I normally wouldn't visit a restaurant with a 3 star Yelp review average. I the case of Chuys Frisco,I'm making an exception. It payed off handsomely for me and Chuys Frisco resulting in a 5 Star Review! After discovering the original Chuys location in Austin 30 + years ago,I became a devoted fan. Every trip to Austin was augmented with a Chuys visit. Along about 1990ish they started expanding and a location near downtown Dallas was a highly anticipated opening. Almost as good as the original. They maintained authenticity for many years expanding even into other states. Then,as often happens, the nose dive began. As a result I quit eating at Chuy's,even when visiting Austin. Not the same. Then,a few months ago enter Darden Restaurant Group. They bought Chuy's lock stock and barrel folding it into their operations which includes one of my faves, Longhorn Steakhouse. I was anxious to try Chuy's again and see if the Upward recovery had begun. I overlooked the Plano location having never liked it that much in favor of the newer Frisco location. Due to my 18/6 eating schedule we went for a early dinner. Bottom line is,Yes! Atmosphere, food, service, prices combine to provide a great Tex-Mex experience. I highly recommend you.... Go! Thanks for the great service Brandon A special shout out to the General Manager doing a world class job Andrew Wilkinson.

Be sure to join the list online before arrival! This was our first time to this location and it was a 20-30 minute wait for a party of 2 and the bar seating was full. Not unexpected for a Friday night. The hostess was a bit hard to understand but was pleasant. Our server was attentive although she did refill one of the drinks with the wrong beverage. The ranch and burrito bow is what I was wanting and they did t disappoint. The chicken flautas were ok. I would go back when I am wanting that salad and jalapeño ranch!

I forgot about this place from six years ago. Way overdue for great meal. And joined lots of other friends and families for weekend lunch. We got plenty for leftovers so it was all very worthwhile. Our meals had plenty of chicken in them. Takeout boxes were just right to just pop into frig. See photos of interior just posted.

Still wondering why there are no good taco Tuesday deals around here. Chuys included. But we came anyway. If you're into martinis , the New Mexico Martini is so good! It's worth coming back just for that. The Paloma was just meh. Chips were solid, the salsa not so much. Ask for jalapeño ranch dressing and mix that with the salsa and it's better. I had the taco salad with fajita meat, huge portion and I could only finish half of it. The place feels like it used to be something special but now it's looks a little worn out. Our server was awesome and attentive. Still searching for a solid taco Tuesday spot. If all else fails, I'll be back for that New Mexico martini.

We were here during Christmas week. Walked in and they had a 15 min wait. We stayed in the waiting area, which had a good decor. Once we got seated, we got the chips and salsa. jalapeno cream was amazing. Ordered Chicken Enchiladas with Boom Boom Sauce, Chuychanga with Boom Boom and no meat. Kids ordered Cheese quesadilla and enchilda. Chicken enchilda was amazing with Boom boom sauce, chuychanga was ok, wife said she wouldn't order again. Kids enchilada was dry, although fries were good. Kids loved the pop up as as dessert Service and food were great, will make a reservation before coming by next time

Pancho's. Beans look like they're 7 years old and hardly any cheese. Gross.

Waited 45 mins for a to-go order that is poor quality and disgusting. Do better Chuy's.

Great food great service Chuy's offers a wide variety of delicious Tex-Mex food. Their menu includes classic dishes such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas, as well as unique creations like the Big As Yo Face Burrito, the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, and the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchilada. Other options include quesadillas, nachos, salads, soups, and desserts. Chuy's also offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. With a variety of flavors and options, Chuy's is sure to have something for everyone. Chuy's margaritas are some of the best around. Made with fresh lime juice, triple sec, and tequila, these margaritas are sure to be a hit at any gathering. The perfect balance of sweet and tart makes them incredibly refreshing and enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a classic margarita or something a bit more unique, Chuy's has a variety of margaritas to choose from. From their signature Chuychanga Margarita to the Top Shelf Margarita, there is something for everyone. Chuy's beautiful staff is a great example of the restaurant's commitment to providing an enjoyable experience for all of its customers. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone has a great time. They are knowledgeable about the menu and always happy to answer questions or make suggestions. The staff is also incredibly attentive and will always make sure that everyone's needs are taken care of. Every visit to Chuy's is sure to be a pleasant one, thanks to the wonderful staff that make it all possible. Chuy's music is a unique blend of Latin, rock, and pop music. It is a style of music that is both upbeat and energizing. The lyrics often have a positive message, and the melodies are catchy and memorable. The rhythms are often complex and syncopated, creating an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. The instruments used are often traditional Latin instruments such as guitars, bongos, and maracas, as well as modern instruments such as keyboards and synthesizers. Chuy's music is a great way to get people up and dancing, and it is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Chuy's salsa dancing is a sight to behold. His moves are fluid and graceful, and he moves across the dance floor with ease. His feet move in perfect synchronization with the music, and his arms move with a graceful, yet powerful, intensity. He is able to lead his partner with confidence and skill, and his enthusiasm for the dance is contagious. He is a master of the salsa, and watching him dance is a truly mesmerizing experience.

I had their jalapeño cream sauce at an event before and I really wanted to have it again. So I ordered it and yes, tasted just as good as I remembered. However, I decided to order a quesadilla ($12 for just cheese) and I was highly disappointed. There was hardly any cheese. I mean it looked like they took a piece of sliced cheese from the grocery store for each one and called it good. I couldn't even taste any cheese. I could mainly just taste the tortilla. And there wasn't much flavor. I'm sad they couldn't get something so simple right. I will give them another chance some day. But I won't be in a hurry to do so.

Came here with a friend for lunch and upon arrival there was a 45 min wait but we were seated within 30 mins. The customer service was very good here; no complaints on that. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and guacamole + chips along with a frozen strawberry margarita. Overall, the food was ok but I would definitely try something different if I were to come back. As always, the salsa and ranch salsa was good.

    Amazing food!

The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

There were so many people waiting outside. It was so nice to be able to be seated quickly, especially with kids in tow. Be courteous if you need to change or cancel your reservations. We were seated in one of the smaller rooms, which was great! We had good service even though they were extremely busy. We came here for our favorites that we usually order at their other location. The frozen mango margarita is thought of fondly. While it was good, it didn't taste quite as good as I remember it in the past. A very faint mango flavor, it tasted like a plain frozen margarita with orange coloring. It was disappointing since we looked forward to it for so long. The chips are always delicious. We ordered the chicken fajitas for 2 with no onions and they brought us combo chicken & steak fajitas for 2. We just ate it and took home the leftovers. They brought us a container to pack up and processed our tab quickly. Overall, a good visit with a couple of small opportunities for improvement. There are not enough parking spaces in their parking lot! We had to park next door by Academy. We parked far from the store as to not take away parking from Academy shoppers.

This is one of those restaurants that gets both the food and the atmosphere right, which is harder to find than it should be. We went with the Taco Bar Tuesday special, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a build-your-own taco experience. The chicken and beef were well-seasoned, juicy, and generous in portion size, and the fresh tortillas they make for you are a huge standout -- warm, soft, and clearly made with care. Sadly, we forgot to take the remaining chicken, beef, and fresh tortillas with us -- not because the food wasn't great, but because life with two kids under two is pure chaos. Honestly, that one's on us. Beyond the food, the vibe here is a big reason we keep coming back. The restaurant has tons of character, from the massive bar to the spacious patio. The flame lanterns out front are such a cool touch and really set the tone before you even walk in. It feels lively, fun, and welcoming without being overwhelming. Uncle Julio's is one of those places that works whether you're out for a casual night, a family meal, or just want good food in a great setting.
