The hot dogs are obviously delicious but I didn't particularly love this specific location because it seemed like the gamsung was much smaller than it usually is.

I have been noticing these Asian corn dogs everywhere lately, so took the opportunity to try one as a late night snack. The menu can be confusing at fist, but the basic idea is to choose the inside of your corndog (chicken, beef , cheese or combination of the three). Then choose the outside coverage (potato, flakes, ramen or sweet potato). And when it is ready, choose your sauce and seasonings. We got the original Chungchun beef hotdog with potato coverings, topped with honey mustard, ketchup and cheese powder. This is one of those snacks that need to be eaten piping hot for the best experience. The crunch of the outer potato pieces pairs well with the soft hotdog in the middle. Also, it is quite large, so I shared mine with my partner for a snack or it could have been a full meal for me.

I would say this place is alright, small cozy place. The hotdogs are innovative but I honestly find it a little expensive. Taste-wise, it's nothing special, just that it's some new food to try. 3 stars is all I will give.

This location Chungchun Rice Hotdog opened up along Wilson Avenue, west of Bathurst about two months ago. It is located beside The Fifth Taste sushi restaurant. There is some limited parking in front of the restaurant. This location has the same selection of beef and beef/chicken hotdogs that other franchise locations have. They also have hotdogs containing cheese, such as double cheese, mozzarella, whole mozzarella, and cheddar. Having tried the potato and original hot dog options at other Chungchun locations, I was open to trying something new. At the time I arrived I really was just looking for a snack but craving cheese so I asked which would be the least salty option of the cheese hotdogs. The staff serving me was helpful. I asked for the least sodium-laden product and was told that the Cheddar hot dog variety would be the least salty. It took about 10 minutes for them to make my hotdog fresh from time of order. I asked for a light drizzle of ketchup, spicy mayo, and a sprinkle of honey butter powder. It was hot and crispy upon first bite. The cheddar cheese (like cheese spread; think Cheese Whiz) indeed was not salty but the hot dog was. At least as a combination they balanced each other out. Despite the heaviness from the cheese, the overall product didn't taste greasy. Will definitely be back to try other varieties of hotdog, including the tteok (rice cake) option.

These are so good but so bad for you. The cheese dogs are fried to perfection and actually don't taste very greasy. You just feel how heavy they are after you eat it. I liked the squid ink cheese and the half mozzarella one the best but all of them are pretty good! Most people seem to go for the potato or ramen ones, and there's even a sweet chocolate one. You can choose from a variety of sauces and seasonings and they recommend which ones are good and popular for the rice dog you choose. Always a good snack (or a meal if you have a few)!

These rice dogs are the perfect snack, dessert AND meal! They have a large variety of flavours, toppings and sauce. I normally get the original because I'm basic...but I would highly recommend the chocolate one...I was pretty hesitant at first but it was honesty the best dessert! Definitely going again if I pass by

You walk up a goldcolored hallway and 2 flights of stairs before reaching the restaurant. The host stand is farther inside.....which will make sense once you are physically in the space. The workers were very friendly and funny. I had a great time bantering with them. My friend from 8th grade and I reunited for the first time in 21 years over dinner. This was one of her picks, and I am deeply grateful she chose it. Appetizers: Rock Shrimp, Fatty Tuna Nigiri, Crispy Rice Tuna Entrée: Jidori Chicken Drinks: Sangria, Champagne Dessert: Yuzu Citrus The rock shrimp was delicious. We loved the sauce it was tossed in. My friend is not usually a shrimp fan but she polished it off for me. The fatty tuna nigiri was great, as expected, and the crispy rice tuna was phenomenal. The Jidori chicken was delightful. We loved the sauce, and the mashed potatoes were pillowy. I did not have the sangria but my friend said it was the best she had ever had. The yuzu citrus dessert came with strawberry gelato and cookie crumbs. The gelato was not overly sweet and the yuzu was perfectly tart. They also put a little "Reunited" note on the dessert plate, which we both thought was such a sweet touch. Definitely pricey, but definitely worth it. Recommended it to my Toronto friends, I really want to go back and get that king crab rice.

The staff helped us through the menu and gave us recommendations, and was so kind and fun to chat with! I had gotten the chicken katsu and my friend the beef tartar bibimbap. Both came with amazing portions and we had food to spare. The katsu was perfectly crispy, and the house made sauce was perfectly seasoned and amazing! It also came with apples and salad on the side which was a perfect pallet cleanser. The bibimbap had a great variety of toppings and everything was seasoned well. When thoroughly mixed, everything bite had a bit of everything and it was delicious. On top of the food u get when you order, the meal also comes with 6 different sides. There was 3 different kimchi, braised potatoes and 2 others that I'm not sure what they are, but they were delicious. My favourite was the potatoes and kimchi! Overall this is an amazing place to bring those close to you for delicious korean food!

Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
