By far my favorite food truck that comes to my work! I've been eating their Taiwanese Fried Chicken pretty much once a week for a whole year, and it absolutely never disappoints. Never dry, flavorful, and always crunchy - if that isn't the mark of consistency I don't know what is. Portion size is pretty good as well, especially when compared to other food trucks. It's super hard finding Taiwanese restaurants anywhere in the US so I'm glad this food truck is parked right outside of the Amazon offices every day during lunch which makes it really convenient to go to. The dongpo pork is my favorite thing to get because I love pork belly. The contrast of the melt in your mouth fat with the toothsome lean meat is so good. The popcorn chicken wasn't super crispy but it had a nice seasoning and spice. Came here during a work lunch break with my husband and we shared two entrees. It's a food truck so not really a lot of seating nearby unless you're eating it at work or at home which is fine for us. Their plates come with a generous heaping of rice, a marinated tea egg, and pickled veggies. + Lionhead meatball - soft and fluffy in texture and nice and saucy. The flavor wasn't completely to our liking, but it was still good/ + fried chicken - we enjoyed this dish a lot, Very crispy and nicely flavored. The food quality must have gone downhill the past couple of years since I've gone... I used to love this place! My partner ordered pickup from here today and when he came back, he realized the bag was missing a whole entree. Make sure to check your order! We only ordered two dongpo entrees and a popcorn chicken side. I just had the dongpo entree and I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty bad. The pork belly was so tough to chew which was a huge letdown because I was really looking forward to something warm, soft and flavorful. This truck is always parked near my office and my coworkers and I wanted to try something new out of our regular rotation so we decided to try it out. Service was very quick and we got our food within minutes of ordering. We all got the minced pork plate and shared the popcorn chicken. The general consensus was the pork was flavorless and full of fat. Despite pouring sauces all over the pork, it still lacked flavor. The saving grace of the dish was the pickled vegetable side. We enjoyed the popcorn chicken and thought it was crispy and flavorful. I'd go back to order the popcorn chicken meal instead of the minced pork, but overall don't see myself as a regular here. read more

Minced pork and chicken bento is decent too. Their picked veg aren't overpowered and are pleasant. They no longer let you split the protein options. read more

Authentic is accurate. Lots of familiar dishes that bring back great memories. The fried chicken is a popular one, popcorn chicken is always welcome! The popcorn chicken is the same meat, just without the rice if you only care about the meat. Dongpo is also an extremely familiar option if you're looking for a juicy, fatty option. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything and I could rave about all of them, except the regular chicken simply because I haven't tried it and don't expect too much as it's the more plain option. The meatballs seem to sell out first or second, so be aware of that and also take the chance if you haven't tried. Fried chicken is the safest choice IMO, but again you can't go wrong with anything. Go with fried chicken if you're looking for some crunch, dongpo for fatty, and braised beef for more of a "balanced" meal. Only unfortunate part is the hours, but it's perfect for lunch. I wish dinner was an option, but that's alright. Bentos seem small but are rather filling (more so than expected, at least). Though a bento and a side of popcorn chicken is a great combination. A consistent go-to nested in a convenient location for lunch. read more

Yumbit parks at the republican and bore , close to the Cricket, Amelia and Van Vorst buildings. This is the favorite of my lunch good truck places, out of the three similar Chinese bento trucks. It's a very clean box, perfect for a lunch meeting. It's clean looking, no drips of soups, it's health looking with the cold pickled vegetables, small bites of chicken with half egg and rice. It's the right amount of good, for a work environment at the lunch hours. I've come back many times. read more

Very impressed with what this food truck had to offer! Yum Bit was hosted by our apartment complex, and by the time we made it down to order, they were sold out of half of their entrees. But they did a nice job asking how we were and chatting a little about their favorite menu items. We ordered the Lion Head meatball and Taiwanese Chicken & Rice. WOW, both delicious! The meatballs weren't my first pick, but these should not be dismissed. They are nice and moist; the sauce isn't too sweet and the flavors were really good. The chicken was garlicy and moist as well, and came with some sauteed onions that added a nice sweetness. Both came with a bed of rice and refreshing pickled veggies. The only miss for me is the hard boiled shoyu egg that comes with it, as I'm conditioned to like a nice soft boiled shoyu egg. But I recognize hard boiling eggs is probably an easier option to serve from the truck. Will certainly be on the lookout for Yum Bit again. Delicious. read more

Located in the heart of Amazon buildings, this is one of several food trucks in the SLU area, but this place stood out because it serves Taiwanese food, and there are actually not that many of such places elsewhere in Seattle (besides 19 Gold, Facing East, etc). This place only opens weekday lunch, and it is hard for me to go because I usually have lunch in the office, but today I have the day off so it was a rare opportunity, carpe diem. I got the fried chicken bento box which is popcorn chicken with rice and some pickled vegetables, broccoli, and soy sauce egg. The egg is hard boiled. At the food truck, there are also self-serve sauces such as the sweet chili sauce and the spicy mayo sauce, which is good as a dip for the chicken but I rarely used it because the chicken is very well-seasoned. The chicken is also very tender with a nice crunch outside, so I really enjoyed the meal. Price wasn't too bad for where it's located and given it's a food truck, $12.99+tax is decent for a filling, delicious, and quick lunch. read more

Good portions for the price. Food quality was pretty good as well. I had the minced pork and honestly, it was too rich. I can only eat so much pork belly/fat. Unfortunately popcorn chicken was not available today hence the abundance of fat. I much would have preferred getting the half/half. If they came by my office again, I'd likely stop by. After well over 40 check ins, I figured it was time to write an update. For starters, I clearly still love Yumbit, and the cravings have yet to stop. Yumbit is the model of consistency, as it is always delicious each time I have it. And since I always order the same thing (chicken with extra meat that is pork belly plus an egg), I can certainly attest to the consistency. Rob (guy who takes orders) knows my order and has it pretty much ready for me before I pay. Everyone in the truck knows me for that matter! In fact, Rob has even added a custom button, "The Dave", to ring me up. I encourage anyone with an appetite to order "The Dave". This will let them know you read the review and give me extra smiles. The braised beef bento here is really good. I liked how the stew was seasoned and how well it went with the rice. For those that like more rice than stew you can get more rice for a little bit extra. I also liked how the rice was made, it was a little bit on the drier side but it matched well with the stew. The vegetables were pretty good and I liked the pickled radish. I chanced upon this food truck on Monday lunch at the intersection of Virginia and 9th. The yelp reviews were good so thought of giving this truck a shot. I asked for recommendations from the guy at the truck and was recommended the chicken. He also recommended to take the egg (1$ extra) and I went with his advice. I got a rather large container with rice overlayed with fried chicken and a 2 veggie sides (pickled cucumber and cabbage). I loved the food and would definitely try other things at this truck in the coming weeks! I paid 11$ in total for the chicken and extra egg.
