Bug in food Went to Chuy's for lunch today and found a larvae in the lettuce. I have truly never experienced this before. I have seen posts about these things but I was in so much shock when it happened to me. So we got Sat and didn't get service for ten minutes. The waiter came maybe two times and when the food came out I had two bites and thought "oh lettuce would be nice ontop" WRONG! I found the larva when I moved the lettuce and tried to convince myself it was just brown rice but it was a mushy and had little legs. I told the waiter and did not want anything else so they comped my entree. Now I wouldn't be writing this if the ending wasn't how it was. The manager came over and said "idk what that is but it shouldn't be there" asked if I wanted something else and I said no. I waitressed all through high-school and college so I have comped quite a bit of wrong orders in my time. Instead they still charged me for a Diet Coke and my queso dip... maybe you don't think it's wrong but all managers I worked with in restaurants would have never let a customer who just found larvae in their food to pay anything. Anyways!! It freaked me out especially since the Taylor Farms fiasco with lettuce, so just be cautious, they seem to have a VERY relaxed kitchen.

This was our first time going to a Chuy's, as we hadn't heard of this franchise before until moving to the Midwest. Service was unfortunately very poor. I think we were forgotten about several times, including an entree we had ordered to go and had to ask the hostess to find for us as our server never returned with it. Overall food was bland and mainly tasted of salt. The decor was very cute, I liked seeing all the pictures of dogs!

Tonight we meet friends at Chuys for dinner. It was a fun time with ice cold beers, Paloma's cocktails and their new, large Mexican Martini. I highly recommend both of the cocktails. The hot queso arrived quickly to our table. It was colorful and festive with small mounds of meat, salsa and green chilies peaking out of the golden, creamy queso dip. The dip was so fresh and flavorful as we devoured the queso with the phenomenal, crispy and light chips that were sturdy enough to dip. Not only did we snack on the queso but we topped off our entrees too. The creamy jalapenos sauce, fresh salsa and awesome hatch green chili sauce was devoured by the four of us. There are a wide selection of sauces to select from. Check out Happy Hour on week days, 3-6 p.m. for $5 Chips and Dips with several drink specials. I ordered my favorite entree, Chika-Chika Boom-Boom Enchiladas, with full-flavored roasted chicken and cheese topped with the boob-boom sauce. It was spicy and delicious. My husband ordered the spectacular Fajita Beef "Big As Yo' Face" Burrito. Most people could easily share this generously filled, savory burrito but in time my husband demolished it. Our friends ordered the large, fresh taco salad and she had the chicken burrito with hatch chili pepper sauce. They both loved their meals. All of us enjoyed the food, cocktails, atmosphere, colorful decor and the very comfortable covered patio. The highlight of the night was our server. The service was exceptional and he didn't miss a beat. From his outgoing personality, totally knowledgeable, warm welcome, drinks and re-fills arrived quickly with entrees following. I loved he removed used dishes quickly and never rushed us. Most of the entire menu can be picked up, including alcohol, with curbside pickup and delivery. I'm very interested in taking advantage of the Curbside Delivery and Pickup. They offer Family Meal Kits with Fajitas, Taco, and Enchiladas plus Nacho Kits. Alcohol can also be picked up. Pick up your favorite meal(s) or kits for dinner after work, or for the bookclub, girls night, card club, or a picnic in the park. Pop in!

First timers here. Dining room very spacious and clean; the parking lot was big. Felt the food was quite Americanized and a little bland to what I've had before but maybe that's good for those watching salt intake. Service was friendly. However, my husband was served the wrong entrée and the server later came back with the correct one. I believe my burrito bowl was missing the salsa (so ended up using the rest of the complementary salsa). There was nothing extra ordinary but also nothing terrible.

Such a fun and eclectically decorated spot! Came here after craving Mexican and so happy I did! The minute we walked in we were greeted and quickly seated. As I looked over the menu, our waitress quickly came with a bowl of hot chips and salsa. Yum! I decided on the veggie enchiladas with the boom-boom sauce and it was delicious. Spicy with just the right amount of heat! Overall fun experience and I will be back to try a drink as well next time!

We stopped in for lunch, our server Darcy, was kind and busy! The food was pretty good, I love the decorations inside - it gives a very bright and welcoming feel to the restaurant!

Tiffany our server was awesome! She brought me out a taste of there Tex-Mex Sauce which I'd have to be in the mood for plus add a lot of hot sauce. To me, it'd be when I'm in the mood for chili so I decided against the popular Tex-Mez cheese Enchiladas that my gf swears by & against Elvis entree that seems like a delish sampler. Live the salsa, lite chips & jalapeño ranch on my Taco Salad I ordered. The cilantro vinaigrette reminded me of a strange Thousand Island, not close to a vinaigrette which I ordered on the side. Instead, I went w/ Tiffany's suggestion of the jalapeño Ranch. I am not a good judge of spice cuz I live for spice so I'd say it is not hot, but you may think it is. None of what I ordered was hot even w/ hot sauce. Next time I will a sauce from the hot side to try. Ordered the chicken fajitas which came w/ all the fixens & was tasty. The Chicken Car Bon was not good at all. I'd never get it again or recommend it. I only gave four stars because I found a hard piece of bone or something in my ground beef Taco Salad. The beef was seasoned superbly, fresh lettuce & crispy lite tortilla strips all combined perfectly. Omit the tomato & guac. Excellent service & 5 star Texas Tini with stuffed jalapeño olives. Very nice area & easy to find.

It was supposed to be warm that day, but it was nice sitting in the shade with a little air movement not far from the street. Service seemed a tad sluggish at the start, but in their defense it also appeared there were only 2 of them at that time. The did promptly bring chips and salsa to the table. They did a decent job of refilling our waters as well as our chips and salsa without our needing to ask. We also were grateful that they were open as we noticed multiple folks attempting to enter the dining options across the street that were apparently closed for the day. The waitress asked to take our order after a bit, but we still hadn't received menus yet. Turns out that they have QR codes at tables to access their menu, but our table along with our neighboring ones seemed to no longer have the codes adhered. She then brought out a paper menu to use, which listed their lunch and dinner menus, although the lunch menu was only available for weekdays. They also have a brunch menu apparently, but that was not listed on the paper menu, so a tad annoying. Wife ordered the Huevos Rancheros ($12) and was very pleased as they prepared it per her request (eggs over hard and with green sauce). Daughter chose Arroz con Pollo ($15) and was also pleased with the quantity of cheese provided. Son selected the Chicken and Waffles ($13) with spicy syrup, which he thought were good but that he should have asked for additional syrup as the container wasn't sufficient for the quantity of waffle that he had. I went with the Chili Relleno ($15), which was also very cheesy and tasty. The rice and beans that came with it were just OK, a tad dry and lacking a bit of seasoning. Overall, not a bad meal. Prices seemed a tad high for what we got, but that is the case everywhere with inflation these days. Service was fine in spite of most likely being undermanned, but again just grateful for those who did choose to come in and work on a Father's Day Sunday.

They gave me a generous portion, the protein amount made it well worth the $12.
