Pretty good compared to Cracker Barrel, not gonna lie. It gave the the country boy breakfast a good run for its money. I had the chicka chicka boom boom, which is basically an enchilada with a different sauce. It was an interesting dish because the sauce was new to me. It reminded me of spinach artichoke dip but obviously altered. I also had the tortilla soup, which rivals the gravy and biscuits at cracker barrel for sure. In addition to an excellent meal, I received excellent service from the waiter. They've got Cracker Barrel beat there. Had lunch here yesterday and I have to say it was one of the better experiences I've had at a Chuys. The waiter was super nice and never let our glasses get empty. He was great at making sure we were enjoying our meal with annoying us every three seconds. I got the chicken flautas with refried beans. They normally put their smoky red sauce and but the waiter was awesome and let me swap to queso I was super stuff when it was all said and done and super satisfied. I will definitely eat here again when I get back to Louisville. read more

Overview: AMAZING! Great food, great atmosphere, great prices, great staff. This place is POPULAR, so if you dont want to wait, don't come during busy times. We waited about 20 minutes and we called ahead of time. The decorations at this place are super unique. It's like Jimmy Buffet meets 50s drive in, meets, hoarder, meets drug induced fever dream. It's pretty interesting and fun. The chips and salsa is very good. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa is thick with good fresh flavor. The jalapeño ranch dip was just okay because it only tasted like ranch to me. We ordered chicken tortilla soup which was hands down the best chicken tortilla soup I've ever had. Very flavorful with big chunks of chicken, hearty pieces of onion, tomato, avocado, corn, and more. It came with an actual soft tortilla, which confused me because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to tear it up in the soup, dunk it, or scrimp the chunky parts out of the soup and make a taco. Any way you do it, the tortilla was so light and fluffy with excellent flavor. Obviously handmade excellence. Then my beef fajitas came and Oh. My. God. Delicious. The meat was tender, juicy and flavored excellently. It came with those amazing handmade tortillas, and all the fixings. The rice and beans was very fresh and flavorful, the sautéed onions and green peppers were perfectly cooked, and the lettuce, shredded cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gayo were all cool and made for a scrumptious finish to my fajitas. For some reason I had a good memory of Chuy's from a long-time ago, and this memory convinced me to try the food out for my Birthday as I wanted some Margaritas! First off the chips and white sauce are probably the reason for my fond memory, they are literally so good. If I was just going to each chips and drink a sprite, this is the place to go, if you want food or service, loom elsewhere. Our waitress was unfriendly, would leave for like 30 minutes at a time while we were all without drinks. I have eaten at Chuy's a couple times with friends, this was my first time with my child. We came after some jumping around and decided to spilt a burrito, The food was good, quick service and our order came out fast and hot. However, the waiter ignored my child, his water cup was empty, leaving me to pour my water into his cup after waiting awhile and my child was drinking out of my cup since the waiter never filled his up. But he did fill up my cup twice. So the tip was barely there, due to lack of proper service to all guest at the table. Also the second round of chips were just awful, oily, soft not even crunchy. We decided to check this place out because we were waiting to pick something up at the mall and were craving some good food. I ordered the crispy tacos with both ground beef and fajita chicken. The taco shells were a bit wide so they were hard to eat without them falling apart. The beef was okay, but the chicken was fantastic. When I return I will be trying either the chicken fajitas or the soft shell tacos with fajita chicken. The Mexican rice was very flavorful and well cooked. The beans were a bit different from typical refried beans. They were mostly whole and slightly runnier than normal. They were pretty good, especially on the chips. My husband got the boom boom chicken (enchiladas I think) at the recommendation of the waiter. He said it ways good and that he would get it again. Overall the service was pretty good and the food was very good. We will definitely return. Next time I will try to remember to take pictures too. read more

Chuy's is my favorite place to eat but I will not go back on a holiday. I went on Mothers Day and they was very stingy with everything. I even called the manager over to my table and she stated that's all you get. Excuse me I visit this facility twice a month and I know how much food comes on the plate. If I lived closer I would go couple times a week. I guess she assumed it was my first time there. She wasn't the friendliest but I never seen her there bc I usually go around lunch. Which I will keep going at lunch. The quality and service is better. I wish I would have taking a picture of my plate but I didn't. They even skimpy on the tomatoes they put on your plate which I didn't care about but it's the fact. They barely put any peppers or onions on mine or my friends tacos. The peppers and onions that was on the tacos wasn't cooked throughly like usual. She stated it's 2 ounces of steak that comes on the taco well it for sure wasn't 2 ounces on my taco. My friend got the same thing and he had way more steak on his taco but barely had any of the peppers and onions as well. He is quite though and isn't the type that says anything. I even told manager to look at my friends plate but she wasn't trying to really do nothing. She honestly didn't want to bring me extra. Which she did bring a couple of pieces of steak and peppers and onions back but the peppers and onions wasn't cooked throughly. Got a strawberry margarita it taste like a virgin margarita. I love the jalapeño ranch and salsa it was really spicy this time. Which that didn't bother me but I'm assuming they did that so not as many people would eat it since it was a holiday and they was busy. Great little restaurant! We were staying at a hotel up the road, so we got our order to go. There was a cute little outdoor area, a bar and a good sized dining room from my brief look around while waiting for takeout in the bar. Very good food and very sizable portions. This place is a treat! It's a Mexican restaurant with a 60s diner theme and pink walls, and alternative pop music playing. Eclectic in a word. The food was great. Not the most authentic tasting, but certainly pleasing and very tasty. Their salsa with the free chips needs mention. You better like cilantro, it's loaded with so much that it's intoxicating to your taste buds. I absolutely loved it. As for entrees, the Chile Reno is wonderful. The service was the only downside. Mexican is one genre of food that I always seem to be hungry for, especially if its from Chuy's. Everybody else seems to have caught onto the deliciousness, as their is often a wait when I have gone recently. It's not to be dreaded at Chuy's, though, as the make-your-own nacho bar keeps me from getting too cranky as I wait for a table. Not only are there all-you-can-stuff-into-a-red-plastic-basket tortilla chips, you can top them with a variety of salsas, meats, and cheeses. "20 to 30 minute wait" are no longer words that scare me, as long as the hostess at Chuy's is the one who says that. I've always had great service here, and the food tastes fresh and unique. I often try to be virtuous and order a taco salad, which I recommend, but also I recommend following my lead and getting the jalapeno ranch dressing on it. This negates any healthiness you may have just stockpiled with the rabbit food, but it's oh so worth the calorie splurge. I wish I could vouch for desserts, but I'm usually too stuffed from the bottomless chips and the jalapeno ranch dressing to even think about ordering anything. One extra star for great service and you will note I only gave them two stars. Margaritas on the rocks completely watered down. They said they make one big batch in the morning for all day. I think all the Tequila evaporated and the sweet stuff was left out. They have a large assortment of side sauces. Nice place. We were frequent customers of Chuy's in Phoenix but this is a different chain by the same name. Our Chuy's was more of an adult place, this one reminds me more of On The Border. However, the food was much better than OTB and the staff was great. The place was packed but they have bar seating. They don't have anything on tap but they have all the Mexican beers in bottles. I got the fajitas and the wife got the Chimi. I really enjoyed mine, the flour tortillas were thin and light and tasted perfect. Pacifico washed them down perfectly. It was Sunday so we had to share the place with the after church rush but we got our food fast and hot, I was impressed. Hot waitress ratio was about 50%, Hot bartender ratio was 100%. read more

Chuy's doesn't come to my mind first when I'm thinking about Mexican. I wish it would more often! It's a long haul from my house but when I do make the drive it's totally worth it. The staff is always friendly and quick to get you seated during peak times. Once you're seated you get greeted with chips and salsa along with the delicious jalapeño creamy sauce. Now do be scared off the the name. It's not that spicy. I literally will put this sauce on everything. A huge menu selection is sure to find something for everyone taste. They even have or can accommodate people searching for vegan dishes. The food is out to your table in a reasonable time and is always hot and fresh. Not once have I been disappointed by any entree. Plus if there was something bad, just cover it with the jalapeño sauce!lol I'm only kidding, but for real, it's good! The decor looks like something straight out of the 70's. 5/100 - 2018 Yelp Challenge I FRICKIN LOVE THIS PLACE THE GOOD : They have ahhmaaazing jalapeño ranch sauce. I love love love their salsa and how thin their chips are. I usually always get the taco salad. It's one of my faves. I do remember one of the first times I ever went there I got a 'Chuy-Changa'. I don't remember what I liked about it, but I remember being blown away. I just went there a few days ago and I believe our waitress' name was Angela. Not entirely sure though, but she has only been there for about 3 weeks and she was the best. None of our drinks ever got empty.
