Chuy's is a popular restaurant at The Summit. I'm either not a fan of Tex-Mex or not a fan of Chuy's. Hear me out, it's not bad, it's just not great. I will say that if you are looking for more of a relaxed vibe to meet a friend, this would be a great location. There's a great patio that overlooks 280. Drinks are alway decent. If I'm ever here, it's because I was invited and did not choose to come. So, overall, great ambiance and food is a little bland. Give it a try if it's more your style!

We returned to Chuy's last night and had another great experience. Our server, Chris was excellent, attentive, and followed up to check on us at the appropriate pace. We enjoyed the chips, smoky chipotle salsa, and queso. The queso is really delicious. Margaritas are consistently well balanced and firmly frozen. I had the chili relleno with ranchero sauce. Chili was a hatch chili, which I really liked, even more than a poblano. In my combo was a green chili chicken enchilada which was delicious too. My husband had the chimichanga with steak and queso on top. Rice and beans are flavorful and authentic Tex-mex. The view makes this a wonderful location for a relaxing dinner. We passed through Birmingham last week and ate at Chuy's. That night would have been rated a 4 star, but mostly because we didn't enjoy what we ordered as much as last night. Chuy's is a dependable consistent choice for a flavorful meal.

We came here during lunch hours on a Thursday and there wasn't a wait . The hostesses were nice. Lexi J our server did fantastic! She had several tables but managed to not miss a beat!! She even recommended the custom enchilada dish I had and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious!!. I loved the spicy green boom boom sauce. I could have cleared my plate but I purposely saved some for dinner. Others in my party had chuychanga , shrimp tacos and panchos. Everyone appeared to have enjoyed their meals. Most importantly my niece and nephew enjoyed their bday lunch! I feel like I come to Chuys once every 4 years but after this recent experience, I likely will be back sooner!

I want to Chuy's on a Friday afternoon and there was basically no wait. We ended up getting a table at the bar area. I started out with the new drink that was a margarita mixed with sangria. It was very delicious I got the chicken quesadilla and my friend got the steak fajitas. We started off with queso dip. They have a Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm happy hour Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

Great food first time ever tried the place. We sat outside and view was awesome. Service was great and food was very good.

Hostess can't manage the wait list. Quoted an hour to an hour and half, 2 hours later they cant say when our table will be ready. They have no ability to plan seating correctly to be able to pull tables together. I understand having several parties on one night but you need to be able to give more realistic timeframes. If they had said 2-3 hours we could have gone to another place or gone down the road to get something for the 1 kid in our party to eat so that he isn't neat tears waiting on food. Managers are absolutely no help either.

This was my first time visiting with my boyfriend. It was a Saturday. We got outdoor seating and our server greeted us in good timing. The chips and pico were spicy but I liked the different kick it gave. I got a frozen margarita and Baja shrimp tacos. The frozen margarita was delicious but my Baja shrimp were okay. They came out slight cold but that could have been because of the coleslaw inside. I would visit this place again. The parking on the weekend can be a challenge since it's in the summit but once seated, it's a nice vibe.

We eat at Chuy's pretty frequently. We have seven kiddos and Mexican restaurants in general just tend to work well for us. Today, I only had two out of the seven with me, so I thought it would be a somewhat relaxing lunch. I even told the hostess that we should be a fairly easy table today. Bahahahahaha. Oh why do I insist on tempting fate? To make the rest of the story easier to understand, I will refer to my four-year-old as child 1 and my two-year-old as child 2. Whereas child two could pretty much eat straight jalapeños, child one has a zero-spicy-food policy, so after they bring our salsa and jalapeño dip, I get a little bowl of ranchero sauce for her. Everything is going pretty well, child one is actually sitting in a booster seat for once, and everyone is coloring. All of a sudden, the waiter walking by gets a funny look on his face and I noticed that child one also has a funny look on her face. She has somehow knocked the ranchero bowl off the table, down the side of her shirt, down her pants, and all over her shoes. Also all over the floor. It was like the never-ending bowl ranchero sauce. The door to ranchero Narnia, if you will. I jump up, run around the table, and start cleaning up the floor because I don't realize the extent of ranchero clothing dye that we are currently working with. The manager walks over and tells me not to worry about it, but I am mortified because it has literally splashed under the floor from one end of the table to the other. He asks me what size shirt child one wears and that's when I realize the extent of the ranchero shower she has just taken. As all this is happening, child two, who is in a booster seat, leans over to see the carnage, loses his balance and takes a nosedive right into the floor. Immediately another server and a hostess come over and try to help. As child two is a "big boy" and never wants any assistance , he attempts to get back in his seat, flipping the booster seat off the other side, all while letting everyone in the restaurant know, "I DO IT MYSELF!". I'm not even looking around the room at this point because I'm very aware that most other conversation has stopped and the other patrons are either annoyed or just enjoying this circus. As child two is almost back in his chair/booster seat, he kicks his water cup off the table which pops open on the floor and basically creates a water/ice/ranchero sauce extravaganza under the table. To her credit, child one has not moved during all of this. I don't know if she was just shocked at everything that was happening or if it was just the Ranchero sauce soaking into her socks, but she was actually being fairly still. That pretty much is where the theatrics ended... I got everything 75% of the way cleaned up, sat back down, and tried to finish the meal while not looking completely incompetent. The manager showed back up with two shirts so that child one could take her pick. Our regular server brought her another bowl of rancheros sauce. One of the servers high-fived child one and told her that at least she got a free shirt out of it. So there you go. Food was great, service was great, your whole table could basically implode and they wouldn't even bat an eye. I will definitely be back and if you have kids, I suggest you take them there as well.

Chuy's never disappoints! We tried the appetizer platter, and it was huge and super filling--perfect for sharing (or not!). The steak and chicken fajitas were flavorful and cooked just right, and I absolutely loved the jalapeño dip--creamy with just the right kick. The vibe at Chuy's is fun, upbeat, and colorful, with a quirky, laid-back atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Great spot for casual dining with friends or family! Service was also spot on!

I ordered the Steak Fajita Burrito, which included a special gravy and cheese on top of an excellent fajita paired with tasty rice and refried beans. Words are not sufficient enough to describe how my tastebuds were taken on a rollercoaster ride of flavor. My peer ordered the Hawaiian Fajita which was cooked and served and a real pine apple. I was told that the flavor over delivered. I could not recommend this enough.

There's a full bar here and plenty of options. Over the course of the afternoon I tried the Frida's Rita and the wonderful rabbit. Both drinks weren't in your face with the tequila mezcal, they were mixed nicely and had a well rounded flavor. I much preferred the Woderful rabbit though as it tasted less watered down and the ginger beer paired with the mezcal was almost quenching. Overall if you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy Mexican cocktails this is a good spot! We did feel rushed to get out of there, and maybe it was because we weren't ordering food. Overall good experience however.

As someone who loves spicy foods, I can appreciate how QDOBA has option to add spicy queso, a chile crema sauce, and pickled jalapeños. In my opinion, these additional options enhanced the flavors and appearance of my bowl. Upon entering the establishment, we were immediately greeted and able to begin our orders. It's time consuming but nothing can be done in today's society when computers are down. I took a seat and pulled out the novel that has been riding in my car for years. They thought they could ring up the last before me. Nope, another 20 mins wait. One young lady had ordered 2 tacos but had to run back to work since her lunchtime was up. They should have comp'd her for wasting her lunch hour . They were going to throw it away anyway since it got cold waiting on the computer. I went out my way to find this place because my FB post said an order of guacamole and cheese dip is included in every order. The steam table had pans of dried up looking ingredients like most other type of establishments like this. I had preordered 3 items to take to love ones nearby. After seeing those dried up pans I refused to complicate their lives with food that looks like it will create diarrhea or heartburn. I got a small order of nachos with meat in the side. Got my dog the pork since I never come home with her a food reward the few times she can't go with me. I found their process of putting cheese a bowl and the other topping one want, then the chips in a bag different. I flipped the bowl over to spread onto my chips with a fork. It was disappointing because the chips are fried in batches hours ago. They are thicker than I prefer and lack flavor. Now here's what really gripped me. One staff member kept asking the hardworking co-worker for help in using the register. She handed my order to me all stacked up together. Where I had to push everything in my breast to prevent anything from falling. Are bags being deducted from her pay. Computer are down again. I sit again to wait. Not long this time. I've sat there 45 minutes or more and she tried to charge me for a small guac and other miscellaneous fees. The hardworking stepped in and rung me up that prevented me from telling them to keep that crao. It wasn't be the discount group members get on their first visit, maybe $2. As long as I had waited I deserved it and more. Anyway. I ate what I could, dumped the rest and brought the pork home. I spent $11 instead of 5 times more than I planned on spending. The facility is new so everything is extremely clean and organized. There wasn't sliced limes nor lemons for the sweet tea. The tea was good nonetheless. I doubt if I back or order from the business next door. I would hire the hardworking staffer however.

OK, we're big-time Tex-Mex food fans, but we find it quite difficult to find high-quality Tex-Mex or even Mexican restaurants in the US south outside of Texas. This place is a game changer. When we stopped here, we were prepared to be disappointed in issuing two or three star rating at the most. Every single item we ordered was tasty and delectable. Our entrées were Carne Asada; and, Shrimp of the Devil (Camerones el Diablo). Both were fresh, tasty, and delicious. The shrimp were prepared in a special hot sauce, which was in an of itself, delectable (but only if you have a big glass of water to drink). My wife liked it so much she just wanted to taste the sauce! We weren't going to have dessert, but after watching several dessert pass by via the waitress to other tables, we decided order Flan and a mixture of a sopsvilla with fried ice cream. Ugh!
