This is my first time at this location. It is the closest one to Chinatown. I kinda wish they reopened the one Chinatown location because it's one of my favorite boba tea shops. This is a small shop on Tribeca, closest to Fulton Street. The service was pretty standard. There were two gentleman working when I came to visited. They just took the order and made the drinks. Alright service, feels Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea w/ Boba - such a refreshing drink! Light, no bitterness, and smooth. Tasted like many osmanthus oolong we've had, so also consistent. I'd say this is a solid pick when parched but not looking for a full on sugary drink. Black Tea Latte w/ Boba - boba was alright. Had an okay chew but definitely could be better. I tried the mango mountain tea - a good tea and light, mango was cut up chunks in the drink so somewhat less easy to clear with the straw. Two seats and one small counter space. They got a wide array of drinks now and paper menus to peruse all their specialties in 2 sizes. Very cozy and small under scaffolds. There's no dine in at all. It's just grab and go in this spot. I got their osmanthus oolong tea latte in medium size and the lady who was helping me guessed my sugar and ice levels correctly. I was shocked at how accurate she was. I love how it tasted but not so much the color of the drink. Thought the drink was too light in color. Looked like it did not have enough tea at all. It looks like it is all drenched in milk. The drink tasted really good with the honey. I can taste the osmanthus tea aroma in my mouth. Also the ice melted really fast into the drink. Did not change the taste of the drink though. At day's end having suffered a blatant malevolent dining-in experience, I needed a cool down with bubble tea. At long last there was no line in front of me here at Chun Yang Tea and ordering was average. I specifically requested 30% sugar which, this time, I reviewed the order screen monitor for correction. I choose less sugar to watch my sugar intake level for health reasons. There are two Japanese maneki-neko 招き猫 beckoning cats at the ordering counter and by the window ledge blessing the business, greeting customers, serving as a good luck revered position and decoration. However, these beckoning cats do not raised its paw. There are also Japanese Bonsai trees serving as nice decoration. It reminisce of my past visit to Tokyo, Japan. This Tribeca Chun Yang Tea location has the same octagon floor tiles business name as their counterpart Chinatown location. Peach Oolong tea, medium $6.75 My drink order was fulfilled to the tee with 30% sugar, regular ice and including my default topping grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉. For a exorbitant price of $1.00 topping high quality should not be compromised and the grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 was very minimal, but tasted average. The Oolong tea was good. There are small pieces of peach fruit included which tasted stale as it was hard, but was not affixed to the grass jelly. There was sufficient ice and my cup was profusely sweating with condensation during my long-haul subway ride home. The cup is very thin plastic as I can easily poke a hole with my finger. My drink did enable me to achieve a phlegmatic disposition. Nota Bene: This business currently sits under aggravating scaffolding. Stopped by here on a long walk south and was pleasantly surprised to find this boba gem in Tribeca of all places. Why do rich people get all the nice places? The Kumquat Green Tea with boba was well-steeped and pleasantly bright, with perfectlt cooked, perfectly kiu kiu boba. The staff at this Chun Yang is incredibly friendly though, & I appreciate their recommendations for drink customizations. I almost made the mistake of ordering the Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea with 70% sugar & was told that 30% might be more palatable. They were right - it was the perfect sugar level for the drink! I've been here twice now, and the drinks are always perfectly made and incredibly refreshing. For ~$7 a drink, it's definitely pricey. But the quality of the tea is great, and they don't skimp on boba or other toppings. Update: the raspberry oolong tea at 30% sweetness is SO tasty and refreshing. No restrooms available and the standing room isn't much but enough to stop and refresh with some a/c and then be on your way. I saw it on the map when I was in the area and found it by following the direction. :) Today I got their Passion Fruit Green Tea with Aiyu jelly. The cashier nicely recommended the topping to me so I gave it a try. But it turns out I didn't like it too much. I usually prefer aloe jelly in my drink so I would expect something similar, but aiyu jelly is soft and no flavor in my opinion. I think the passion fruit flavor in the drink is not strong enough. I love their teas. You can taste the actual tea leaves, instead of the artificial flavors you'd get at other bubble tea shops. I'm a big fan of the cheese foam topping, but I venture throughout their large offerings and I'm usually happy with what I get there. Staff there is very friendly and helpful. They give guidance. I felt disrespected when my order had a genuine mistake (not by intention) how the store staff addressed the situation. No one intentionally likes to place wrong order /waste orders. Staff re- preparing the order threw the straw on the counter with aggressive and anger body language. There was no verbal acknowledgment towards the apology shared to the staff. When in business there might be situation where customer can make order mistake again not intentionally it would be helpful for store owner to consider this in training how tp handle situations with grace. read more

She said the brown sugar taste was strong, and you really can't go wrong with this drink. I got the raspberry oolong with less sugar, and it was the perfect sweetness for me. To my surprise it came with bits of raspberry. We waited outside since the store was crowded due to the grand opening and the staff, even though they were busy, were SO nice and came out to give us our drinks when we didn't hear our number called. The customer service is always top tier. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when you come in. They have no problem helping you pick out something even if it's your first or tenth time going there. And with there top 10 drink choosing a drink makes thing easier.
