Got the Kings Memorial Combo and it was really good. The enchiladas had great sauce but honestly the beans and rice were my favorite part. The creamy jalapeno ranch with the chips was the star of the show and something we do not have in California. The queso was also solid and worked perfectly with the dips. Chips were a little on the chewy side but the dips made up for it. Sweet tea was fresh and spot on. Service is always quick and the staff is super sweet every time. The place has a fun vibe with quirky and colorful decor that makes it feel lively and welcoming. Portions are generous and the plates come out looking just as good as they taste. I can see why this is a Texas favorite. Overall, not a bad experience or vibe to the restaurant and definitely more of a chain and fast food sit down restaurant! Some good food overall!

I'm increasing my review to 5 stars due to the service in the bar area. My last few visits I've eaten in there and the service has been really good. I've dined at both busy and slow times, lunch and dinner. My servers have been on top of things, even when they have been overwhelmed. Each server stayed on top on of my drinks--a margarita never went totally dry before another one was offered! The grilled chicken in my tacos and quesadillas is still solid and tasty; the jalapeno ranch is top notch. And you can't beat Tito's Lemonade!

You can join the waitlist in advance of arrival so you don't have to wait as long - which is a nifty feature if you know about it in advance. They have fun frozen drinks and the standard variety of Tex Mex offerings. Prices seem a little steep for a chain restaurant but the food is decent.

Kids mini tacos and rice. There should be 3 but one was already eaten!

Now I remember why I stopped supporting this place prior to Covid. Terrible bartender Bri, just awful. I've worked in this business a long enough time to know you don't go complain about a customer in front of them to the other bartender because YOU GOT MY ORDER WRONG. Corn tortillas in every restaurant I've ever been to means hard shell, not soft corn, which in reality was a flour tortilla I was given. If you needed to know what kind of corn tortillas I wanted because there was a choice she should have asked. Not only that, she didn't give me napkins or silverware with my appetizer. The queso here I'm not a fan of but her smug attitude like she's somebody" is hilarious.

I love Chuy's! Have for a long time but COVID killed my favorite entree. Elvis fried chicken. I was over the moon to see that this glorious item is back!!! Amy was an amazing waitress and the food came out fast. This place might be a franchise but it is still an amazing place for Tex Mex. Atmosphere is fun and the energy adds something hard to explain but I definitely needed it and I'm glad I went!

We've been coming to Chuy's for years, and it never stops hitting the spot! That being said, I was excited to see a new menu item that was a true winner. We ordered the Tex-Mex Burrito bowl. The bowl was MASSIVE! It comes with a lifetime supply of rice and other toppings including chopped up fajita beef. If you end up ordering this for yourself, my hint would be to split the bowl in two, but eat all the meet in the first sitting. Bring home the rest and just add meat to make a perfect second dish. The rest of the meal was as typical Chuy's as you can get. Chips with the jalepaneo ranch, two margaritas, and some ground beef tacos which were all perfect. We left quite satisfied. When you come to Chuy's, you know what to expect. Quality Tex Mex that is consistent and affordable.

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. I have consumed the good, the bad, and the distinctly "tastes like floor cleaner and bad decisions." So when I say a well margarita blew me away, please understand the weight of that statement. Usually, a well marg is something you order when you've decided quality is optional and saving five bucks is mandatory. Not here. Enter Manny. Manny isn't just bartending; he's running a high-level liquid chemistry lab behind that bar. This house recipe of his defies every known law of budget tequila. Whatever magic ratio he's using, it completely skips the usual sour-mix heartburn and goes straight to refreshing, perfectly balanced perfection. Smooth, freshly squeezed taste, and just enough kick to make you realize you're definitely calling an Uber. If you come here, sit at the bar and ask for Manny's house margarita. Hands down the best well drink in the city. Just leave a solid tip, because the man is out here doing public service work.

It's definitely a neighborhood bar, but with a slightly elevated vibe that makes you feel like you stumbled into the nice version of a local hangout, not the sticky‑floor kind. I ordered three rounds of Hendrick's and tonic, and my partner went with four rounds of Tito's and Sprite. When the bill came out to $140, I had to take a quiet moment with myself. Yes, Hendrick's is top shelf, but even with that in mind... whew. That total felt a little ambitious for a neighborhood bar in Cedar Park. I'm all for a good cocktail, but I also know what these pours cost elsewhere, and this pricing didn't quite match the setting. That said, the service was excellent. Our bartender was attentive, quick, and had that perfect balance of friendly without being overly chatty. She kept an eye on the bar, and we never had to wait long for a refill -- which I appreciated, especially since the place wasn't packed. Honestly, the smooth service was the highlight of the night. The vibe itself is cool -- a little eclectic, a little upscale, and clearly a favorite for the local crowd. It's the kind of place you go when you want to unwind without dealing with the Domain crowd or the chaos of downtown Austin. I can absolutely see why people love it. But between the drink prices and the overall experience, this is one of those spots I'd visit occasionally, not regularly. A cute neighborhood bar? Yes. A $140‑for‑seven‑drinks bar? Not for me.

I had the opportunity to hit Rocking J Piano Bar and what a night it was! Rocking J is easy to find off the 183 and parking is plentiful, unlike the horrendous parking adventure downtown. The joint is located in a corner unit off Whitestone Blvd and extremely inviting. Music starts a little later at night and if you want a table you need to reserve one. I arrived at 7pm for the 8pm show and there were a few patrons upon arrival. The joint is clean without that beer-stained floor smell and the bartenders are cool and fast slinging suds. Prices aren't bad and all the people that I met were extremely cool, many different ethnicities were hanging out, while the age group was 30+ so it's not the college crowd. The attire ranged from men in tshirts, flip flops, I saw some "typical cowboy hats" and women in shorts and dresses, up to business casual. It's basically a "come as you are" mentality in a very relaxed atmosphere. Please note while they don't serve food, they do allow outside grub, just bring some for everyone, Also the bathrooms are decent not spectacular however you won't need to run down the street. The non-reserved tables are limited and as the show time creeps closer, they start to fill up but there was standing room. The crowd that was there was a pretty lively crew and seemed like pretty decent people. In the corner is a piano and on my night a drum kit. I can't remember the pianist / singer's name but he was really good while the drummer acted as backup, basically enhancing the songs with a steady beat. The guy could flat out sing and I swear I couldn't stump him with my diverse requests. Among the songs were The Cure - Love Song, Alice in Chains - The Rooster, Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville, Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. Perhaps the jingle from Sesame Street would have stumped him, but I didn't consider it at the time. Overall, the place feels safe with "good folk" who all just want to have a good time.
