy + Fresh Half Soft Boiled Egg: Soft + Golden Chicken: Tender + Well Seasoned Seaweed: Melts on my tongue Sweet Corn: Lightly sweetened on its own. Ramen Soup/Broth: Savory without being salty. Would always go back to this particular booth for other scrumptious udon and noodle dishes along with the appetizers. My stomach just feels so warm and satisfying right now.

Here's the quirky bit: in addition to the price of the ramen, you will be temporarily charged an extra $5 as a deposit for the bowl. I'm a fan of this because it ensures there's no plastic waste from each serving. (Mother Earth approves this message.) Other stores around the food court should totally adopt this technique. It's just more sustainable, and who doesn't want to save the planet while slurping noodles? Now, onto the ramen itself: it was decently good and satisfying. Honestly, I'm not sure how authentic this ramen would be considered, but it sure did taste pretty good. (Did it teleport me to Japan? Not really since I've never been in Japan. Did it make my taste buds do a happy dance? Absolutely.) I didn't think it was bad at all, but then again, my ramen expertise is about as deep as a kiddie pool. Here Dawan Ramen, take my 4 stars.

Mr. KeKe Ramen in Queens is located on the outskirts of Downtown Flushing, about one-and-half blocks north of Northern Boulevard. We ordered at the kiosk by the door, then sat down and waited for the food to be brought to us. The kiosk didn't give us a paper receipt. Take a picture of the screen if needed for record-keeping. We ordered: - Special Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork Soup: $13.99; $15.23 with tax. We ordered this with soba noodles. The char siu (pork) slices were good, if a little small, and the noodles were OK, but my companion thought the soup was a little thin and might have had a tinny taste. The half-egg was not marinated. The wood ear mushroom slices could have been cooked slightly longer. - Taiwanese Chicken Potstickers: $6.99; $7.61 with tax. The potstickers seem to have been store-bought instead of house-made. The potstickers seemed like they were steamed to reheat, and then lightly pan-fried, but their overall texture was that of gummy, steamed dumplings. Food is served in plastic bowls and on paper plates, with disposable cutlery. Suggested tips are calculated on post-tax subtotals, and start at 15%.

The actual space is pretty nice and gives a family restaurant in a good way. It was a little awkward with the waitresses, who seemed to be on the quieter side, but nonetheless, they were kind. I got the abalone in the ponzu sauce ($8) and the wagyu beef sukiyaki lunch set ($21). The abalone was actually really good, and as my first time trying something like that, it was well worth it. The wagyu set was also pretty filling and very much worth the price. It came with a salad, an egg soufflé, sliced lotus root, pickled ginger, and rice. The actual sukiyaki was light and slightly sweet, but refreshing. I love that they packed it with vegetables in the sukiyaki. They even give you a complimentary ice cream at the end of your meal. The only thing that docked a point for me was that one other table, and I was the only one present at the restaurant, and there were two waitresses, and I believe another man was working, not too sure what his role was. All three of them would continuously check up on the other table, whereas I would have to flag them down if I needed anything. I noticed them making small conversation with the other table, but they would not really speak to me. It felt a little weird, given that we were the only two tables and somehow they had three people check up on them, and I had zero. The servers were still nice when I flagged them down, but it was just a little strange to be given that treatment. I'm hoping it was just an off day, as I do want to go back and try the other items. The menu was extensive, so I'm really interested in seeing what the other items are like.

The food came out quick! Their kitchen is in the basement and they have the dumb waiter sending up food, so very efficient use of space. The Dumplings in Chili Oil (can adjust spice level and cilantro) has added texture with crushed peanuts. We got the regular spicy, but could have gotten extra spicy. They were a decent appetizer but I'd go for something else. The Abalone and Chicken Rice Noodles had decent chicken flavor. There were a couple pieces of dark meat, which I enjoyed. Not sure if there was abalone in here, but if there was, it was nondescript. The rice noodles were well cooked. The Plum Juice had a lovely smokey flavor, along with a lemony flavor form the couple of lemon slices inside. It was not too sweet, though I personally could go for less sugar. Overall, a decent spot for rice noodles. They do have multiple locations, so go to the one near you! No need to go out of your way.
