Went in this morning for breakfast. The place is very small yet cozy. Also looked very clean. The attendee was an older Hispanic lady, super nice. There is only one person that can take your order at a time so it makes it a little slow. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on croissant with a drink. When I saw my receipt it was almost $9, little pricey compared to neighboring bakeries that provide a lot more for less. I waited, received my bag and left. When I checked my order once I got to work it was wrong. I had scrambled eggs with Cuban toast. Although the order was wrong the food was pretty good so It was an honest mistake. Would probably go back but make sure I check my order next time. read more

They are so unorganized and the quality of the food is not consistent. Sometimes the pastries taste great and other times is horrible(over baked). The owner needs to hire better people. Good luck trying to call in an order. They don't even ask for your name and then when you try to pick up the order they can't find it. We have been coming here since it was Tati's and we loved it. When they took over we were not too happy with the quality of the food. They have definitely stepped it up. The people are friendly and the food is fresh. Really enjoy the croquetas, pastelitos, tostada and cafe con leche. They are way better than Vicky Bakery. If you haven't tried them, you should. They have the best guava and cheese pastelitos. read more

I'm giving this establishment 1 star because if I could give 0 I would!!!! I've been going here for years when it was "Tati's bakery". It was simply delicious. The croquetas were ALWAYS so fresh. All the food was fresh and good. Now that it's Chuli's bakery, they don't give a flying fuck if they give you 2 day old food. There was a man once there every morning. He took care of me and made my croquetas fresh but now that he's gone, one of the ladies at front refuses to give me the service this paying customer deserves. I used to go there every morning but I will not return. It's a waste of money when the pastries are not fresh. I literally throw it away because that's where it belongs, the trash. Don't waste your money going here. *edit*....... So recently my schedule has changed. I've been going in for coffee and a few croquettes because it's close to my house and usually very quick. The freshness of the croquettes are much better than before. (Sometimes) Right when I walk in, the lady up front (she calls herself the owner but I can't believe it) decided to Call me out about my review above. How UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! How can you call yourself the owner of an establishment but get upset when people have critiques? She was getting frustrated when talking to me because her English is not very good AT ALL. I have ordered the catina here for the past two weeks. First week went great although this week, I received extremely rude customer service. Monday I made it before 4 and I heard the lady running the bakery talking about me in the back. She then proceeded to get upset with me because I made it there late, when on the door it says they close at 5:30 and on google it says 4, so first, please fix your hours. Then I came to pick up my food once again, I walk in the door and the same lady says "this girl has been driving me crazy" in Spanish. Mind you, the only thing I have done is paid for the cantina for the week and picked it up. I barely have talked to this lady so I'm not sure what her deal was with me. Not sure if she knows I understand Spanish but it is extremely sad to deal with rude people like this. Food is great but due to this experience I will not plan on ever coming back. read more

I use to come to this spot when it was Tatis Bakery but now that it's Chulis it's just sloppy. Won't come here ever again. People are inefficient at processing orders you'll be there forever for something that takes a minute. The food quality is stale and flavorless. We (myself and staff) from a local business, come here almost everyday, today we had ordered a large amount of colombian empanadas and coffee as usual, we called to notified the staff that they were not fried properly and was just a mess. The girls ask us to come in to get a refund and was very apologetic. When we when to get the refund the manager/boss was so rude, telling us he was not going to give a refund and didn't care to lose us as a customer since he had plenty more. I came here today to eat breakfast with my fiancé and it was wonderful! Everybody who works here is so friendly and sweet I love it! You can tell the food is freshly made everyday the pastelitos are to die for and the croquettas. I would recommend this place to anybody. It's extremely clean as well the eggs, bread, and coffee is amazing. I'm for sure making the drive to this bakery it's worth it! I would love to give this place atleast 4 stars but I just can't. You call ahead to have fresh pastellitos and you still get stale day old pastellitos that are not fresh at all. Out of about 4 times that we have ordered pastellitos with meat 3 times it was just not fresh at all. I spoke with the owner one day and he made sure I had fresh ones because I had made a complaint about the batch I had received earlier. Besides that time they weren't fresh at all. Giving the food a 4 because it is delicious! It is seasoned true to the Cuban flavors I grew up with and everything from the croquetas, to the sandwiches are yummy. However, with the new regulations due to Covid, making sure EVERYONE who enters the place wears a mask, should be mandatory. Just because the owner knows the guy who comes in, doesn't mean he should allow this customer to sit inside, eat a pastelito, carry on a conversation, all without a mask! I was grossed out, concerned and for now will not be returning. When the pastries are fresh, they're to die for. Unfortunately, as other customers noted, you never know when the ones they give you are fresh or not. They don't care, they just give you whatever is there. They should at least tell people when something is made.
