I've had this location bookmarked for quite some time. Unfortunately our experience was very poor. Service was extremely slow. Our drink orders were taken by another server approximately 10-15 minutes after seating. Our server, Naidlyn was very impersonable and only spoke to us in passing, every time. The food was just okay. Chuy's happy hour is like none other. FREE nachos. That's the happy hour, nachos being one of my favorite bar foods I am a very happy camper when I make it in time for happy hour here. It's no frills--just simple, chips, beef, and light toppings. With a side of nachos, they offer some great frozen and iced margaritas. I've tried their watermelon marg, frose, lime marg--all delicious. It gets pretty busy in here, but there's also plenty of seating so you shouldn't have to wait too long--especially if you don't mind just sitting in the bar area. Being such close proximity to the mall, this is a great option for delicious food when you get that mid-shopping spree hankering for some grub. We actually decided to stop in for happy hour here before going next door to the movies. This was great because we ended up filling up, and avoiding the $$ expensive movie theater food. This place looked fun, so our whole family of adults decided to go check it out. The salsa was so incredibly hot that only one of us out of 7 could eat it. My lips were in physical pain. I got a mixed drink. It was potent. It was supposed to taste like peach, but it tastes like rubbing alcohol. I was trying to catch a little buzz, but I didn't want to end up with amnesia. The Queso was good, but only 3 out of 7 of us enjoyed our entrees. The chicken flautas were decent. The service was ok, but impersonal. No eye contact, just taking orders and delivering them. The decor was fun and cute, so that was probably the highlight. Menu was also very limited. Not the worst place we have been, but wouldn't go again. read more

Yummy food indeed. This was my first time at Chuy's and it was great to try another Mexican restaurant being that I'm from Orlando, Florida. We went on Taco Tuesday so it was packed. The waiter was very frustrated but still able to get us all our food and take our correct orders. I ordered chicken quesadillas and they were amazing. My friend ordered the burrito and sent it back to the kitchen, she didn't like it. The soup and salad was good as well. The best thing I order was the frose! So good and it didn't have too much alcohol in it. I loved it. Overall, I will be looking for a Chuy's in every city I travel to. read more

This was literally the only 'chain' restaurant I had eaten at in years but I ate at a Chuy's at least once a week, sometimes every day of the week, for well over a decade. FI did that for one simple reason, they made a Chile Relleno superior to everyone since Tia's closed. They they took it off the menu and now they are just an overpriced, craptasic chain place with Karen in charge of the kitchen seasonings and drinks served in tiny glasss. Our server Megan M was phenomenal. We ordered steak fajitas for two and they were ready before I even ate a chip. She was on top of drink refills and asking if we needed anything. So refreshing to have fantastic server and see every booth sat with customers and most of the tables (tables are thinned out however). Have been to Chuy's a couple of time and definitely loved the fact that all the food was freshly made in house. The chips and the tortillas are honestly one of the best that I've tried. We came to this location for lunch and was in a bit of a hurry to continue our day on. We were seated pretty quickly but it took a while before our waitress came to take our order. We were given our chips fairly quickly but it a long time went by before we got our drinks and food. The portions were massive and my boyfriend and I could barely finish off one entree because we snacked on the chips too much. We ordered one of the combination platters to try out a wide variety of their menu. The food tasted pretty delicious and we were super full at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is a bit chaotic though - I saw many servers forgetting items and running around frantically. It also took us almost 2 hours to order and eat. If you are on a light schedule then give Chuy's a try but if you are in a rush you probably want to try somewhere else. read more

I almost popped a tear of joy when we drove by this mall and I saw that a Chuy's location had been opened since we were in town last. I LOVE Chuy's. LOVE love. After living in Austin Texas for a few years, it is one of the few things that I truly miss about living in the Lone Star State. Because I don't get to visit very often, I always get the exact same thing; A swirl margarita (a swirl of lime and strawberry frozen margaritas twisted together, perfectly balanced flavors) and a Shrimp & Cheese Chili Rellano with Deluxe Tomatillo Sauce, please. The guacamole is great, too. I love going during happy hour when the nacho bar is open and margaritas are discounted. The atmosphere is nothing but fun. The decor is something like PeeWee's Playhouse. The food is seriously good and the margaritas are perfection. Since this location is sort of new, they have a deal where is you bring in a framed picture of your dog to help decorate the Chihuahua bar, you get a free appetizer. Do it! read more

This food was disgusting. Front staff need to work on their customer service. Place was not busy and the young girl was more concerned about finding a t-shirt for her boyfriend than getting guests seated. My husband and I were waiting to be seated, we were told to give her a minute, then she proceeds to go over by the t-shirts. A family of 4 walks in and another girl comes and immediately seats them. My husband immediately asked the girl if she did not notice we were waiting before the other family. She proceeds to say that she thought we were waiting for a to go order. While this is happening, the girl that told us to hang on was right next to us and said nothing. Our instinct was to leave and we should have. Get seated and the hostess brings out chips, salsa and a cilantro ranch sauce. I don't know what they did to that salsa, but it looked like pink vomit and we did not eat it. We ordered the combo (steak and chicken) fajitas for two. When I tell you the meat had no flavor, it lacked ANY seasoning. Pretty sad when Chili's fajitas has better flavor. The only thing good was the platter that had our lettuce, guac and sour cream. The quality of the beef wasn't very good....food just didn't seem fresh. Coming from Texas, this was a disappointment. Those fresh made tortillas make a huge difference. I always get something with those tortillas because they are the best in Nashville. Also, the jalapeno & cilantro dipping sauce is so good you could drink it. The margheritas are typical, as well as all of their alcoholic beverages. Chuy's is a southern chain, but it feels like an authentic local place. My wife and I were killing a rainy Nashville day at the mall and needed lunch. We were looking to avoid the food court or the normal standbys like Chili's. We had to go out in the rain to find the entrance to Chuy's, but it was with it. We did not realize it was Cinco de Mayo and it was packed early. We started with chips and a dip that I can't explain except it was great. I had the grande burrito and it was amazing. What I liked best was that the tortillas were made on site. It just felt like real Mexican food. As a souvenir of our trip, we bought my son a Chuy's shirt, which are on sale for a low price. I wish Chuy's was closer to the northeast, but then again, I guess it would not be special if it was. read more

Terribly rude service for no reason. Have been going for 14 years to this location and after my family's experience with the most rude hostess ever we will never ever come back . Would love to see this place shut down. Went in and asked for a table . Was told we will have to wait as always and that's totally fine . I politely (and just making conversation ) asked if they'd been busy this day , and the lady proceeded to tell me it's none of my business and she doesn't have to answer my question. I don't drink too often, but when I'm looking for a good drink, this place has been added to my list! The food was pretty good. It definitely wasn't the best Mexican I've had, but the taco shells were freshly made (you can watch them be made when you first walk in the restaurant which is pretty cool), and the white and red salsas were freshly made and served with thin, crispy, chips. My last night in Nashville. I had tickets to a Cirque show at the Opry, so I decided to try and grab dinner at the mall. I saw that Chuy's had green chile. Green chile in the South? Sign me up! I arrived when they were super busy. I didn't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. I was lucky to find the last seat at the bar. I squeezed in and was ignored for a few minutes, but then a waiter brought me a menu, got my iced tea, and gave me some chips and salsa. I ordered some green chili NM-style enchiladas. The chips were the thinnest I've ever seen. They were like potato chip thin. The regular salsa didn't do much for me. There was also a white, creamy dip. I am not one for dips, usually, but this one was intriguing. I kept going back to it. NO idea what was in it. Good stuff My enchiladas were a little dry, but the Hatch green chile made me homesick. The beans were pretty good. I asked for no rice, but they brought it any way. (I hate that. It is wasteful. I asked 2 times for no rice.) It was super loud in there, but most bars are. We were a table of 4 yesterday at Opry Mills, Chuys. They brought in a table of 8 who had obviously already been drinking. More drinks followed and they yelled, talks, laughed continuosly so obnoxiously loud we could not even hear our waitress. I went to the Manager and he said he would not even ask them to tone it down. He refused to help. It was horrible and ruined our expensive meal that we cut short due to the unpleasant atmosphere.
